Not Being a Trainer This Time

He took out his Rotom Phone and searched online for information about Eternatus and the King of Sword and Shield in the Galar Region.

However, he didn’t find any information; he only found two humans known as the King of Swords and the King of Shield.

There was an introduction about them, supposedly the ancient royal family’s members of the Galar Region who used their sword and shield to repel the Darkest Day and protect the Galar Region.

Looking at this information, Professor Oak couldn’t help but be full of questions.

How is this inconsistent with what Naoki said?

Naoki naturally noticed Professor Oak’s intentions.

However, it’s impossible to find any information about Eternatus online.

The situation in the Galar Region is quite complicated.

Rose, the president of Macro Cosmos and the chairman of the Galar League, plans to use Eternatus as a power source to provide Dynamax Energy to the entire Galar Region.

Currently, Eternatus is sealed in the underground energy plant in Hammerlocke City.

Chairman Rose’s intentions might be good, but his plan was shockingly audacious, and he underestimated Eternatus’s power, which led to Eternatus losing control and causing the Darkest Day to shroud Galar Region once more.

Leon was gravely injured trying to stop the disaster, and in the end, it was up to Hop, Zacian, and Zamazenta to save the day and reseal Eternatus.

This plan was extremely dangerous, and naturally, Chairman Rose wouldn’t disclose any information about Eternatus; he would instead seal it all away.

As the chairman of the League, it’s a simple matter for Rose to do so effortlessly.

Furthermore, as the president of Macro Cosmos, nearly all enterprises in the Galar Region belong to him.

In summary, it’s a monopoly.

”Why does the information say the heroes who repelled the Darkest Day were the Galar Royal Family?” Professor Oak asked questioningly.

”Because the influence of Calyrex, Zacian, and Zamazenta threatened the Galar Royal Family’s status. After Calyrex fell asleep and Zacian and Zamazenta went into seclusion, they stole the achievements of these heroes, claiming publicly it was their royal family who repelled the Darkest Day,” Naoki explained.

”Information dissemination in those times was not developed; there were no phones or TVs. Even those who witnessed the battle involving Zacian and Zamazenta were very few.”

”And the belief of humans can empower Calyrex. Their achievements were stolen, and when the elders who knew the truth passed away, the only ones left were the people who were kept in the dark.”

”In the end, no one remembers Calyrex, the sleeping Calyrex loses its source of power, unable to awaken for a long time, and even lost its memory.”

Upon hearing this, Professor Oak finally understood.

Only then did he grasp the meaning behind Naoki’s initial statement that Calyrex wanders alone across the vast snowy plains.

”Those hypocritical royals are truly detestable!” Perhaps out of respect for the heroes, Professor Oak rarely gets angry.

Pokemon shed blood and sweat to protect humans, yet those royals not only failed to thank them, but they also stole their achievements to maintain their own image!

Seeing Professor Oak’s reaction, Naoki wasn’t surprised.

He smiled slightly and continued: ”So, our reason for inviting you, Professor, this time is to ask you for a favor.”

”What?” Professor Oak was slightly puzzled.

Naoki said: ”Please help log Calyrex’s information and legends into the Pokemon Pokedex.”

”Sure, no problem, leave it to me!” Professor Oak readily agreed.

As a passionate Pokemon researcher, he would never allow these Pokemon heroes to be wronged!

That afternoon, Professor Oak used Naoki’s computer and his own Rotom Phone for remote work.

He contacted Professor Oak’s Research Institute located in Pallet Town and communicated with his assistant.

Naoki didn’t know what exactly Professor Oak did; he only saw that the next morning, a new Pokemon entry appeared in the Pokedex on the Rotom Phone.

[Calyrex: King Pokémon, possessing the power of healing and blessings, a Pokémon full of love and compassion, once ruled the Galar Region a long time ago.]

Following it was a research paper published by Professor Oak.

This paper was completed overnight by Professor Oak at Naoki Ranch, and the subject of the research was Calyrex, detailing its legends and its relationship with the King of Sword and Shield, asserting that it is a great Pokémon!

Once the paper was completed, Professor Oak used his connections to publish it in a prestigious magazine in the Pokemon Research Realm.

The news sparked waves across the community.

When the surfing netizens saw this paper and the ecological information of Calyrex in the Pokedex, everyone exploded.

Netizens from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Unova expressed their admiration for Calyrex, exclaiming it’s truly magnificent!

As a result, Calyrex’s fan base began to grow rapidly.

Meanwhile, netizens in the Galar Region noticed one thing.

The Pokedex stated Calyrex was once their Galar Region’s king!

What is going on?!

The trainers and ordinary people of the Galar Region quickly erupted.

And when they clearly saw the details in the paper, they immediately understood everything.

[Yamper: Are all these details in the paper true?]

[Eevee Fan: I think there’s no way it can be false, right? After all, that person is the legendary Professor Oak!]
