Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 545: Chapter 323: Lin Chu: I Admit, I’m a Scumbag

He glanced around. For the moment, no one was paying any attention to him.

Lin Chu shook his head and chuckled.

Of course, what he’d said was still a bit too insane.

Even now, in a situation like this.

But for him, it truly didn’t matter anymore. ’Let them think what they want.’

”I’m going upstairs to take a shower. Yaya, I’ll be waiting for you.”

He said with a smile, then headed upstairs.

Jiang Ya’s face flushed slightly. She glanced at the others, hesitated for a moment, then timidly hurried after Lin Chu.

’It’s already come to this. It’s better to go up with Lin Chu than to stay down here.’

The decor on the second floor was quite nice, a typical European style. After a quick scan, Lin Chu didn’t spot any surveillance equipment.

He casually walked into a bedroom and started taking off his clothes, getting ready to shower.

”Come on, let’s go together.”

Jiang Ya was speechless.

Although she had mentally prepared herself, she still swallowed nervously, her face beet red as she looked at him. ”Is this... really okay?”

”What’s not okay about it?”

”Haven’t you seen any American blockbusters? Before the hero goes off to save the world, or before a big battle breaks out, they almost always have to get a round in first.”

”It’s standard procedure. Don’t panic.”

Jiang Ya was speechless.

She was at a loss for words yet again.

”We... We’re not going to die, are we? Are we?”

She fiddled with the hem of her clothes, her lips pursed and her eyelashes trembling slightly.

It was impossible to say she wasn’t panicking.

For her, this kind of situation was far too unfamiliar and terrifying.

Even with Lin Chu here, she was still afraid.

”Hard to say. But things are already like this. We’re damned if we do, damned if we don’t, so I don’t give a flying fuck.”

”Get in here and scrub my back.”

Lin Chu reached out and forcefully pulled her into the bathroom.

...

As the steaming hot water poured over his head, Lin Chu felt his entire body relax.

’If the last trip was about navigating the trials of love and pondering the fundamental questions of life,’ he thought, ’then this is a trial of life and death.’

Compared to that final outcome, everything else seemed to lose its importance.

He wasn’t actively embracing death, but he truly had nothing to panic about.

Just a slight smile, and then a middle finger raised.

This was his attitude toward the world.

Under the spray of water, Jiang Ya’s pretty face looked exceptionally lovely, even taking on the look of a tear-streaked beauty—shy and timid.

”Have you ever thought about what you’d be like now if you’d never met me?”

Lin Chu asked with a smile, lifting her chin with his hand.

She bit her lip gently, thought for a moment, and a trace of tenderness appeared in her eyes. ”I probably would have been married off by now, right?”

”Or maybe working at a bathhouse or a KTV?”

That was a very real possibility.

After all, she was born into a family that favored sons over daughters, a family in desperate need of money. For a beautiful girl like her, being born into such a household was truly no blessing.

After she had money, Jiang Ya had occasionally considered this question, and she knew it was true.

Likewise, it was only after getting money that her grades improved significantly. Her mind was no longer consumed by internal struggles.

”Tsk, then I really got a bad deal. I ended up spending millions on something I could have gotten for a few thousand.”

Lin Chu teased with a laugh, then swept her up in his arms, strode brazenly out of the bathroom, and tossed her onto the bed.

When life is good, you must enjoy it to the fullest.

Fuck!

...

「Downstairs.」

Watching the two of them go upstairs, the group was somewhat dumbfounded. After coming to their senses, they pretended nothing had happened and went back to what they were doing.

Wang Zhefei and Liu Chenhui exchanged a look, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

”That bastard, he’s really getting carried away. He used to act like a human, but now he’s not even trying.”

Wang Zhefei couldn’t help but complain.

There had been a time before when he’d felt a growing distance from Lin Chu. After all... their social classes were completely different now.

The reason their friendship could still be maintained was mainly due to a father’s love for his son.

Yep.

Each acting as the other’s father.

Even now, Wang Zhefei felt it wasn’t that big of a deal. Before he went abroad, he had already considered all of this thoroughly.

Liu Chenhui rubbed his nose and gave a slightly awkward smile. ”I think it’s fine. Brother Chu... I mean, the Boss, he’s a true leader.”

After that vague remark, he changed the subject. ”I’m thinking about what’s going to happen tonight. We don’t have enough people, and they’re mostly women, aside from the three of us... I was just talking with the guys. Someone suggested doing some digging, to see if we can excavate a tunnel, but after estimating the workload, there isn’t enough time.”

”Actually, there’s another, simpler way. Contact the embassy and see if they can provide a rescue or some other kind of mediation. But... that’s also a lot of trouble.”

Liu Chenhui said in a very low voice, looking toward the top of the stairs.

He didn’t know what Lin Chu was thinking.

Asking the country for help was one option, but it would also create new problems.

After all, they had blood on their hands.

Without ”going public,” if they could resolve this privately, it wouldn’t be a big deal. But if they did go public, the situation would spiral out of control just the same.

From the way Lin Chu was handling things, it seemed he was leaning toward not going public.

’That idea...’

Wang Zhefei thought about it, his brow furrowing. Taking a deep breath, he strode toward the stairs. ”I’m going up to find him.”

”Okay, you go. I’ll keep an eye on things down here.”

He went up to the second floor.

Wang Zhefei immediately heard the sounds from the bedroom. He was even more speechless and let out a long sigh. ’That bastard, he’s got some real nerve. His brain is all in his dick. How can he be doing this kind of thing at a time like this?’

Steeling himself, he knocked on the door anyway.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

’Stop messing around!’

’We have important business to deal with!’
