Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 532: Chapter 316: The Water Army Plan, Foolish Tang Qiang, Brothers

”Perfect!”

”Let’s do it just like that!”

”I have no objections!”

”However, if we want to achieve that goal, five million USD might not be enough. We’ll probably need to add another zero to that.”

He could already feel Lin Chu’s magnanimity and had a good guess as to his ultimate goal. He wholeheartedly approved of this path to achieving it.

To put it bluntly, it was all about manpower.

If they could hire ten thousand employees, that in itself would be an incredible force to be reckoned with.

It would cost money, but it would definitely be money well spent.

By rapidly growing into a company that could provide a large number of jobs, they would open doors with the local upper echelons in all sorts of ways.

”No problem. This project has no budget cap. Hire people for me. Hire them like your life depends on it... And not just hiring. We also need to cultivate partners—big ones, small ones, PR firms, online marketing firms, all of them. Shove money at them. Shove it at them until they can’t take another bite, until they’re puking it up! Shove it at them until... I want my own online army all over Europe’s internet, and even the world’s!”

Lin Chu spread his hands and poured himself another glass of wine.

Xu Hu’s face was a little flushed.

His mind was blown.

Aggressive.

More and more aggressive.

He’d only had one glass of wine. How was he already talking so big?

He gave Lin Chu a thoughtful look and asked tentatively, ”Is the budget sufficient? Should we take an even bigger step? Acquire a media platform? If we’re really serious about buying, there are a few targets available.”

He also wanted to see just how big Lin Chu’s appetite was.

Even at this level, his own blood was already boiling with excitement.

”Acquire!”

”If it can be bought, buy it. You don’t need to worry about money. I’m giving you unlimited firing authority. I’ll support you with everything I’ve got, even if I have to sell my last pot and pan.”

”Although, a few hundred million, a billion, or even several billion is nowhere near the point of selling my last pot and pan.”

Lin Chu said, revealing his true, domineering colors.

The two of them were speechless...

Even so... Li Zuoguo really wanted to ask right then—’President Lin, what kind of business are you in, exactly? Do you own a mint?’

But after hesitating again and again, he held his tongue.

As a prudent, old-school businessman, he couldn’t bring himself to get too personal with a new acquaintance.

...

The chat with Xu Hu went very smoothly. Very satisfyingly.

Both parties felt it was very smooth and very satisfying.

Lin Chu quite approved of the man. He was decisive, capable, and the right age—the prime time for accomplishing great things.

As for Xu Hu, he naturally couldn’t be more satisfied with Lin Chu.

You could search the whole world with a lantern and never find another boss like him.

Truly eye-opening!

...

「The next day at noon.」

Lin Chu was splashing around in the hotel pool when he got a call from Tang Qiang.

”President Lin, the operation is tonight. The plan is all in place. Will you be observing? Or should you lie low for a bit? I’m already in London.”

He had found a team on the dark web, and they were taking action tonight.

Although the job was extremely covert, it still carried a certain amount of risk. To ensure his absolute safety, he had decided to leave Paris first and lie low.

Only by ensuring his own safety could he operate more effectively.

And if things went south... well, running wasn’t out of the question. He still had a budget on hand, after all.

His bottom line for this job was to not let it affect Lin Chu. He would take all the heat himself.

As for the extra two-million-plus USD, that was his danger pay.

Tang Qiang had already thought through his ”profit margin” and ”stop-loss point” very clearly.

’President Lin is a great boss.’

’I’ve also done my best to work for him.’

’There’s no problem with protecting myself a little, right?’

”Sure. Isn’t London a bit too close, though? Farther would be better. Don’t worry about me. I’ll most likely go watch. Is the money enough? If not, remember to tell me anytime.”

”Why don’t you give me another account number? I’ll send you some more.”

Hearing this...

Tang Qiang was momentarily stunned, at a loss for words. A feeling of shame even began to well up in his heart.

’He...’

’He really...’

’...leaves you speechless.’

’At a time like this, he’s still thinking about sending me money?’

Once again, Tang Qiang couldn’t tell if Lin Chu was being sincere or sarcastic.

