Not Being a Trainer This Time

In an instant, the earth trembled, and everything on this prairie was utterly destroyed, as wildfires began to blaze, and countless Pokemon started to flee in all directions.

Leon’s gaze was irresistibly shaken by this scene.

And next, he witnessed a sight he would find hard to forget for the rest of his life.

From within the gigantic meteor that could destroy this land, a hideous, dragon-like mysterious creature slowly crawled out!

The creature’s body was made of a strange material emanating a red glow, with a deep purple substance resembling an exoskeleton or armor attached to it, resembling a dragon’s skeleton in appearance.

Its head was triangular, a semi-transparent red membrane-like structure, adorned with five long spines extending backward, a pair of eye-like spots formed by three white circles at its front, and a slender, toothed jaw made of deep purple material.

Its body and tail were thin and long, covered with spine-shaped, spiked deep purple material, resembling a vertebral column.

Its limbs and claws were made of deep purple material, thin and sharp, with each claw having three pairs of tips.

In the midsection of its body, encased by its skeletal frame, there was an area resembling a ribcage.

A pink, heart-like glowing core was pulsating slowly within it!

”What on earth is that creature?” Leon’s voice was shocked; its size far surpassed even the largest Pokemon in the world, Wailord.

”That is the [Darkest Day].” Calyrex’s voice slowly resonated.

”Eternatus.” Naoki silently added the name of that Pokemon in his heart.

Leon looked surprised, incredulous, ”The Darkest Day? Is that creature the Darkest Day itself?”

Calyrex nodded gently.

Then, the scenes before them continued to unfold.

The Pokemon that emerged from the meteor, for reasons unknown, was in poor condition, extremely weak.

Just after breaking free from the meteor, it collapsed due to exhaustion, its massive body falling back into the meteor and slipping into a slumber, with only the pink core in its chest pulsing at an extremely slow pace.

Eternatus had fallen asleep.

But the matter wasn’t over.

Calyrex’s thoughts stirred slightly, and time began to accelerate automatically.

Spring came and went, the earth was covered in frost, and then the snow melted, and everything began to revive.

After countless cycles of the seasons, that creature awoke from its slumber.

But its condition still seemed poor.

Apparently in an attempt to sustain its life, it began to massively absorb the land’s energy from the Galar Region.

As the creature’s condition gradually improved, abnormalities began appearing throughout the Galar Region.

First, the sky.

Affected by the terrifying energy unleashed by that creature, the space above Galar was twisted, creating large, swirling black whirlpools.

Then, a red light enveloped the nearby Pokemon, causing them all to enter Dynamax and Gigantamax states, losing their sanity and becoming nearly frenzied.

These giant Pokemon began to wreak havoc throughout the Galar Region, leaving devastation in their wake, with forests set ablaze and human towns reduced to ruins.

The royalty ruling over the Galar Region cowered in the palace, summoning heroes from all around to prevent the disaster.

But the heroes’ strength was far from enough, as at that time, the entire Galar Region was almost destroyed.

The scene cut off abruptly here.

In an instant, everyone returned to the living room.

Leon was in a daze, seemingly yet to recover his composure.

Naoki’s mind recalled the subsequent scene.

With the King’s Power, Zacian and Zamazenta went to challenge Eternatus, shattering it in battle.

Eternatus’ body fragments cascaded down in the form of Wishing Stars, Wishing Pieces, and Wishing Chips.

Its core, gravely injured, also descended into slumber.

Zacian and Zamazenta saved the Galar Region from disaster, and that event became a legend passed down within Galar.

Until later, when Chairman Rose and his secretary Oleana began collecting Wishing Stars, attempting to awaken Eternatus...

”This is the truth of the Darkest Day.”

Calyrex gazed solemnly at the descendants of Galar before him.

”Your guess is correct, in the near future, the Darkest Day will awaken, and by that time, it will once again shroud the entire Galar Region.”

Upon hearing these words, Leon’s expression became grim.

He firmly and seriously said, ”I will definitely prevent this from happening.”

Calyrex sensed the determination in this descendant from Galar.

He appreciatively looked towards Leon, nodding, ”Since that is the case, at that time you may go to the Slumbering Weald, seeking the aid of those two heroes, which is the final help I can provide to the Galar Region.”

The Slumbering Weald? Two heroes?

Leon blinked in slight surprise.

His gaze met Naoki’s.

Naoki nodded, ”Indeed, they were the two kings, Zacian the King of Swords and Zamazenta the King of the Shield who, three thousand years ago, repelled the Darkest Day, saving Galar.”

”Of course, you can also rely on me when the time comes, I have a Pokemon here that can provide some assistance in the battle against the Darkest Day.”

”Come to think of it, it could probably be considered a junior to Zacian and Zamazenta!”

Such a case was too dangerous, and Leon instinctively did not wish to involve others, as it was the responsibility of the Champion to protect the Galar Region.
