Not Being a Trainer This Time

”How is life by the World Tree?”

Naoki, who was checking the growth of crops between the furrows, casually greeted Mewtwo when he encountered it.

Upon hearing this, Mewtwo’s expression remained as calm as water, and it gently nodded.

Immediately, a deep voice rang in Naoki’s mind.

”Everything is fine.”

Yes, everything is fine, thought Mewtwo.

This World Tree perfectly met its expectations.

Remote location, tranquil and peaceful, no outsiders to disturb, only Pokémon living here.

More importantly, it no longer needed to go out specifically to find food for the Pokémon following it like before.

Thinking of this, Mewtwo couldn’t help but recall a few days ago when some of the Pokémon it had invited brought it Berries they had grown themselves.

Those cloned Pokémon were so pure and kind, they knew how to express gratitude.

Even though Mewtwo didn’t need those Berries, it still accepted the heartfelt gift.

It liked this place.

”That’s good.” Naoki smiled and said, ”I thought you might not be used to living here. Do you have any plans for the future? Like leaving here and seeing the world.”

Mewtwo remained silent.

After a while, it gently shook its head, ”No, it’s unnecessary now.”

”Alright then!” Naoki nodded upon hearing this, ”In that case, feel free to settle down here! If there’s anything you want to know, you can also use the Rotom Phone to learn more about the world we live in.”

”Thank you.” Mewtwo expressed its gratitude because the Rotom Phone was a gift from Naoki, and this place was cultivated by him.

As a Pokémon that possessed both human and Pokémon genes, perhaps not wanting to owe a favor, after a moment of silence, Mewtwo added:

”If you ever need any help in the future, you can find me.”

Hearing this, Naoki was slightly taken aback.

But looking at Mewtwo’s expression, he quickly understood its meaning.

Mewtwo was thanking him in this way!

”Alright, okay.” Naoki didn’t stand on ceremony with Mewtwo and agreed with a smile.

Seeing this, Mewtwo also breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Otherwise, it didn’t know how it would continue living here.

At this moment, Naoki suddenly saw the ground beneath his feet turn into a wide expanse of Grassy Terrain.

He turned around to see, and sure enough, saw the three Gogoat using Grassy Terrain over there.

And the Skiddo was vigorously eating the Grassy Seed in the basket.

What were they doing?

Naoki and Mewtwo were drawn over.

”What are you doing?” Naoki asked.

The Skiddo swallowed the Grassy Seed in its mouth and explained, ”Meeh!” (The Gogoat seniors are instructing me to practice Grass Sacred Sword!)

Having eaten a few Translation Nuts Cake ahead of time, Naoki naturally understood what the Skiddo meant.

He looked in surprise at his three Gogoat: ”Grass Sacred Sword?”

The Gogoat quickly nodded: ”Meeh!” (That way it can protect itself and other Pokémon!)

”Meeh!” (That’s right! I want to become as strong as the Gogoat seniors!)

The Skiddo said with determination and then lowered its head and continued to eat the Grassy Seed with effort.

Naoki: ”...”

He turned his gaze to his three Gogoat and then looked at the Skiddo in front of him.

Could it be reading Keldeo’s script?

Doesn’t that mean his three Gogoat have become Sacred Swordsmen?

It’s just a pity there’s no Kyurem here for it to challenge... Otherwise, it could really recreate Keldeo’s movie plot, awakening its own Sacred Sword in a moment of crisis.

Mewtwo, witnessing everything on the side, fell into contemplation.

Protection?

Naoki took a deep breath and said, ”Alright, in that case, from today, I’ll leave the Skiddo’s training to you three.”

The natural energy and grassy aura by the World Tree were abundant, making the Skiddo’s training achieve twice the result with half the effort.

”Meeh!” The Gogoat immediately expressed they had no problem with this.

In the evening, Naoki returned to the ranch. After handing over the produce that needed to be sold today to Zack, he went to the kitchen to start preparing dinner for the Pokémon.

Many of the Pokémon on the ranch leaned more toward sweet dishes than meat.

Like Alcremie, Eevee, Pawmot, Calyrex, Indeedee siblings, and so on.

So tonight, following the recipes from the dessert recipe book, Naoki baked many sweet treats.

For example, Tiramisu, Portuguese egg tarts, caramel pudding, and apple pie.

Tiramisu is a dessert with a taste of coffee liqueur, with mascarpone cheese as the main ingredient, replacing the sponge cake of traditional desserts with ladyfingers, and then adding coffee, cocoa powder, and other materials, and refrigerating it.

In the afternoon, Naoki had already made one to put in the refrigerator, and it would be ready to serve when the Pokémon returned.

Besides Tiramisu, there was caramel pudding made from rich cream and thin, crispy caramel, apple pie with a filling of sweet apple, mixed with cinnamon and lemon juice, and so on.

The sky outside grew darker.

It was at this time that the Eevee who had spent the day playing by the World Tree returned.
