Chapter 412: Chapter 256: Heroic Royal Court, Wyndon City

Deep in the Slumbering Weald, the Heroic Royal Court.

The broken archway is covered with moss, and below it stands an ancient stone tablet, the engraved characters long eroded by time, becoming blurred.

In front of the stone tablet are two rusted, broken weapons—one is a sword, the other a shield.

Moonlight streams through the forest gaps, gently illuminating the sword and shield.

This is the dwelling of Zacian and Zamazenta.

In the distant past, after driving away the Darkest Day, they came here to live in seclusion.

Naoki and Calyrex stand before the court, gazing at the sword and shield bathed in ethereal moonlight.

Zacian and Zamazenta follow on either side of Calyrex, looking at their weapons, and solemnly say:

”Woof.” (During the battle against disaster, our weapons were damaged by its power. After everything was over, we came here with our weapons and placed them in this court.)

Naoki listens in silence.

He turns his head to glance at Zacian beside him; both Zacian and Zamazenta are still in their Hundred Battle Heroes form.

Without the sword and shield, they naturally cannot transform into the King of Swords and King of the Shield.

”Woof?” (King, when do you plan to leave?) Zamazenta inquires.

Calyrex shifts its gaze from the decayed sword and shield and replies: ”Once Naoki has finished his business, we will depart from this place.”

Naoki?

Zacian and Zamazenta blink in slight surprise, then realize this must be the human’s name.

They look on, puzzled, wondering why the King would suddenly choose to follow an ordinary human.

Zamazenta calmly looks at the unfamiliar Pokemon beside Naoki.

... No, perhaps not an ordinary human.

It can sense a deliberately concealed pressure from that Pokemon.

With just one glance, Zamazenta determines that this is a Pokemon whose strength rivals its own and its sister’s, even far exceeding theirs.

Though unsure why the King would choose this human, Zacian still asks: ”Woof?” (King, will we be able to see you again in the future?)

Calyrex does not give a clear answer: ”Once your mission is completed, if by then you still wish to see me, then follow the traces I leave to another land to seek me!”

Hearing this, Zacian and Zamazenta feel happy in their hearts: ”Woof!” (We understand!)

Watching Zacian and Zamazenta bow and salute Calyrex, Naoki suddenly has a thought.

These two Pokemon... seem like they can’t swim, right?

They can’t fly like Groudon either, so how will they cross such a vast ocean?

Hmm, that’s a problem.

The sky has darkened, and to allow Zacian and Zamazenta more time with Calyrex, Naoki decides to set up camp on the spot, pitching a tent and lighting a bonfire.

Koraidon and Cyclizar also help out on the side.

Spectrier and Glastrier snort on the grassland to the right of the court.

Meanwhile, Zacian and Zamazenta lie by the fire like two large dogs, resting their heads on their front paws, calmly watching the flickering flames.

Watching this scene, Naoki feels a stir in his heart.

What cute big dogs.

It’s a pity they can’t be captured; if they could be...

The Galarian Legendary Pokemon finding re-employment in the Paldea Region, with Calyrex becoming a farmer, and Zacian and Zamazenta taking on roles as sheepdogs and guard dogs.

Truly perfect!

However, capturing them is impossible, as Zarude and Zacian still bear the mission of repelling Eternatus.

Naoki laments not bringing a camera.

If he had a camera, he could have taken pictures of these two Legendary Pokemon to keep as souvenirs.

Naoki shifts his attention away from them and speaks to Calyrex by the campfire:

”Tomorrow morning, we will set off for the next place, and after completing things, we can return to the Paldea Region.”

Calyrex has no objections and nods slightly: ”Yes.”

Early the next morning, Naoki packs up, restores everything to its original state, and prepares to set off with his Pokemon.

Zacian and Zamazenta say their farewells to them in the morning light, watching the King of Galar leave.

Calyrex nods to the two Pokemon and then turns to leave the Slumbering Weald with Naoki.

As they arrive in Postwick Town, Naoki sees several young boys and girls playing on the street.

He stops and watches for a while.

Calyrex turns around and follows his gaze, inquiring puzzledly: ”What’s the matter?”

”Nothing.” Naoki shakes his head and sighs: ”Just feels quite amazing...”

At this age, Yū and Hop are probably just like them, possibly still bedwetting and crying.

Who would’ve thought that in a few years, they would become the heroes who save the Galar Region?

”Let’s go!”

They trace back the way to Wedgehurst Town, boarding the steam train to Wyndon City.

There is the headquarters of the Galar Flying Taxi fleet, where they can certainly get Corviknight feathers.

One or two feathers are not enough; as Tinkatink evolves, its strength will grow, so the previously made hammer won’t suffice, and it will start crafting a new hammer.

Tinkatink’s evolution has three stages, consuming quite a bit of metal during this time.

Besides that, there are also the hammers of Pawmo.

So this time, Naoki plans to gather everything in one go, saving a future trip.

Trains in the Galar Region are very fast, and about eight hours later, they arrive in Wyndon City.

As they step out of the station, Naoki and Calyrex are amazed by the sight before them.

As the largest city in the Galar Region, Wyndon City’s scale seems even bigger than Levincia City!

Within the city, skyscrapers stand tall, two monorail tracks encircle the city, with various modern facilities in between.

The majestic Wyndon Stadium resembles a giant pink rose, elegant Gothic-Victorian style luxury hotels, a high-tech, modern tower, and a vast central park.

At the center of the park stands a giant pitch-black Corviknight statue, its steel wings spread wide, glistening in the sunlight, giving off an awe-inspiring aura.

Occasionally, flocks of Corvisquire can be seen flying across the sky.

On the streets, office workers carrying briefcases and wearing suits, leading their Yampers, and fashionably dressed high-society women can be seen everywhere.

Naoki: As expected of the metropolis crafted by Chairman Rose!

Beside him, Calyrex looks up at the shimmering silver towers in the sunlight, softly murmuring:

”To think that humans can create such spectacular things, it truly amazes me!”
