Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 495: Chapter 538: Children Have Their Own Interests

Seeing them so close, Yan Chuxia’s cheeks flushed slightly, and she quickly hid behind Xiao Bai, avoiding looking at them.

Mu Beiting rested his chin on her shoulder and said gently, ”You don’t need to worry too much! I never force him; everything depends on his own interest! If he’s interested in this, just let him be! Like other kids, they like dancing and painting, would you not allow them to learn? Xiao Bai just likes something different from them! Moreover, liking finance isn’t a bad thing; the entire Mu Group will be handed over to him in the future, and he’s been carrying burdens heavier than others since he was young!”

Ye Anxin stared at Mu Beiting in a daze!

This was the longest sentence the uncle had ever said to her since they’d known each other, and it was the first time the uncle analyzed the situation for her.

The uncle has really changed a lot!

However, what the uncle said makes sense! She’s been overthinking! Finance is just Xiao Bai’s own interest, just like other kids like toys and dancing, the things they like are just different!

She shouldn’t impose her own ideas into Xiao Bai’s mind! She should let Xiao Bai be, as long as he’s happy!

Ye Anxin nodded, ”Uncle, I understand, I’ve been overthinking! I’ve always looked at Xiao Bai as if he’s just a five-year-old child!”

Hearing this, Mu Beiting’s thin lips curved into a charming arc, teasingly, ”He is indeed a five-year-old child!”

Ye Anxin was taken aback, her mouth twitched, and she said speechlessly, ”Uh...! But he’s more mature than a fifty-year-old person!”

Mu Beiting smiled, gently scratched Ye Anxin’s tiny nose.

Ye Anxin pouted, slid off his lap, walked over to Yan Chuxia, and said with a smile, ”Chuxia, let’s not disturb them from reading anymore, let’s go out and play by ourselves! Let’s call them when it’s time to eat, okay?”

”But...!” Yan Chuxia pouted, looking at Xiao Bai reluctantly.

Ye Anxin sat down beside her, gently caressing her freshly washed hair, patiently coaxing, ”Brother Bai is reading, if we stay here we’ll just disturb him and he might get angry! Let’s go out and play, and when they’re done reading, they’ll play with us well!”

”Uh...!” Yan Chuxia frowned, hesitated for a moment, but in the end reluctantly nodded in agreement.

”Let’s go!” Ye Anxin smiled warmly, holding Yan Chuxia’s hand, leading her out of the camper.

When they went outside, most of the people swimming in the water had already come ashore, each returning to their rooms to shower and change clothes!

Only the youngest, Diandian and Gu Yunhuan, were still unwilling to come ashore; Gu Xingchen and Xiang Qingshi were still in the water playing with them.

Seeing that everyone had their own tasks, and she was the only one free, Ye Anxin pointed to a patch of forest not far behind the tent and said, ”Chuxia, let’s go to the woods in the back to pick some firewood! We’ll make a few bonfires tonight; it’s safer that way!”

Yan Chuxia looked in the direction Ye Anxin pointed, her eyes lit up, and she gladly nodded in agreement, ”Okay! I’ve never picked firewood before, it must be fun! Let’s go!”

”Let’s go!” Ye Anxin smiled, touched her little face, took her hand, and walked into the woods together.

This is not a large forest, but the trees are very lush, with all kinds of trees, each growing very thick!

Because this is a natural scenic area, although there are dedicated forest rangers, there are still quite a lot of branches on the ground, and they have all been dried by the sun! These are the best kind of firewood, easy to ignite.

Before picking, Ye Anxin did not forget to remind carefully, ”Chuxia, be careful not to hurt your hands!”

”I know!” Yan Chuxia nodded, and together with Ye Anxin, cautiously picked up the branches!

Ye Anxin picked the thicker ones, while Yan Chuxia picked the thinner ones. Picking and picking, Yan Chuxia unknowingly came to a small tree hole piled with thin branches! Without much thought, she reached out, ready to pull the branches from the small tree hole.

But as soon as her hand reached over, something darted out from inside, startling her, causing her to scream and fall to the ground.

”Chuxia, what’s wrong?” Hearing her scream, Ye Anxin hurried over.

Yan Chuxia immediately nestled into Ye Anxin’s arms, pointed at the small tree hole in front, and said fearfully, ”Aunt Ye, there’s something inside! It’s so scary!”

Ye Anxin frowned, holding Yan Chuxia, moved over slowly, reached out her hand, and knocked on the top of the small tree hole twice.

Before long, a pair of red eyes appeared in the small tree hole.

Seeing these sudden eyes, Ye Anxin was also startled, and just as she was about to hold Yan Chuxia and leave, upon closer inspection, she realized it was a gray bunny.

Seeing it was a rabbit, Ye Anxin heaved a sigh of relief, gently patted Yan Chuxia’s shoulder, and smiled, ”Chuxia, don’t be afraid, it’s a wild rabbit! This must be their burrow!”

Upon hearing that it was a rabbit, Yan Chuxia finally emerged from Ye Anxin’s embrace, turned around, and boldly continued to gaze at the small tree hole!

Sure enough, there was a small rabbit squatting at the entrance of the tree hole, blinking its pitiful eyes at her.

Seeing it was truly a rabbit, Yan Chuxia immediately released her tight grip on Ye Anxin, excitedly said, ”Aunt Ye, it’s really a rabbit! And it’s gray!”

Ye Anxin said gently, ”Yes! Wild rabbits are usually gray! This is its little house!”

Yan Chuxia tentatively asked, ”Auntie, can I hold it?”

Ye Anxin pointed at the rabbit, smiling, ”Go ahead and try, see if it runs away!”

”Okay!” Originally, Ye Anxin had said it as a joke, but Yan Chuxia took it seriously and indeed reached out for the rabbit in the small tree hole.

Ye Anxin helplessly shook her head, but did not make a sound!

Ye Anxin thought the wild rabbit would definitely be scared and hide back in the tree hole!

Unexpectedly, not only did the wild rabbit not run away, when Yan Chuxia’s little hand reached out, it even tilted its head and moved against Yan Chuxia’s hand.

Yan Chuxia took the opportunity to take it out from the tree hole, gently cradling it in her arms.

Yan Chuxia gently stroked the little rabbit in her arms and said softly, ”Auntie, it didn’t run away! Can we take it back home? It’s so cute!”

”Uh...” Ye Anxin frowned, somewhat hesitant.

Yan Chuxia said coquettishly, ”Auntie, let it stay with me for a few days! When we go back, I’ll return it!”

Seeing her pleading like this, Ye Anxin’s heart softened, and she nodded in agreement with a smile, ”Alright! Let’s go back! They should have finished showering by now!”

”Then let’s go back!” With that, Yan Chuxia stood up first, not waiting for Ye Anxin, and happily ran towards the outside of the forest.

Ye Anxin crouched down, picked up the firewood she’d dropped earlier, and ran after Yan Chuxia.

When the two returned to the tent, sure enough, everyone had already finished showering and changed into clean clothes, standing on the beach!
