The Comeback of the Cannon-Fodder Supporting Actress

Chapter 610: Chapter 599: The Stepmother Who Refused to Be a Stepping Stone 87 (December Monthly Ticket Bonus)

Li Zhiyuan thought of how Zhang Fengfeng almost froze to death outside years ago because of Li Zhifang and Wang Baozhu.

He sighed deeply: ”Let’s just do as Third said.”

”Sun San got off too easy.”

Li Zhikang was somewhat resentful.

Li Zhicheng chuckled: ”Whether it’s fortune or disaster, who knows. That kid’s a real piece of work, any family that takes him in is asking for bad luck.”

And that was truly the case.

So, Li Zhicheng and Li Zhipeng took Li Jindong with the paternity test results and found Sun San.

They laid out the evidence, and coupled with the undeniable resemblance between Li Jindong and Sun San, Sun San had no choice but to acknowledge the son.

Sun San was truly overjoyed, getting such a big fat son without any effort, who wouldn’t be happy about that.

Besides, Sun San’s wife had birthed several daughters for him, but not a single son; Sun San was almost driven mad by his desire for a son, and now his wish was fulfilled, naturally he was ecstatic.

”Who would’ve thought I, Sun San, would have a son.”

Sun San’s joy was so profound that his mouth was almost grinning to his ears.

He hugged Li Jindong: ”Big son, call me Dad.”

Li Jindong glared at Sun San: ”Who are you?”

Anyway, since they had delivered the person, Li Zhicheng didn’t care anymore. He reminded Sun San: ”You’d better get the household registration transferred quickly, and change his surname too.”

”Got it.”

Sun San promised.

He was just about to ask Li Jindong something, when his wife came charging out of the inner room, brandishing a kitchen knife and gesturing wildly: ”Sun San, you bastard, you actually with...”

Whatever happened to Sun San’s family, the Li Family didn’t bother about it anymore.

They stayed in the village for a few days, paid another visit to Li Zhifang’s grave, and then everyone went back to their respective homes.

Wang Baozhu couldn’t be found in a short time, they’d have to search slowly.

Anning also took her children back.

Now that all the children were in the Capital, Anning managed to settle the affairs in the Provincial City and also moved to the Capital.

When Liu Qi brought home someone he was dating, the Li Family finally found Wang Baozhu.

Turns out, the Li Family couldn’t find Wang Baozhu exactly because Lu Yi had helped her hide.

Because Lu Yi held a grudge against the Li Family over Li Jingming marrying Lu Meng, she knew Wang Baozhu also hated the Li Family, so she hid Wang Baozhu away.

Later, when the Li Family reduced their search efforts, Wang Baozhu reappeared.

She now looked disheveled and unrecognizable.

Having no skills, and unable to earn money, trying to survive was incredibly difficult.

She originally thought about relying on a man, but she no longer possessed her youthful attractiveness, and life had worn her down to an old and ugly state, far removed from her previous radiant beauty.

Wang Baozhu had no choice, and her hatred for the Li Family deepened.

She thought the Li brothers were so cruel, living such a good life, earning a lot of money; even a little bit of their spare change would have been enough for her and Li Zhifang to spend.

But the Li brothers, they didn’t care about their own brother, leaving her and Li Zhifang to endure much hardship.

If the Li brothers had extended a hand to help them, Li Zhifang would not have died, and she wouldn’t have ended up in such a state.

And Lu Yi also hated the Li Family.

The man she married was constantly beating her, and she suffered a lot of grievance; she blamed all this on the Li Family.

When the two women got together, they would often curse the Li Family, and afterwards, Wang Baozhu started losing her mind.

She instigated Lu Yi to kidnap Li Jingming’s daughter and sell her off, preferably to a deep mountain valley, where she could suffer for life.

Lu Yi also hated Lu Meng, and upon Wang Baobao’s instigation, really did collaborate with Wang Baozhu to steal the child.

Anning had previously warned Li Jingming and his spouse about this, and Li Zhifang and the others were also extremely concerned about the children.

As a result, no sooner had Lu Yi and Wang Baozhu taken action and taken the child away than she was found by the Li Family.

Then, the two women were caught, and were sentenced for the crime of human trafficking.

After Wang Baozhu entered prison, Li Jingyu specifically went to see her.

Li Jingyu looked at Wang Baozhu with eyes filled with hatred.

”Jingyu, hurry and get your mother out, think of a way, please save me.”

Wang Baozhu pleaded with Li Jingyu.

Li Jingyu said coldly: ”Why should I save you? With all the wrongs you’ve done, the suffering you’ve caused, why should I save you?”

Wang Baozhu was stunned: ”I am your mother, I gave birth to you, I raised you.”

”I wish you hadn’t.”

Li Jingyu grew increasingly resentful: ”Do you think I want to be born to someone like you? Why did you even come back after running away? When you were gone, we endured so much gossip. It was only after mother came back and did good things for the people in the village that they stopped talking about us in such a way, and it was mother who took care of us and helped us grow up one step at a time. When you weren’t here, how happy we were, that’s when our house was truly a home, why did you come back, why didn’t you just die out there.”

Towards the end, Li Jingyu couldn’t help but cry: ”I don’t have such a mother, you are not my mother, I will only ever have one mother...”

Wang Baozhu stared blankly at Li Jingyu.

After Li Jingyu finished speaking, she got up and left. Wang Baozhu wanted to stop her, but thinking of what Li Jingyu said, she felt chilled to the core.

Her children.

None of her children recognized her.

None of them were willing to help her, none of them were close to her.

How did she end up in this situation?

A couple turned against each other, their children were like enemies.

And all her biological children were close to Anning, holding her in higher esteem than their own birth mother, how could this be? How could this be? Why was her life even worse than her past life?

Wang Baozhu went mad, she went mad in prison.

She couldn’t accept such an outcome, constantly babbling that it shouldn’t be like this, she should be enjoying her life, it shouldn’t be like this...
