Not Being a Trainer This Time

Speaking of hidden bosses in Pokemon games, we have to mention the hidden boss from HeartGold and SoulSilver, Red.

In the game, after collecting all the badges and challenging the Champion, players can go to the top of Mt. Silver to challenge this trainer with a legendary life.

He started his journey at the age of ten and became a Champion in less than a year, single-handedly facing Team Rocket and defeating their boss, Giovanni.

Afterwards, Red resigned from his role as Champion of the League, and went alone to the vast Mt. Silver to train Pokemon, disappearing from the public eye until players in the game reached the top of Mt. Silver to meet him.

Naoki remembers, at that time all six of Red’s Pokemon had surpassed level 80, with his strongest, Pikachu, reaching level 88, just 12 levels short of the max level.

Such a powerful trainer was truly a hidden boss in the game back then.

Thinking of this, Naoki turned to look at Koraidon sleeping at the foot of the bed, and thought of Pawmo and Dragonite.

If calculated based on the game’s levels, what level would his Pokemon be?

Calling him a hidden boss or something, that sounds too exaggerated.

But thinking of those ”mutated” Pokemon on the ranch, Naoki suddenly felt it might not be so exaggerated after all.

”...”

Well, he barely counts as half, I guess!

Just then, a message came through from Raifort on the screen.

[Raifort: Did you see it? You’re really famous at our academy, I’ve heard trainers are planning to team up and challenge you!]

[Naoki: ...]

Is this like teaming up to fight a boss in an online game?

[Naoki: By the way, is there any progress in your research?]

[Raifort: So far, everything’s going smoothly. I’ve found how to break the seals and pinpointed the approximate locations. However, there might be some discrepancies due to an earthquake or other reasons. But I believe it’ll be done soon!]

[Raifort: At that time, I’ll need your help again.]

[Naoki: Okay.]

Even if he can’t capture Chi-Yu or Ting-Lu, just going to see them and taking some photos would be great.

After ending the communication with Raifort, Naoki casually logged into the Pokemon Forum and discovered that Giratina’s fan count had exceeded six digits, reaching a hundred thousand.

In this world, Legendary Pokemon are already extremely rare, and they’re often symbols of immense power.

In cities, on fields, many people are in pursuit of their tracks, but except for a few lucky ones, most chase their whole lives and never see even one, passing on with regrets.

And as a Legendary Pokemon that can use a Rotom Phone and go online, Giratina appearing at this time easily attracts attention.

It’s clear that these netizens have a strong curiosity about Legendary Pokemon.

It’s just... Giratina’s popularity is really too exaggerated!

Seeing that number exceed 150,000, Naoki was very envious.

While his Calyrex cultural promotion account only had over two hundred followers.

If only Giratina’s followers could come to Calyrex!

No, I can’t just waste Giratina’s popularity like this!

So, early the next morning, Naoki found Calyrex, who was playing on the phone, to help it register an account on the Pokemon Forum.

Then, Naoki had Phone Rotom take a few pictures of Calyrex having afternoon tea in the garden, and uploaded them to the forum.

Facing Naoki’s actions, Calyrex was a bit puzzled: ”This is...?”

Naoki gave a mysterious smile: ”You’ll know soon enough.”

Saying this, he turned and went to the Reversed World, finding Giratina surfing, and asked for its help in sharing Calyrex’s post.

Giratina knew Calyrex because that Pokemon had once come to the Reversed World with Naoki to help plant flowers.

”Rotom, help Calyrex to share it!” Giratina commanded in a rough voice.

”Got it, Roto!”

Phone Rotom shivered slightly and quickly handled Giratina’s account to share Calyrex’s post.

Before confirming to send, Rotom asked: ”What content should be added, Roto?”

Giratina looked at Naoki.

Naoki thought carefully and said, ”Just put [Hello everyone, this is my friend, Calyrex].”

”Alright, Roto!”

In the next second, the post was successfully shared.

Giratina on the side was a bit puzzled: ”When did I become friends with Calyrex?”

”Whenever you want, it can happen.” Saying this, Naoki opened Poke Communications, selected Giratina and Calyrex, and created a group chat.

[The greatest Giratina in the world has joined the group chat!]

[The Farmer has joined the group chat!]

”That’s fine, now you can talk directly in the group whenever there’s something!” Naoki said with a smile: ”Calyrex, like you, is also a Legendary Pokemon, but its ability is to enrich the earth, I think you’ve already seen it.”

Giratina recalled the past, nodding its big head.

Naoki continued: ”And, Calyrex’s power is limitless, the more people know about it, the more power it will bring.

At that time, maybe it could directly change the natural environment of the destroyed world, making every Sky Island lush with greenery and life.”

Hearing this, Giratina’s eyes widened in shock: ”It can do that kind of thing?”
