Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 492: Chapter 535: The Buzzkill Father and Son

Seeing Yan Qinghan at a disadvantage, Ling Yueyue chuckled and asked Yan Chuxia, ”Chuxia, tell me, why do you like Brother Bai? What’s so great about him? To talk about looks, my Tiantian is not worse than him!”

”Brother Bai is the best in my eyes, incomparable to anyone! I just like my Brother Bai!” Even though Brother Bai has hurt her many times, her feelings for him remain unchanged.

Ling Yueyue sighed deeply, marveling at the precociousness of kids these days, and said, ”Sigh! Xiao Bai, since Chuxia is so devoted to you, I think you should just go along with it! Her family is powerful and influential, a perfect match for you!”

Xiao Bai remained disdainful, curling his lips without making any response.

Although Xiao Bai consistently showed a cold and uninterested attitude toward Yan Chuxia, it did not affect her enthusiasm for him in the slightest! She was tirelessly catering to him! Even if he wasn’t thirsty, she’d hand him water, and as soon as he finished eating something, she’d give him something she just grilled.

Throughout the whole thing, Yan Chuxia was busy serving Xiao Bai with great delight.

Everyone present seemed to find it all quite normal, as if they were not surprised at all!

On the contrary, despite Yan Qinghan being tormented by Yan Chuxia, seeing his daughter so devoted to another man made him feel heartbroken, yet he dared not say anything.

Only Ye Anxin was completely baffled!

This was the first time she had seen such a scene!

She never knew her precious son could make Yan Qinghan’s precious daughter so devoted!

When did this happen, and why hadn’t she heard about it after being back for so long?

Seeing her so surprised, Ling Yueyue, while munching on a chicken wing, explained, ”Anxin, let me tell you, I don’t know what’s up with Yan Chuxia, since her first meeting with Xiao Bai, she’s been sticking to him. Once she started walking, she’d follow him around everywhere, no matter how he treated her, she was just so devoted! In the beginning, she liked hanging around your place! After starting kindergarten, it got a bit better! As time goes by, you’ll get used to it! Look, we’ve all gotten used to it long ago! Even Nuannuan isn’t surprised anymore! It’s just Yan Qinghan who’s still struggling with jealousy!”

”Pfft!” Hearing this, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

There’s a saying, daughters are their father’s little lovers. Yan Qinghan dotes on his daughter so much, watching her be so devoted to another man must drive him crazy with jealousy!

Haha! Who would’ve thought Yan Qinghan would end up in such a situation! Serves him right!

Apart from Xiao Bai and Yan Chuxia, the rest of the children behaved well, even the youngest, Diandian, and Gu Yunhuan, sat quietly by their parents, eating the grilled chicken legs prepared for them!

Among these kids, Tiantian was the oldest, sitting quietly beside Tiantian, occasionally helping her wipe her mouth, passing seasonings, and feeding her his freshly grilled foods! He was attentive throughout, completely acting like a big brother!

Seeing Tiantian like this, Ye Anxin smiled satisfied and felt happy for Yueyue!

Being able to truly accept Yueyue, treating her like his biological mother and Tiantian as his little sister, there’s nothing more joyous than this!

Thinking back five years ago, Tiantian was still a little troublemaker, and after five years, he has grown into a little adult!

Ye Anxin plated some grilled chicken and placed it in front of Mu Beiting, ”Uncle, have some! I grilled it just for you, didn’t even dare to put any chili!”

Mu Beiting glanced at the plate, took a piece without a word, and started eating.

Since Xiao Bai already had Yan Chuxia taking care of him, Ye Anxin focused on grilling for herself and Mu Beiting!

Seeing Ye Anxin’s attention so focused on her father, Xiao Bai pouted, eyes filled with dissatisfaction and envy.

Noticing Xiao Bai seemed upset, Ye Anxin quickly explained with a smile, ”Xiao Bai, it’s not that Mom doesn’t grill for you, just look at Chuxia, she doesn’t eat and gives everything to you! How could Mom compete with her? You’ve got someone looking after you, your dad doesn’t! So I’ll take care of your dad first, you and Chuxia have fun!”

”Hmph! It’s just an excuse, you’re just saying you like Dad, not me!” Xiao Bai huffed, turning away angrily, refusing to look at Ye Anxin.

”I...!” Ye Anxin felt aggrieved, where did she show favoritism! If she grilled for Xiao Bai, Chuxia wouldn’t be happy!

She certainly didn’t want Chuxia thinking she’s competing with her for Brother Bai!

Seeing Ye Anxin a bit upset, Ling Yueyue comforted, ”Ignore them! Kids are like that! They’ll be fine in a while!”

Ye Anxin deliberately sighed, meaningfully saying, ”Sigh! Being a person is hard, being misunderstood is harder!”

Upon hearing this, Xiao Bai visibly flinched, turned back, his face slightly flushed, and buried himself in eating the food Chuxia had grilled!

Knowing Xiao Bai wasn’t mad anymore, Ye Anxin smiled contentedly and continued grilling for Mu Beiting.

Amidst everyone’s chatting and laughter, lunch finally came to an end! After lunch, everyone took a walk on the beach to digest their meals, then changed into swimsuits and went swimming!

Just like before, everyone went swimming, even the youngest Diandian and Gu Yunhuan changed into little swim shorts and went in, while Mu Beiting’s family of three sat unmoved on the beach chairs watching them play.

Ye Anxin couldn’t go because of her pregnancy! And Mu Beiting and Xiao Bai felt the water was unclean without disinfection, so they disdain mingling with so many people! So, despite Ye Anxin’s persuasion, the two were determined not to go.

Seeing she couldn’t persuade them, Ye Anxin simply stopped trying and sat with them on the beach, enviously watching everyone else having fun.

Yan Chuxia, although having fun in the sea, kept glancing at Xiao Bai, as if afraid he’d suddenly disappear.

”Sigh! I’m starting to wonder if inviting you all was right or wrong! You’re just here to cool the atmosphere!” Watching everyone else have so much fun, while this father and son duo sat aloof and unsmiling beside them, Ye Anxin started to regret inviting them.

”Anxin, catch!” Just as Ye Anxin finished speaking, Ling Yueyue’s excited voice called out! Before Ye Anxin could react, she was suddenly drenched with water.

Before Ye Anxin could recover from this, Ling Yueyue splashed her several more times with water!

After being splashed several times by Ling Yueyue, not only did she end up completely soaked, but even Mu Beiting and Xiao Bai sitting beside her were not spared!
