Not Being a Trainer This Time

Regarding the existence of Calyrex, the official personnel from the Galar region have not responded.

Besides the few initial members of the royal family who engaged in online arguments, only the regular Trainers living in the Galar region remain.

Some people feel very regretful about Calyrex’s departure, while others continue to curse the Galar Royal Family.

What surprised Naoki was that not many people considered Calyrex as an important resource for the Galar region.

Logically speaking, such a Legendary Pokémon should be crucial for a region.

But on second thought, Naoki realized that not all Legendary Pokémon are beneficial for a region.

Like Groudon and Kyogre in the Hoenn Region, whenever they have battles, they bring all sorts of disasters to the Hoenn region.

The people there surely wish for them to stay far away.

Moreover, Legendary Pokémon inherently are independent entities, without any claim of belonging to any region or League.

This makes sense then.

As for the Galar League’s reaction, it was within Naoki’s expectations.

Because as seen in the games, Chairman Rose vigorously develops Dynamax battles, attempting to utilize the energy from Eternatus to provide endless energy for the Galar region, thereby promoting industrial and economic development in Galar.

In this scenario, the agriculture represented by Calyrex isn’t that important for the Galar region.

Invited by Naoki, Professor Oak planned to stay on the ranch for a while to observe the Pokémon ecology carefully.

Thus, after logging the legends and information of Calyrex, Professor Oak shifted his attention to other Pokémon on the ranch.

On the morning of February 27th, League Year 200, Professor Oak began ecological research on the Pokémon in the ranch.

He held a telescope, hiding in the grass, observing the muscular Farfetch’d waving a gigantic leek.

The Farfetch’d easily lifted the leek taller than itself, swinging it like a sword.

Watching this scene, Professor Oak was full of amazement.

He had never seen a Farfetch’d wielding such a large leek!

Moreover, this Farfetch’d was bigger than average, probably due to years of exercise, with firm muscles beneath its white chest feathers.

The Farfetch’d had sharp eyes, with high-raised V-shaped eyebrows, suddenly swinging its leek towards the wooden dummy.

Accompanied by a series of ”bang bang bang” sounds, the Farfetch’d’s attacks hit the wooden dummy like a storm.

”Wow! Is this a special form of Farfetch’d? A Paldean form of Farfetch’d?” Professor Oak exclaimed.

”No, that’s just a normal Farfetch’d that’s been working out recently.”

Naoki happened to hear Professor Oak’s remark as he passed by, looked at Professor Oak’s sneaky posture, and said helplessly:

”Professor Oak, you can go next to the Pokémon to watch, no need to hide and peek.”

Professor Oak chuckled, stood up, and scratched his head, explaining:

”If I’m beside them, the Pokémon won’t be used to it, only like this can they show their most natural posture, hahaha, you can go ahead, don’t mind me, I’m just watching casually!”

Naoki could only nod helplessly, ”Alright then, if there’s anything you want to know later, we can chat.”

”No problem!” Professor Oak nodded with a cheerful smile.

So Naoki went to harvest apples in the apple garden with Koraidon and the Psyducks.

Professor Oak continued to observe the Pokémon ecology of this place.

At this time, it was early morning, and the ranch was full of vitality everywhere.

The Dragonites, along with their partner Rotoms, orderly started the delivery work.

Other Dragonites, carrying messenger bags, flew off one after another.

Meanwhile, Naoki’s lead Dragonite stood beside the fields, summoning the wind and rain, using Rain Dance to irrigate the farmland.

In the fields, a Dugtrio emerged its head from the soft soil, basking in the rain and fresh air, with all three heads showing comfortable expressions.

The diligent Combees flew out from the hive, beginning to pollinate crops and collect pollen to make honey.

This scene seemingly constituted a complete agricultural ecological chain.

”Using Dugtrio to till the land, Dragonite to water, Combee to help pollinate... fascinating!” Professor Oak was deeply interested.

Soon, when Dragonite finished watering, the rain cloud floating over the fields dissipated.

The Dugtrio, having finished breathing, swiftly dove into the ground.

Then, Professor Oak saw the three Gogoats wandering over from the pen.

Witnessing this scene made Professor Oak a little surprised.

”Huh? The Gogoats are coming over, what are they going to do?”

The next moment, Professor Oak got his answer.

The three Gogoats walked up to a spot beside the fields and stood still, not waiting for Professor Oak to react, a terrifying burst of Grass Type Energy exploded from them.

In an instant, the area around the fields was completely enveloped in a green glow, like a radiant grand stage.

The three Gogoats stood within, concentrating on cultivating the crops.
