Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 434: Chapter 265: Seizing Every Minute

Following Calyrex’s gaze, in a vast grassy plain, a tender seedling stood between heaven and earth.

It didn’t lose its color due to the cold winter, nor did it break under strong winds and heavy rain.

[World Tree Seedling: A seedling that has absorbed a significant amount of the Power of Grass. Due to Gogoat, it underwent a mutation during growth, nurturing a vast Life Force, and finally broke through the soil. It will take another 99995.5 years to reach maturity.]

”That’s the World Tree,” Naoki replied.

”World Tree?” Calyrex was slightly startled and then slowly shook its head, ”I have never heard of such a thing.”

The two walked forward, coming to the seedling.

Seeing Naoki, the three Gogoat taking care of the World Tree seedling using Grassy Terrain raised their heads.

”Baa ah~” (The tree is growing well~) one of the Gogoat said happily.

”Thank you for your hard work!” Naoki reached out and patted its head, then began to tell Calyrex about the World Tree.

”As far as I know, somewhere in this world, there exists a matured World Tree, to be precise, it’s called the Tree of Beginning.”

Located in the Kanto Region, the story of Sir Aaron and Lucario happened on that tree.

”Tree of Beginning...” Calyrex murmured the name.

Naoki nodded, ”It is said that the tree existed at the dawn of the world, living in symbiosis with a Mew. The tree is home to many ancient Pokemon and is guarded by a legendary giant Pokemon.”

”As for the origin of this tree... well, it’s complicated.” Naoki fell into thought, considering how to explain the origin of the World Tree seedling to Calyrex.

Calyrex gazed at the seedling with eyes filled with majesty and compassion.

Unable to resist its curiosity, it used Future Sight on the seedling.

The next moment, a blue aura enveloped its eyes.

Through the distant time and space, Calyrex saw visions of the future.

By then, the seedling had grown into an enormous tree, larger than a pasture.

The place seemed unable to contain its presence anymore.

With a rumbling of the earth, the tree rose into the sky with a piece of land, and upon reaching a certain height, it mysteriously floated there.

In the hazy aura, Calyrex saw many Pokemon attracted by this World Tree.

A mysterious bird Pokemon with fiery gold and red feathers, so vibrant and splendid that under the sunlight, they radiated like a rainbow. Wherever it flew, a beautiful rainbow appeared.

A mysterious dragon-type Pokemon with a pitch-black, gigantic body, exuding an overwhelming aura that swept across the sky like a dragon, then coiled at the top of the World Tree.

And a humanoid Pokemon with strong spiritual power, a large tail behind it. It turned to look around, and then Calyrex saw a pink cat-like Pokemon and a little flying bear chasing each other as they flew past the humanoid Pokemon.

The blue aura gradually faded, and the duration of Future Sight ended, preventing Calyrex from seeing more.

At this time, Naoki had thought about how to explain the origin of this tree to Calyrex.

To understand this matter, one must first learn about the effect of the dessert he made, the Green Grass Cake.

Naoki organized his words in his heart, then slowly began to speak:

”In the past, I once used my ability to make a cake, which had a magical effect.”

”That is, when eaten by Grass Type Pokemon, it could cause a certain probability of inducing some magical changes when they used their Grass Energy to cultivate plants.”

”Green Grass Cake?” Calyrex thought of the previous Grassy Seed, ”Is it also a food made using grass?”

”That’s right,” Naoki nodded, ”I’ll make one for you to taste in the afternoon.”

”I look forward to it,” Calyrex said with a gentle smile.

Naoki continued, ”This World Tree was originally three ordinary Miracle Seeds. Do you know what Miracle Seeds are?”

Calyrex had not heard of it.

Naoki explained, ”They are seeds that contain magical power. When held by a Pokemon, they enhance the power of Grass Type Moves.”

Calyrex, being a very wise Pokemon, combined with these words, quickly understood what happened next.

Calyrex turned its gaze to the three Gogoat, ”Then, those three seeds were planted in the soil, and the Gogoat, after eating the cake, used Grass Energy to nurture them, causing the seeds to break through the soil and become the World Tree.”

”Am I right?” Calyrex asked with a smile.

”Exactly!” Naoki nodded, internally awed.

Worthy of once being a King, ruling an entire region! Calyrex could foresee future disasters and quickly come up with perfect response strategies, with wisdom and foresight that surpassed ordinary human kings by far!

”I now know the origin of this tree, but I can sense that it is still in its infancy and will need a long time to mature,” Calyrex added.
