Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 445: Chapter 269: Sky Island Development

”Eating a Pecha Berry causes poisoning... has the effect been reversed?”

Naoki plucked a soft pink, juicy Pecha Berry from the branch.

When you bring it close, you can smell the sweet peach scent wafting from the Pecha Berry.

However, it’s a shame that this Berry is poisonous. Poison Type Pokemon might like it, but unfortunately, there aren’t any Poison Type Pokemon on the farm right now.

Since his purpose for this trip was achieved, Naoki decided to return to the farm first, intending to go to town and buy a batch of flower seeds and seedlings for planting.

So, he turned to say goodbye to Giratina: ”It seems you can grow things in this realm of yours, but I didn’t bring many seeds this time, so I need to make a trip back to the farm first.”

Giratina quietly stared at him. After a moment, the temperamental Dragon of Destruction nodded, letting out a roar that was hard to interpret.

A flash of eerie purple light appeared, and the portal to the real world opened.

Naoki mounted Koraidon and, along with Diglett and Calyrex, left the place.

Once back at the farm, he immediately rode Koraidon to Porto Marinada Town to purchase a batch of grass seeds, flower seeds, and Berry Seedlings from the Elo Seed Store.

Seeing Naoki buy so many things at once, Elo was quite surprised:

”Isn’t it the wrong season to plant these things in the field? It’s going to snow in a few days, and these seedlings might freeze to death!”

Naoki chuckled and shook his head: ”Don’t worry. I know. I’m planning to plant these seedlings in a warmer place where they definitely won’t freeze to death.”

A warmer place? Elo suddenly remembered that some farms build greenhouses, where things can be planted year-round.

”Alright then!” Elo smiled, and then he thought of some new crops he had just gotten in, and asked, ”We just got a batch of tea saplings in the store, perfect for planting in a greenhouse!”

”Tea saplings?” Naoki was a bit surprised.

Elo nodded: ”That’s right! Once the tea saplings grow, you can harvest the leaves and brew fragrant green tea!”

Naoki thought about it for a moment and agreed that they would be good for planting in the Reversed World, and said: ”Sure, let me have twenty of them to try planting.”

”Got it!”

Elo grinned, and after moving all the tea saplings over, he asked:

”By the way, we also received a batch of local specialty apple trees from Kitakami; Kitakami’s apples are famous for being big and round. Would you like a few of them as well? Plant them on your farm, and you might even attract some Applin Pokemon!”

Apple trees?

Seeing he was buying so many items anyway, Naoki decided to purchase a batch of apple trees as well.

Since he bought so much, the store offered delivery service, so Naoki wasn’t worried about whether he and Koraidon could carry everything.

But before leaving, he couldn’t help asking about Kitakami: ”Are the apples from Kitakami really that famous?”

Before he crossed over, the news about Kitakami hadn’t been announced yet, and Naoki knew nothing about it.

Hearing this, Elo nodded with a laugh: ”Yes! The apples there are well-known throughout all of Paldea! The people of Kitakami work at sunrise and rest at sunset, living by planting rice, making it a very simple and pastoral town.”

”Is that so...” Naoki became interested in Kitakami, and perhaps after the farm matters were settled, he could visit with a few Pokemon for an agricultural exchange.

Once everything was purchased, Naoki rode Koraidon back to the farm.

Not long after, Elo sent someone to deliver all the seeds he had bought from the store.

Naoki stood by the lake, and as the purple glow shimmered, the entrance to the Reversed World was automatically opened by Giratina.

Naoki tossed the seeds and seedlings in one by one before jumping in with Diglett and Calyrex.

Giratina was already waiting there early.

It looked at Naoki without the previous temper and rage, or staring dangerously.

This legendary Dark King Dragon simply watched Naoki silently, observing the things he brought from outside.

To be precise, it was looking to see if there was anything that could change its disposition.

There wasn’t that kind of thing, and it didn’t even know how to communicate with this human.

However, after looking for a long time, Giratina still couldn’t find the target.

It couldn’t help but wonder why this human wasn’t using that ability on it.

Seeing that Naoki really hadn’t brought that stuff, Giratina pondered for two seconds and thought that the food it ate should still be effective, so it decided to continue pretending that the food hadn’t expired yet, smiling a terrifying smile that made its already menacing face even more sinister.

Naoki noticed this scene, and a question mark popped up above his head.

Giratina: ”With these things, can we make this place the same as the outside?”

”That’s right.” Naoki nodded, looking up at the floating Sky Islands in the void, and continued: ”It’s just that the land in this world is scattered, so I have to plant on each island slowly.”
