Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 453: Chapter 496: Son’s Victory

Serving the little master for five years, it’s the first time he’s realized that the little master has so many tricks up his sleeve to deal with the madam, with one plan after another!

He always thought the little master was quite aloof, so why does he become a completely different person in front of the madam?

The butler sighed inwardly and shook his head helplessly.

After listening to Xiao Bai’s words, Ye Anxin turned her head to look at Mu Beiting, puzzled, ”Uncle, why did Xiao Bai say it was you who carried him out of the room? Didn’t you just tell me he left on his own?”

Mu Beiting’s forehead veins throbbed as he glared furiously at Xiao Bai and gritted his teeth, ”Mu Shaobai, enough is enough!”

Startled by his glare, Xiao Bai immediately burrowed into Ye Anxin’s arms, weakly saying, ”Mom, I’m scared!”

Ye Anxin quickly patted his head to comfort him, ”Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid! Do you want to sleep with Mommy?”

Xiao Bai nodded, his muffled voice coming from Ye Anxin’s embrace, ”Yeah! I’m scared! With you by my side, I’m not afraid anymore!”

Ye Anxin asked again, ”So do you want to sleep with Daddy and Mommy, or do you want Mommy to stay with you?”

Xiao Bai lifted his head from Ye Anxin’s embrace, gave a frightened look at Mu Beiting, and then immediately buried his head back into Ye Anxin’s arms, saying in a low voice, ”I want to sleep with Mommy!”

Having taken in all of Xiao Bai’s expressions and actions, Ye Anxin gave Mu Beiting a reproachful look, nodded without hesitation, ”Alright! Since Xiao Bai wants to sleep with just Mommy, I’ll come sleep with you! Let’s go!” With that, she took Xiao Bai’s hand, gave Mu Beiting another reproachful look, and left the room without looking back.

As Ye Anxin held Xiao Bai’s hand and walked to the door, Xiao Bai glanced back and made a funny face at Mu Beiting, then left triumphantly with Ye Anxin.

Mu Beiting clenched his jaw, watching their retreating figures, his fists clenching at his sides, radiating a murderous aura.

Sensing the imminent eruption of his furious anger, the butler quickly spoke to console him, ”Sir, don’t blame the little master. He’s been longing for madam for five years, remembering her for five years, and now that madam is finally back, naturally, the little master wouldn’t want to leave her side! Once madam has been back for a while, and the little master gets used to it, he won’t vie with sir for madam’s affection anymore!”

Mu Beiting shot a cold glance at the butler, mercilessly ordering, ”Get out!”

”Uh...!” The butler, feeling awkward, scratched his nose, gave Mu Beiting a sympathetic look, turned, and dejectedly left. Not forgetting to shut the door behind him to block off Mu Beiting’s murderous gaze.

Mu Beiting, full of anger, was breathing heavily with his chest heaving!

After a while, he walked over to the bed, sat down, took a box of cigarettes out of the drawer in the nightstand, took one out, put it in his mouth, lit it, and took a deep drag before exhaling forcefully.

......

On the other side, Ye Anxin accompanied Xiao Bai back to the room, holding him as they lay on his one and a half meters wide single bed!

Being held in Ye Anxin’s embrace, Xiao Bai’s heart felt warm, and he couldn’t help but snuggle closer to her.

The lights in the room were turned off, plunging it into darkness. Ye Anxin tightly held Xiao Bai, speaking softly, ”Xiao Bai, has anyone ever told you stories before? Do you want Mommy to tell you a story to help you sleep?”

”Mm!” Xiao Bai responded softly.

Ye Anxin asked, ”Does Xiao Bai have a favorite story you’d like to hear?”

Xiao Bai shook his head, replying quietly, ”No! I’ve never heard a story before; I thought it was something only kids do! But today, I want to hear Mommy tell one!”

Hearing Xiao Bai’s words made Ye Anxin feel a stab in her heart, her eyes unknowingly reddened, and her hold on Xiao Bai tightened as she rasped, ”Then how about Mommy tells you the story of the Bird and the Fish?”

Xiao Bai nodded, softly saying, ”Okay!”

”Once upon a time, a bird fell in love with a fish. The bird could only fly in the sky, and the fish could only swim in the water. This love was destined to have no result from the start, but they still fell in love. The bird said, I just want to see you every day, that’s enough for me. The fish was so moved it shed tears, transparent tears that merged into the water, invisible to all. The fish said, Me too, we share the same love born in two different worlds, transcending space. The bird said, This love is eternal, without any promises, it is the connection of hearts. The fish said, This love is also the most beautiful, as we cannot touch each other, but in our hearts, we are each other’s most perfect.”

Xiao Bai listened intently and carefully. At this point, he couldn’t help but ask, ”What happened then?”

Ye Anxin continued, ”Later on, the bird and the fish were deeply immersed in the ocean of love, persistently looking at each other every day, come rain or shine, unwavering, until one day, they could no longer endure the daily torment of longing for touch, even if only for a split second. They were satisfied. So they made a pact, when the bird flew close to the sea surface, the fish would leap with all its might, fulfilling their wish to touch for that split second. The bird, filled with excitement, gracefully glided its beautiful wings close to the sea surface, and at the moment when the fish saw the bird was closest, it exerted all its strength and leaped. The fish finally broke through the surface, its head meeting the bird’s beautiful head, and in that brief moment, a tragedy occurred. The bird’s head bled from the force of the fish’s leap. The bird died, but it died smiling, because it finally experienced touching its most beloved, which is death, the flight of life.”

After listening to the story, Xiao Bai remained silent for a while, then reflected, ”Actually, this conclusion is also a kind of perfection for them! As long as it once existed, even if the end is tragic, they have a beautiful memory! I think, although the bird died, it had no regrets! Because it smiled!”

”I didn’t expect our Xiao Bai to be so sensible, understanding so much, and seeing things so clearly?” Ye Anxin lovingly stroked Xiao Bai’s head.

A five-year-old child was able to comprehend the deeper meaning behind this story, revealing how mature or perhaps how complex the child’s mind must be?

Back then, when she was Xiao Bai’s age, it was also when she heard this story from her mom!

But back then, she didn’t comprehend the meaning within; she only thought the bird was silly, for choosing to sacrifice itself for a love that wasn’t meant for it.

Even when she first started dating Mu Rufeng, she hadn’t experienced such insights and feelings about it.
