Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Facing his assistant’s question, Zhao Rong said with a smile, ”Assistant, have you heard of the ancient Greek philosopher Archimedes?”

Hearing the name, the assistant laughed. ”Of course! Isn’t he that old man from Ancient Greece who loved to let his imagination run wild?”

While prying with the rod, Zhao Rong said to his assistant, ”Archimedes once said, ’Give me a lever, and I will move the Earth.’ So now, if you give me a lever, I can move this boulder.”

As he spoke, Zhao Rong applied the principles of mechanics and gently pressed down on the lever. The moment he did, the massive boulder weighing dozens of tons was instantly pried loose.

When the assistant saw Zhao Rong lift the boulder using only his own strength and the principle of the lever, she was stunned speechless. ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, you’re incredible!” she said, unable to believe her eyes. ”I never would have dreamed you could pry open this boulder using the so-called lever principle. To even think of the ancient Greek philosopher Archimedes...”

The old turtle, also completely amazed, scrambled up from the ground. Staring at Zhao Rong as he moved the boulder, it said reflectively, ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, when you first told me to lie on the ground, I thought you were worried that my old age was catching up with me and were letting me rest for a bit. I never imagined you intended to use me as a fulcrum! As a part of your lever, I helped you achieve the great feat of moving something far heavier than myself. As an old turtle, I must say, I truly admire you humans. You’re so clever.”

After prying the boulder open, Zhao Rong tossed his long pants aside. He started walking toward the black hole, saying to the assistant and the old turtle, ”Honestly, I was just going to test if it was even possible to move this boulder. I never expected it to actually work. I guess this goes to show that you should always give things a try before deciding they’re impossible.”

With that, Zhao Rong reached the edge of the black hole. He stared at it, overwhelmed with amazement. It was a vacuum inside; the water outside couldn’t flow in, and the air inside couldn’t escape. Furthermore, the powerful gravitational pull they had been worried about wasn’t present.

Gazing at the black hole, he yearned for the world beyond. ”If entering this black hole means we can reach the outside world,” he said, ”that would be the most wonderful thing imaginable.”

The assistant rushed over, her excitement palpable as she imagined the beauty of life outside. ”In the past, when I lived in the outside world, I never cherished it. I took everything for granted. But now, after spending time inside this murderous storm, I’ve realized how truly wonderful the outside world is. If I can get out, I will cherish every part of it from now on—life outside, everything outside. I’ll treat everyone well and be a good person.”

The old turtle eagerly hurried closer, ready to make the leap. ”It’s been 800 years since I was separated from my mother and swept into this murderous storm. 800 years... It might not seem long, and yet it isn’t short, either. But when it comes to my longing for my mother, it truly feels like several centuries have passed. Mother, I miss you! Your son can finally come to see you and fulfill his filial duty!”

Looking at the black hole before them, Zhao Rong swallowed hard. He turned to the assistant and the old turtle and said, ”Alright, everyone, prepare yourselves. I’ll count to three, and then we jump.”

With that, Zhao Rong, the assistant, and the old turtle held hands and closed their eyes, waiting for his command.

As he began to count, Zhao Rong thought to himself, This one jump will decide if we live or die. I hope the heavens protect us and let us escape this murderous storm safely to reach the canyon outside. I hope we can find the three beauties and that middle-aged man. Then, we’ll strike at the heart of the problem and capture those villains, Hong Ju and Zhou Xiaoer. We also have to find the gold they stole from the Chairman and Zheng Xiaopeng and bring all those criminals to justice!

After reaching three, Zhao Rong screamed, ”Jump!”

Hearing his command, the three of them leaped into the black hole without a moment’s hesitation, vanishing without a trace.

...

Back in the canyon, when the three beauties saw Zhao Rong and his assistant get swept into the murderous storm, they burst into tears.

Lili was especially heartbroken. Wiping her tears, she sobbed, ”It’s all that shameless assistant’s fault! If she hadn’t been caught in the murderous storm, Big Brother Zhao Rong wouldn’t have gone to save her. And if he hadn’t gone to save her, he wouldn’t have been swept away and killed!”

Yu Lan was also grief-stricken, lamenting, ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, you died so tragically... If you were still alive, the three of us would have married you in a heartbeat. Now we’re afraid we’ll never be able to marry a man as wonderful as you.”

Xuelian climbed down from her camel and walked toward the now-still storm. With tears streaming down her face, she said, her own face pale with grief, ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, I always dreamed that you, like the Supreme Treasure, would ride a seven-colored cloud to come and take me away. But now, I know that dream has been shattered. So, I want to die with you. Wait for me, Big Brother Zhao Rong! I’m rushing into the murderous storm to join you! We can reunite in the afterlife and get married there!”

Just as the three beauties were mourning Zhao Rong, the middle-aged man suddenly burst into wild laughter. After dismounting from his camel, he pointed at the three women and sneered, ”Ladies, no need to cry. Let me tell you the truth. Your Big Brother Zhao Rong was clever all his life but foolish in this one moment. He not only fell for my trap, but he also lost his life for it!”

With that, the middle-aged man laughed maniacally.

Hearing his words, the three women instantly understood everything. It all became clear: although the middle-aged man had supposedly been their guide, he never had good intentions. He had been plotting to harm them all along. He had led them into this canyon, deliberately taking them as close as possible to the murderous storm. Then, he had schemed to put the assistant on the slowest camel, forcing Big Brother Zhao Rong to go and rescue her. In doing so, both Big Brother Zhao Rong and his assistant had perished in the storm.

Realizing the man before them was the true culprit, Lili snatched a cobblestone from the ground and hurled it at him. ”You monster! I’m going to smash you to death!”

Yu Lan grabbed a handful of sand and threw it at the man’s eyes, screaming, ”You wicked man! I’ll blind you with this sand and avenge Big Brother Zhao Rong and the assistant!”

Xuelian pulled out two cans of pepper spray and began spraying them wildly at the man. ”You heinous villain! You’ll pay with your life for what you did to Big Brother Zhao Rong!”

But as the three women attacked the middle-aged man, Zhao Rong, his assistant, and the old turtle had already passed through the black hole. They had emerged from the Murderous Desert and arrived in that very same canyon.
