Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 421: Chapter 260: Your Teapot Grew Legs and Ran Away! (Double-Length)

Naoki: ”...”

The Galar people seeing him and Calyrex off, why does it feel so strange?

After a moment of silence, Naoki gently nodded, as a sign of acceptance, then turned and left Wyndon Stadium with Koraidon and Calyrex.

He would definitely take good care of Calyrex.

Inside the contestant hall, Leon looked at the figure on the screen, feeling quite lost inside.

”What a pity.”

Thinking of the place he mentioned, Leon quickly recovered.

”Paldea Region, huh?”

With people of such skill, they must be exceptional in that place too.

Maybe they even work as a Champion-level Trainer for the Paldea League.

It’s decided! Once he has time, he’ll head to the Paldea Region to find him for a match!

An hour later, at the Corviknight Taxi Headquarters.

Mike looked at the young man in front of him, feeling quite reluctant: ”Really not staying?”

Naoki smiled and shook his head: ”No, there are people back home waiting for me.”

Mike felt a pang of heartache.

Such talent... why isn’t he a relative of mine?

Despite the heartache, this straightforward, hot-tempered uncle still handed over the promised reward to Naoki in the end.

A large bag full of Corviknight Feathers was placed on the ground just like that.

”These feathers fell off Corviknight naturally. I don’t know what you need them for, but here you go!”

Saying that, Mike took out two items from the office.

The item on the left looked like a broken teacup, with strange patterns resembling eyes and mouths.

The teacup was filled with purple liquid, almost like slime, and upon closer inspection, the liquid was slightly moving.

This is Sinistea.

The item on the right looked very much like a teapot, with colors similar to the teacup, making it clear they were from the same set.

Parts of the teapot’s rim showed cracks and gaps, which were blocked by the purple liquid inside the teacup.

This is Polteageist.

Mike walked over holding a tray.

To the naked eye, Sinistea and Polteageist looked like an ordinary tea set.

But as Naoki focused all his attention on Sinistea, the teapot lid of Polteageist was suddenly lifted by a small purple creature using its head.

Naoki was slightly startled, turned his head, and locked eyes with the purple creature.

It was a small figure like slime, with eyes resembling patterns on coffee. At this moment, it was lifting the teapot lid, holding onto the rim with two small hands, cautiously observing the situation outside.

When it saw Naoki, it seemed startled and quickly retracted like a hermit crab on the beach.

Naoki: ”...”

Mike also noticed this scene and burst into laughter: ”These Ghost Type Pokemon are naturally timid and afraid. After taking them home, just leave them on the tea table. They’ll get used to the environment in a few days.”

Then he introduced them one by one:

”The cup on the left is Sinistea. Although the patterns on the cup look like eyes, the liquid inside is its real body, and even the handle is part of its body disguised!”

This was Naoki’s first time seeing a Sinistea in reality. Looking at the purple handle, he couldn’t help but ask, ”Can I touch it?”

Mike nodded: ”Of course you can, but don’t even think about drinking it like tea! If it’s unfamiliar with you, it might take the chance to invade your body and drain your spiritual energy from the inside!”

”What if it’s familiar with me?” Naoki asked again.

”Even if you’re familiar with it, you still shouldn’t drink it,” Mike shook his head. ”Sinistea tastes terrible, and even people who aren’t picky eaters would vomit it out right away after tasting it.”

”So, most collectors keep it as a precious collectible. Real Sinistea holds incredible value among those who understand its worth!”

Naoki roughly understood.

You can’t drink Sinistea, but you can keep it at home as decorative tea ware.

Then, he looked over at Polteageist on the side: ”If I’m not mistaken, Polteageist is drinkable, right?”

”That’s right!” Mike continued: ”Polteageist’s red tea has a unique flavor and aroma. It has a special taste and fragrance, although drinking too much can cause stomach discomfort, some adventurous food enthusiasts still drink Polteageist daily.”

Saying this, Mike looked disgusted: ”I can’t drink it; the tea inside feels like Polteageist’s bathwater.”

Naoki: ”...”

Well, that’s a bit exaggerated, isn’t it?

”Do you drink the Berry Juice that Shuckle brews in its body?” Naoki couldn’t help but ask.

Mike looked even more disgusted: ”No way! That jar is full of Shuckle’s sweat and slime! Who knows what other gross things might be in there!”

Naoki felt slightly nauseated by his words and quickly said, ”Alright, alright, let’s change the subject!”

Mike’s expression softened a bit before continuing the introduction: ”There’s one more thing to note; Polteageist can control the taste of its tea!”

”If you’re on good terms with it and it trusts you, it might let you taste the red tea. But if you’re on bad terms and try to force a taste, it’ll inject its ghostly power into the tea before you drink it.”
