Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

As Zhao Rong, his assistant, and the Old Turtle opened their eyes, they were met with a world of swirling yellow sand. The sky was blotted out by dust, and gravel skittered across the ground.

They embraced each other excitedly and cheered. ”Finally! We made it out of that deadly storm and back to the real world!”

The assistant, crying with excitement, said, ”I was sure I was going to die when I got swept into that sandstorm. I never imagined I’d make it out alive. Big Brother Zhao Rong, thank you so much! If it weren’t for you, I would have died in there.”

The Old Turtle also shed tears of excitement, his voice filled with emotion. ”Eight hundred years ago, when my mother and I were separated, I was sure I would never see her again in this lifetime. But I never thought that, after more than eight hundred years, after I’d become a Turtle Hermit, I would actually walk out of that desert storm. I’m so thrilled! Big Brother Zhao Rong, I truly have to thank you. If not for you, I might have spent the rest of my life trapped in that storm.”

Hearing their thanks, Zhao Rong was moved as well. ”It feels so good to be back in the real world. The weather’s terrible, the sandstorm is severe, and the air pollution is off the charts... but just thinking about my family and everything I have to do fills me with excitement.”

After drying her tears, the assistant looked at the desolate scenery in the canyon and thought of the three women they had lost. She then turned to Zhao Rong and asked, ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, we’re back in the real world, but how are we going to find Miss Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian?”

Zhao Rong thought for a moment, then took out his phone and opened the Paradise Shopping Cart. ”Just a moment,” he told her. ”I’m buying a Divine Artifact from the Paradise Shopping Cart that’s guaranteed to find them.”

As he spoke, Zhao Rong began purchasing what he called a ”Beauty Tracker.” While he was busy with his purchase, the Old Turtle, who was fitting a bionic plastic strap around his head, pleaded, ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, since you can find a way to track down the three beauties you lost, could you please help me? Find a way to help me find the mother I haven’t seen in eight hundred years.”

When the assistant heard the Old Turtle ask Zhao Rong for help finding a mother he hadn’t seen in eight centuries, she almost laughed out loud. Barely stifling her amusement, she said, ”Old Turtle, you must be joking. We were only separated from the ladies for a few hours. You’ve been separated from your mother for eight hundred years! How could anyone possibly find her? Entire dynasties have come and gone!”

At the assistant’s words, the Old Turtle suddenly burst into tears. Wiping them away, he recited, ”The tree wishes for quiet, but the wind will not subside. A child wishes to be filial, but their parents are no longer there. If I can’t find my mother in this lifetime, how can I, as a son, ever fulfill my duty?”

Hearing the Old Turtle’s lament, after purchasing the Beauty Tracker, Zhao Rong also bought a Turtle Mother Locator on a whim. When he received the two packages, he immediately handed the smaller one to the Old Turtle. ”Old Turtle, open this package, take out the Turtle Mother Locator, and press the search button. Then, input your fingerprint. That’s how you’ll find your mother.”

Upon hearing that the Divine Artifact inside could help him find his mother, the Old Turtle excitedly tore open the package. Staring at the small gadget inside, he asked, ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, you’re not lying to me, are you? Can this little white gadget really help me find the mother I lost eight hundred years ago?”

Zhao Rong took out the instruction manual and showed it to him. ”Don’t worry. This Divine Artifact can search across a one-thousand-year span. Any species of turtle that got separated within the last millennium can be found with this. Just input your fingerprint, and you’ll be all set.”

Half-convinced, the Old Turtle pressed the button and then pressed his fingerprint onto the Turtle Mother Locator. The device immediately began to work. Within about three minutes, a map appeared on its screen. A red dot on the map clearly marked a turtle, and a voice prompt announced, ”Hello, Old Turtle. Your mother is located at latitude 37.8 degrees north and longitude 29.7 degrees east.”

Hearing such an abstract location, the Old Turtle looked troubled. ”Big Brother, this Turtle Mother Locator found her, but the location it gave is so abstract! How am I supposed to get there? Even if I could, it’s so far away. At my turtle’s pace, it would take me another hundred years to arrive.”

Feeling sympathy for him, Zhao Rong said, ”Fine. In for a penny, in for a pound. I’ll see this through to the end.”

With that, Zhao Rong bought a drone from the Paradise Shopping Cart. Once he had it, he told the Old Turtle, ”Get on this drone and place the Turtle Mother Locator in its cockpit. The drone’s computer will take over and fly you to your mother.”

Moved by his words, the Old Turtle began to cry again. As he climbed onto the drone, he said, ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, I don’t know how I can ever thank you in this lifetime. Being able to see my mother will finally fulfill my heart’s greatest wish. If I die after this, I’ll be able to rest in peace.”

”Alright, you can go now without any worries,” Zhao Rong consoled him. ”I guarantee this drone will get you to your destination.”

The Old Turtle nodded, started the drone, and soared into the sky.

As the assistant watched the Old Turtle fly off to find his mother, she was also moved. ”The most important thing in the world is being filial to one’s parents. I’m truly happy for the Old Turtle. Go for it, Old Turtle! Go find your mother and be a dutiful son.”

Finished speaking, she looked at the other package in Zhao Rong’s hands and asked, ”Big Brother Zhao Rong, hurry up and open that package! Let’s see this so-called Beauty Tracker.”
