Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 439: Chapter 266: Flash, Stable, Afternoon Tea (5k)_3

Seeing that Calyrex had woken up, Naoki said, ”I didn’t want to disturb you while you were sleeping, so I prepared food just for you.”

Calyrex smiled and said, ”Crown!”

Naoki: ”...”

Oh dear, he couldn’t understand what Calyrex was saying again.

It’s not great to keep snacking on seeds forever. If only Calyrex could use Telepathy!

Unfortunately, it couldn’t.

Naoki took a deep breath, and suddenly thought of Calyrex’s type.

It’s well-known that Calyrex is a Grass + Psychic Type Pokemon.

And the ability of Telepathy is something even some Normal Psychic Pokemon can master.

So the question is, can Calyrex learn Telepathy?

With that thought, Naoki immediately looked at Calyrex.

Seeing the little follower looking at him, Calyrex’s face showed a puzzled expression.

Naoki: ”Calyrex, have you heard of the ability called Telepathy?”

Telepathy? Calyrex looked confused, shaking its head to indicate it hadn’t heard of it.

”It means communicating heart-to-heart without talking directly or needing someone else as a mouthpiece.”

Recalling the Pokemon in anime that can use Telepathy, Naoki speculated on its principles:

”Essentially, it’s using Psychic abilities to transmit your thoughts into another’s brain, and then using Psychic power to sense their thoughts, enabling conversation without speaking.”

Psychic is indeed a magical ability.

If anyone masters this ability well, it would be Mewtwo.

In anime, it used Psychic powers to delve into human brains to explore memories, implant false memories, and even erase parts of human memories.

Upon hearing this, Calyrex fell into deep thought.

It opened its mouth, as if to say something, but then closed it again.

Heart-to-heart communication?

Until now, Calyrex had never tried this method, nor heard of using it to communicate with humans.

Previously, when needing to talk with humans, it would often communicate its intentions through their bodies.

But now...

Calyrex closed its eyes, carefully sensing, gradually exploring the method Naoki described.

It harnessed its Psychic powers, incorporating its thoughts, and transmitted them into Naoki’s mind.

The next moment, Naoki heard Calyrex’s voice in his heart—

”Is it like this?”

Naoki’s eyes lit up, he nodded quickly: ”That’s right!”

Calyrex, truly a wise Pokemon, learned it right away!

”I comprehend now... Incredible... I never imagined communicating with humans in such a way! Now I understand!” Calyrex expressed through Telepathy.

Seeing Calyrex had learned Telepathy, Naoki felt relieved.

His inflamed mouth finally could get some rest.

Then, Naoki started to talk business: ”I just hired people from the town to build stables for Spectrier and Glastrier at the ranch, give them a place to live, check later if it’s suitable.”

”Okay.” Calyrex nodded slightly, lovingly looking at its two cherished horses, and said gently: ”My beloved horses, having lived upon the cold snowy plains, find this place more habitable. I can sense they quite like your ranch.”

With these words, Naoki looked at Spectrier and Glastrier.

At this stage, his relationship with Glastrier was significantly better.

This is because Glastrier loves the Iceroot Carrot he grows and was indifferent to being ridden by him.

As for Spectrier...

Naoki raised his head to see Spectrier staring deeply at him.

Their gazes locked for a moment, Naoki smiled amicably and said: ”Almost forgot, I’m baking Green Grass Cake at home! I’ll go get it, you can wait for me in the Glass Greenhouse!”

Calyrex nodded kindly.

Naoki turned back to the house, retrieving the baked Green Grass Cake from the oven. Looking down, the cake’s details surfaced in his mind.

[Green Grass Cake (A): A cake made with ripe summer grasses, flour, MooMoo Fresh Milk, and Alcremie’s cream.

Cooking Effect: Flower Trick, having a small chance to cause slight mutations in crops tended with Grass Type Energy by Grass Type Pokemon.

Evaluation: Perfectly blends flavors of different ingredients, greatly appreciated by Grass Type Pokemon, who may thank you with surprises after eating it.]

Naoki carried the cake, taking along the tea and utensils to the Glass Greenhouse, surprised to find Sinistea and Polteageist followed him inside.

Upon opening the door, Calyrex was already seated at the ironwork tea table.

Naoki placed the Green Grass Cake on the table, preparing to brew two cups of tea, when Sinistea and Polteageist floated to the tea table.

Curious, Naoki asked: ”You want some too?”

”Polt!”

Polteageist shook its head, the little figure inside the pot smiling happily, loving this place and feeling bliss from the tea Naoki brewed.

Hence, it wanted to share its carefully blended tea with Calyrex and Naoki!

Polteageist circled the teacups on the table.

Soon, a clear, fragrant purple tea was poured into the cups.

When the cups were full, Polteageist stopped and joyfully spun among the flowers, inviting with delight: ”Polt!”

Seeing this, Calyrex hesitated briefly but soon understood.

It explained to Naoki: ”This child is inviting us to taste its tea.”

Naoki was equally surprised.

Because he knew well what the sharing of tea from Polteageist meant.

Every tea enthusiast knows that Polteageist’s tea possesses a unique taste and aroma, exceptionally rare and precious.

Generally, Polteageist wouldn’t share its tea liquid with others.

If one attempts to drink it forcefully, Polteageist would angrily spray its tea-like body into their mouth.

This tea, filled with negative emotions, would make any human shiver with cold.

But now, Polteageist was genuinely inviting them to savor the tea.

This meant that this Polteageist had begun to trust him and Calyrex!