”Uh... I... I still have money. I’ll let you know if I run short.”

Tang Qiang said, hesitating, feeling a bit embarrassed.

”Stop dithering. What’s all this nonsense? You’re doing something huge for me. This isn’t about money anymore.”

”Whether this job succeeds or not, what I’m giving you will be more than you can imagine. Send me the account number. I’ll send you another two million USD as a bonus. Go have fun wherever you want, just don’t get yourself into too much trouble. We have more great things to do later.”

Lin Chu chided with a laugh.

’There’s no point worrying about whether it’s a loss or not. Just spend it!’

’My main mission right now is to spend money.’

Tang Qiang was speechless...

At that moment, standing in the airport, he looked up at the sky, an indescribable emotion crossing his face.

’I...’

’In the end, my perspective was just too narrow.’

’President Lin can actually be like this!’

’And I was actually thinking... of skimming some of his money!’

’I’m a goddamn idiot!’

’Seriously!’

For a fleeting moment, Tang Qiang wanted to confess everything to Lin Chu. The words were on the tip of his tongue, but after thinking it over, he swallowed them back down.

Choosing his words carefully, Tang Qiang tried a different approach.

”The previous five million USD, from last time, I haven’t spent it all yet. The professional team and covert channels I found only used about half the budget. I was planning to use the other half for cleanup.”

’After all, I still have to maintain my dignity.’

’There’s no problem saying it this way.’

’Anyway, it’s just a change in mindset.’

”I already gave you the money. How you spend it is your business. If you get the job done for only half a million, then the rest is naturally all yours. Am I going to ask for it back?”

”During this time, if any problems come up, call me immediately. Even if you get caught, I’ll hire the best lawyers in the world, and no matter how much it costs, I’ll get you out!”

”These two million now are an extra bonus. Hurry up, send me the account number. That’s all.”

”Don’t dawdle with me in the future. My time is precious. That’s it, hanging up! I’ll wait for your text.”

After his blunt and simple speech, Lin Chu hung up the phone directly.

Tang Qiang held his phone, his eyes glazed over. He stood there in a daze for a moment, then couldn’t resist gently slapping himself across the face.

’I’m such a goddamn idiot!’

’Seriously!’

Taking a deep breath, he typed in his bank account number and texted it to Lin Chu.

Just a few minutes later, he saw the notification that the funds had arrived.

He looked up at the sky.

Tang Qiang let out a long sigh and muttered to himself, ”I’m so stupid, really...”

His fists clenched secretly.

”From now on, I’m going to suck up to him until I die!”

The money his boss tossed out so casually was more than the amount he, with a guilty conscience, had smugly and cleverly planned to skim from the mission funds!

It made him look like a complete and utter clown!

SMACK!

Tang Qiang couldn’t stop himself from giving his face another crisp slap.

It startled the passersby, who couldn’t help but stare for a few moments before hurrying away.

...

「That night.」

Lin Chu had already booked a room with a window in the hotel across from the Crazy Horse Show Building.

He was waiting for the good show to start.

But before that, Lin Chu had made a trip to the airport.

Wang Zhefei had arrived.

Nothing more needed to be said.

In any case, Brother Fei had still chosen to board his ”pirate ship” of his own accord.

Actually, Lin Chu had always respected his friend’s choices.

If he wanted to be a programmer, fine.

If he wanted to quit, fine.

If he wanted to take the civil service exam, fine.

Freedom and respect were everything he had given him, aside from money.

After all, a friend is a scrapbook of your youth.

A ”friend from humble beginnings” carries far more weight than friends made after one becomes rich.

Although his later friends were also quite genuine—verified by the panel—the earlier ones were steeped in the passage of time and viewed through the filter of his own heart.

At this moment, Wang Zhefei emerged from the airport arrivals gate, pulling a large suitcase.

Lin Chu saw him then, and a smile appeared on his face.

”You’re here?”

”Yeah.”

”Hungry?”

”Fuck you, I’m starving. Let’s go, I wanna go bag some foreign tail!”
