Not Being a Trainer This Time

Naoki remembers that at the beginning, Calyrex could shorten the World Tree’s growth cycle by 2,000 years at a time.

Later on, as people from Porto Marinada Town and tourists from afar heard about the legend of Calyrex, its powers increased, allowing it to shorten the growth cycle by over 4,000 years at once.

And now, the number Calyrex can shorten has doubled again, reaching nearly 10,000 years.

Standing beside him, Calyrex looked weary, but his expression was very gentle: ”This is all the power I have at the moment.”

Calyrex lifted his head, gazing up at the towering and majestic giant tree, feeling immensely honored and filled with anticipation.

”Do you want to take a break?” Naoki asked.

Calyrex shook his head: ”No need to rest, like you, I also want to personally enter the World Tree and take a look.”

Seeing this, Naoki didn’t say much, he simply said: ”Then let’s go inside together!”

A few small Eevees clung to him, curiously peering at the entrance of the tree.

Naoki, holding a pink Dratini, stepped into the entrance.

Koraidon, Cyclizar, Pawmot, Gogoats, Alcremie, Ogerpon, Flutter Mane, Gholdengo, Farfetch’d, Butterfree, the trio of Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon, along with Glaceon and Umbreon followed behind.

Through the entrance, a winding and intricate passageway unfolded before Naoki.

The passage was long and highly complex, seemingly designed to confuse intruders.

Naoki walked for a long time, only to find himself lost.

He looked at the dead end in front of him and, feeling helpless, had to ask Calyrex to use Telekinesis to help find the way.

With the help of Calyrex, they finally found the correct path, reaching the center of the World Tree.

There, a special upward passage like an elevator awaited them.

A pale green ring of light connected to the top of the World Tree, with strange bubbles continuously rising within, seemingly allowing one to reach the top only by riding them.

Naoki reached out and lightly touched the ring of light, and discovered that his hand passed through it.

The small Eevees hanging onto him were also curious, crowding around, jumping to the ground, and gently sniffing the aroma emanating from the light ring with their noses.

Suddenly, one of the small Eevees was accidentally bumped by its companion, sending it tumbling directly into the light ring.

”Eevee!”

The Eevee was startled and hurriedly tried to call for help, but in the next second, a transparent bubble enveloped it, lifting it towards the sky.

Naoki, caught off guard, saw the Eevee fly away right before his eyes.

”Kora!”

The clever Koraidon pointed at the bubble, indicating that they could also ride the bubbles to catch up.

Naoki noticed the next ascending bubble and, without saying much, nodded and led a group of Pokemon into the light ring.

After all, this is the World Tree, there couldn’t possibly be any danger inside.

In the next second, several bubbles automatically rose, enveloping Naoki and the Pawmo inside, carrying them upwards.

Along the way, Naoki glimpsed the second layer, the third layer, the fourth layer, the fifth layer... through the pale green glow.

This left Naoki utterly amazed.

Was the internal space of the World Tree really this vast?!

The bubble elevator ascended rapidly, and before Naoki could figure out how many layers there were, it reached the top of the tree.

With a pop, the bubble burst, releasing Naoki and Koraidon into a vibrant area.

As Naoki and the Pokemon took in the view before them, they were utterly stunned.

The soil was fertile, the grass lush, and in the depths of the forest, a tranquil lake lay surrounded by mist, like an ethereal fairyland. The shores were lined with trees draped with hanging green vines and Shaman Moss.

Brightly colored flowers bloomed on the grassy shore, and a rich natural aroma filled the air, bringing a sense of relaxation and happiness.

This was the top of the World Tree, and through the dense canopy, Naoki saw the black void of the Reversed World.

In the real world, the sky above would certainly be a clear blue or an expanse of star-filled night.

What a beautiful scene it would be!

”Pawmot…” Pawmot mumbled.

Even without eating the Translation Nuts Cake, Naoki could understand what it meant without any translation.

Pawmot was saying: ”So beautiful...”

”Yes indeed!”

Naoki saw the Eevee that had been carried away by the bubble standing on the grass, staring at the scene in awe.

He was in no hurry and decided to sit down on the soft grass, watching his Pokemon play and frolic in this place.

Gogoats and Tropius stood on the grass with bright eyes, occasionally bending their heads to munch the lush grass.

The Eevees ran back and forth on the grass, starting a game of hide and seek.

Vaporeon seemed very interested in the lake; it walked over, gazed at its reflection within, and then leaped in, swimming happily.

Arboliva appeared to love this place, standing tall on the grass, basking in the rich Natural Energy, and contentedly closing its eyes.

Pawmot flew around the forest, continuously exploring this place.
