Not Being a Trainer This Time

The next morning, after finishing work at the ranch, Naoki turned his attention to the giant carrot that had been ripened by the Gogoat.

Like the giant watermelon before, this carrot also belonged to the category of giant crops.

Its color was reddish-orange, with a diameter of about one meter, and just the part protruding from the soil was already over two meters.

It’s hard to imagine how big this carrot would really be.

After strolling around the field once, Naoki instructed, ”Koraidon, help me pull it out!”

”Ah gah ss!”

Koraidon responded and leaped up, landing next to the carrot, wrapping both arms around it, and exerting force.

The next second, the giant carrot was pulled out by Koraidon’s brute strength and brought to Naoki’s side.

”Nice job!” Naoki praised with a smile.

He looked up, and information about the carrot emerged in his mind.

[Giant Carrot: A type of giant crop, filled with nutrients, favored by certain Pokemon, and can be used for cooking.]

If anyone at the ranch loved carrots the most, it would be Calyrex.

Thinking briefly, Naoki had a plan.

A carrot this huge is a waste if left here just to watch, and it’ll spoil, so why not hollow it out and make carrot paste and carrot pancakes, and use the remaining carrot shell to create a little carrot hut for small-sized Pokemon like Eevee to play with.

With action in mind, Naoki set to work immediately.

He first scooped out the carrot flesh with a spoon and knife and set it aside, then asked Koraidon to help put the remaining carrot onto the pickup truck.

Naoki got into the driver’s seat, ready to visit Keri’s cottage.

He remembered that Keri had a special material to maintain the original shape of crops and prevent them from rotting.

Naoki had seen Keri use this method to make pumpkin lanterns before, which stayed fresh at room temperature for five months.

Driving out of the ranch, it took about ten minutes to reach Porto Marinada Town.

Naoki parked the car in front of Keri’s house; Keri was doing some woodworking at the door and was quite surprised to see him.

”Hey? How come you have time to come by today?”

Naoki and Koraidon unloaded the carrot and explained their purpose:

”I want to ask you to help transform this giant carrot into a carrot hut for the Pokemon at the ranch to play with.”

Upon hearing this, Keri understood Naoki’s intention.

The giant carrot didn’t surprise her much, as she had seen a similarly giant watermelon at Naoki Ranch before.

Come to think of it, these must be the power of Calyrex.

Keri: ”Alright, no problem, it will take about three days.”

”Okay, then I’ll come back to pick it up in three days,” Naoki nodded.

After paying, Naoki was about to leave but suddenly remembered another matter to attend to.

That is, ordering construction materials to bring to the World Tree for building the Exploration Team Union.

The current time is March 200, and in four months, the World Tree will be fully grown.

Though it still needs some time, as of now, the ecological environment inside the World Tree has largely stabilized and isn’t likely to change much.

Over the next four months, based on the existing foundation, the internal space of the World Tree will continue to expand.

Naoki recalled the space he visited with his Pokemon last time.

There was a vast open area, surrounded by forests and lakes, the perfect place to build the Exploration Team Union.

Therefore, Naoki planned to set the construction site for the Union there.

But aside from this, there was another problem.

Naoki was clueless about building houses and couldn’t possibly create all those structures alone.

After brief contemplation, Naoki turned his gaze to Keri and her Machamp assistant.

Keri was momentarily stunned and asked, ”What’s wrong? Is there something else?”

”I have another request for you,” Naoki said earnestly.

Surprised by his expression, Keri, nevertheless, asked, ”Oh? What is it?”

Naoki: ”I need you to help me build some facilities, but not at the ranch, it’s at another place.”

”Are you planning to start a second ranch?” Keri was taken aback.

Naoki: ”...No, come with me and you’ll understand.”

Ten minutes later, Keri was levitating in the Reversed World, staring at the fragmented Sky Islands and deep voids, completely dazed.

”Oh my...” Keri muttered in shock, ”What kind of place is this?”

”This is Giratina’s Reversed World.”

Naoki spoke softly beside her.

His eyes glanced at the nearby Flower Sky Island; Giratina wasn’t there now; perhaps it had gone to patrol its territory or to scare netizens through the web.

”Giratina?!” A huge exclamation mark appeared above Keri’s head: ”Is it that Legendary Pokemon from the Pokemon Forum that uses Rotom?”

”That’s right.” Naoki nodded and didn’t say much about the topic, instead returning to the main point: ”Do you see that big tree over there?”

Keri followed his direction and indeed saw a huge tree there.

Naoki: ”I want to ask you to help me build something on that tree, something like the Pokemon Tavern at the ranch, for the Pokemon to use.”
