Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

However, before Zhao Rong could reveal his secret to the assistant, he suddenly heard someone speaking.

”Even if you use the Soul Umbrella to capture my soul, you still can’t do anything to me! Sooner or later, I will break free from this Soul Umbrella, return to the real world, possess a human body, and become a great hero! I’ll make you all submit to me...”

Upon hearing this unexpected voice, Zhao Rong and his four companions immediately began searching for its source.

The assistant judged the direction of the sound and asked, ”Hey, who’s talking? Why can I only hear a voice but not see anyone?”

Lili speculated, ”Could it be that after we subdued Zhou Xiaoer, Hong Ju also became a soul? Maybe she snuck over here and is talking from nearby to deliberately scare us...”

Yu Lan’s eyes widened as she scanned the area for the speaker. ”Who is speaking? Come out this instant! Stop hiding in the dark. If you have any guts, show yourself, and we’ll settle this!”

While everyone was searching for the speaker, Xuelian shook the Soul Umbrella in her hand. ”Stop guessing,” she told them. ”I’ll tell you who’s talking. It’s the soul of Zhou Xiaoer inside my umbrella. He’s the one speaking.”

At that moment, Zhou Xiaoer, captured inside the umbrella, continued his taunts. ”Although you’ve captured my soul, you still can’t do anything to me. Trying to deal with me is hopeless! Torturing me? Even more impossible! And you have no way to beat me, either...”

With that, Zhou Xiaoer erupted into loud laughter.

Hearing his words, Zhao Rong and his companions were furious. The assistant stepped forward, glared at the Soul Umbrella in Xuelian’s hand, and said angrily, ”If we had known he’d be this arrogant, we would have beaten him to a pulp *before* capturing him in this Soul Umbrella!”

Yu Lan was even more infuriated. ”This guy! We already subdued him, yet he’s still so arrogant, mocking us from inside the Soul Umbrella! We should find a way to let him out right now, beat him senseless, and show him what we’re made of!”

Lili came up with an idea. ”Everyone, let’s search online and find a way to make a soul suffer! This Zhou Xiaoer is way too arrogant; he’s not taking us seriously at all!”

As they spoke, the assistant and the two women turned their gazes to Zhao Rong, hoping he could devise a plan to deal with Zhou Xiaoer inside the Soul Umbrella.

In contrast to their tension and anger, Zhao Rong was smiling calmly. ”Dealing with this Zhou Xiaoer is incredibly easy,” he said. ”It takes the one who created the problem to solve it. Since Lady Xuelian was able to capture him with the Soul Umbrella, she must have a way to make him suffer immensely—perhaps even wish for death.”

With that, Zhao Rong turned to Xuelian. ”Lady Xuelian, use one of your tricks. Make this little wretch suffer a bit and teach him a lesson. Let everyone get some payback.”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s words, Xuelian immediately pressed a red button on the handle of the Soul Umbrella. ”Making Zhou Xiaoer suffer is all too simple,” she announced. ”As soon as I press this red button, his soul will dissolve into pus inside the umbrella.”

When the assistant and the two women heard that pressing the button would turn Zhou Xiaoer’s soul into pus, they were ecstatic. ”I never expected the Soul Umbrella to have such a brutal function!”

The assistant, eagerly awaiting the outcome, urged her on. ”Lady Xuelian, hurry up and press the button! Turn his soul into pus! I want to see if he still dares to be so arrogant then!”

Lili, standing nearby, spoke towards the umbrella. ”Zhou Xiaoer, don’t be so smug. Since we were able to capture your soul in this Soul Umbrella, we have ways of dealing with you.”

Yu Lan mocked Zhou Xiaoer through the umbrella’s fabric. ”You could have stayed comfortably inside this Soul Umbrella for a thousand years, Zhou Xiaoer. We weren’t planning on doing anything to you just yet, but you just had to provoke us... Fine! Now we’ll make you suffer. Are you happy now?”

As she spoke, Yu Lan let out a deliberate, derisive laugh to make Zhou Xiaoer miserable.

When Zhou Xiaoer heard that Xuelian could turn his soul into pus just by pressing a button, he cried out in terror, ”Lady Xuelian, I’m begging you! I really don’t want to die! Please, don’t press the button! Don’t turn my soul into pus!”

But before Zhou Xiaoer could finish his plea, Xuelian decisively pressed the red button on the Soul Umbrella.

The moment she did, two sharp beeps sounded. BEEP! BEEP! The inside of the Soul Umbrella began to rapidly expand, emitting a series of CRACKS and POPS.

When the group heard the sounds coming from within the Soul Umbrella, they cheered joyfully. ”Your time is up, Zhou Xiaoer! Just wait to become a puddle of pus inside that umbrella and disappear from this world forever!”

The assistant said excitedly, ”I knew we would eventually catch the big boss, Zhou Xiaoer, but I never imagined we’d end his life in such a miraculous way!”

Lili smiled. ”First, we finish off this villain, Zhou Xiaoer, and then we’ll take care of that other villain, Hong Ju. That way, we can complete our mission perfectly and go report our success to the Chairman!”

Yu Lan, also looking forward to completing their task, said, ”This is wonderful! After all this hard work and traveling so far, we’re finally about to finish our mission. I’m so happy!”

At that moment, Xuelian, still holding the Soul Umbrella, gave it a little shake. Listening to the sound from within, she asked everyone, ”Did you all hear that? The sound of sloshing liquid inside the Soul Umbrella?”

The assistant perked up his ears and nodded. ”I heard it, Lady Xuelian, I really did! There’s a sound of liquid sloshing inside! Does that mean Zhou Xiaoer’s soul has already turned into pus?”

Even Zhao Rong asked anxiously, ”Lady Xuelian, your Soul Umbrella is incredible! To think it could dissolve that stubborn old fool’s soul into pus in such a short time... It’s beyond anything I could have imagined!”

Lili stepped forward, taking the umbrella from Xuelian’s hands. ”I’ll bet the pus that used to be Zhou Xiaoer’s soul is incredibly foul and sour,” she said, picturing it. ”The smell alone would be enough to make anyone vomit.”

Yu Lan added with disgust, ”Xuelian, you’d better pour that pus down a nearby sewer. We can’t have it stinking up the whole world.”
