Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 503: Chapter 302: If I Get Rich, I Won’t Forget You; I Remember My Promise

”I’ll take it with a clear conscience. I owe him my life, so what’s wrong with taking a little of his money? Haha.”

”Let’s just sleep. Stop bullshitting and making wild guesses. This isn’t the time to get ourselves worked up. We just need to wait for Brother Chu to handle his business, and everything will become clear. At a critical time like this, we can’t be a distraction for him.”

”As for what he has planned next, I have no idea. But I know one thing: when he needs me, I’ll be there for him. I’m sure it’s the same for all of you.”

”Right, everyone?”

Hu Ping’an said with a confident smile, his tone firm, like a pillar of support for the group.

He was also the oldest one in the room.

”What Brother Hu said makes sense. Let’s just leave it at that. No more questions. I’m going to bed. We can talk when we wake up. I’m exhausted.”

Zhang Peng gave him a long look, then responded with a smile. He was the first to grab his room card, get up, and leave.

’He had a point.’

’Whatever the reason—whether he was really sharing his profits with his brothers, trying to mitigate risk, or had actually run into some kind of trouble—things hadn’t reached a dangerous point yet. Since Lin Chu did what he did, he must have had his reasons. All they could do was accept it.’

’And what was so hard to accept about it, anyway?’

Seeing this, the others hesitated for a moment before they all went their separate ways.

They were all more or less on the same page.

But the atmosphere remained a bit heavy.

As they were leaving, Lu Ming thought for a moment before saying with a grin, ”Damn, can’t you guys think on the bright side? Isn’t it possible that Brother Chu just made a huge pile of cash and wanted to share some with his brothers?”

Hearing this, the whole group instantly turned to stare at him.

”If you made a fortune, would you give your brothers fifty million?”

”Hell, if your *dad* made a fortune, would he even give *you* fifty million?”

Hit with two retorts in a row, Lu Ming... was left speechless.

”Damn it! Just go to bed, all of you!”

”Such a bunch of pessimists! You really can’t think on the bright side!”

...

Driving his car, Lin Chu calculated his current cash reserves. The full 22 billion had arrived today. In US Dollars, that was about 3.1 billion.

’It didn’t seem like all that much—only 3.1 billion—but it was enough for his startup capital.’

’Now that he was abroad, he could be much more lavish with his spending.’

Frankly, ever since that time in the Xiangjiang bar when he realized that ’the Tycoon System essentially plundered the collective wealth of the people and concentrated it on him’, Lin Chu had subconsciously harbored a subtle sense of guilt, and even felt a little insecure about it.

But now that he was abroad, that sense of guilt was completely gone. In its place, there was even a touch of pride born from a narrow-minded nationalism.

’This is what you call... wealth redistribution!’

’Gimme that!’

The meeting point with Rashid was the Land Department, or DLD. Using his GPS and a translation app, Lin Chu arrived to see Rashid’s car already parked outside.

It was still hot outside, and the blast of powerful air conditioning made Lin Chu shiver as he walked in.

Rashid was already there, chatting with two men in white robes in front of a massive architectural model.

When he saw Lin Chu walk in, he smiled, came forward for a hug, and gave him a very subtle wink.

’Hm?’

’What does that mean?’

Lin Chu didn’t get it at first.

”Chu, my friend, congratulations. You’re about to make a fortune.”

”I just got some news this morning. A special economic cooperation zone between our two countries is about to be established. And all morning, the Land Department has received over a dozen calls from real estate companies and famous tycoons from your country, asking if there are any plots available for purchase. Ideally, right next to the economic zone.”

Rashid looked Lin Chu in the eye, speaking deliberately in Chinese, his gaze clear and congratulatory.

’This...’

Lin Chu was momentarily stunned.

’A special economic zone?’

’A joint economic zone?’

”What’s more, a new airport is going to be built inside this economic zone for global logistics and shipping, making it an incredibly convenient transport hub. I’m sure many companies from your country have already set their sights on it.”

”Hahahaha...”

”What’s that saying? If I’m not using the phrase correctly, it should be: ’The pavilion closest to the water gets the moonlight first’!”

Rashid continued.

Hearing this, Lin Chu was genuinely and pleasantly surprised. He quickly pulled out his phone, searched the news, and sure enough, the matter was already causing a stir online.

’Damn, the Motherland is amazing!’

’We’re really getting bigger and stronger, one step at a time.’

”What other plots are available for purchase nearby? I’ll take them all!”

Lin Chu reacted quickly and said decisively, ’I’m loaded with ammunition right now. It’s time to charge!’

’This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Only a complete idiot would miss it.’

’It wasn’t about speculating on land. It was about seizing a prime asset at the forefront of a major new trend. The money he could make from this might not be any less than what the System provided.’

”I’ve already picked them out for you.”

”Here, look. Plot 246, 247, 248, 249... These four plots are contiguous, totaling nearly a square kilometer. They’re separated from the new economic zone by just a single highway, and some parts of it extend to be directly adjacent to the zone.”

Rashid led Lin Chu to the model. After they exchanged greetings with a few people, he pointed out the location on the map for him.

The land was located between the old and new city districts. Strictly speaking, it was a bit remote.

However, while its natural conditions weren’t great, its economic location was simply too advantageous.

’Being right next to the future economic zone, what couldn’t you do with it?’

’If you follow the real powerhouse, when they feast on the meat, you can at least get the bones. Plus, it’s a secure bet.’

”Great. I’ll take it all. How much?”

Lin Chu didn’t even haggle. After all, he already had his next steps planned out. He would buy this land and then transfer it—gift it—to Lu Ming. It was the classic trick of stepping on his own feet to fly, a way to recycle his funds and ascend.

’The more expensive, the better!’

”The land here is about four thousand USD per square meter. For a full square kilometer, that’s nearly four billion USD. You can pay in installments or take out a loan.”

”I’ve also spoken to my brother. If you buy land here, the sovereign wealth fund can give you a loan for that amount we discussed last night. The interest will be at the standard international rate.”

”So? What do you think? Can you handle it?”

”If you can’t, I can personally help you with some of the financing.”

Rashid said, raising his eyebrows. He seemed almost impatient, more invested in the deal than Lin Chu himself.

Hearing this, Lin Chu was taken aback for a moment.

’This...’

’It can’t be, can it?’

’He’d go this far for me?’

The other man was so enthusiastic that Lin Chu started to wonder if it was some kind of trap.

’The old ”lock the doors and beat the dog” routine?’

However, looking into Rashid’s clear eyes, Lin Chu suppressed the thought for the time being. ’Probably not. There must be another reason.’

’For example, he really admires me.’

’Or maybe he wants to make a name for himself to impress his elders.’

’Or it could be about factional struggles between the princes, and he needs an outside ally.’

’Besides...’

’And for him, as long as he got the land, its value was real. The moment he transferred it, the rebate would be in his account.’

’Worst-case scenario, even if he bought the land and the project was abandoned for some reason, it wouldn’t matter. He would have already gotten his rebate.’

’Three billion USD felt a little risky for buying a bank in Europe. If he could pull off this land deal first, his ammunition would be more plentiful, and he’d feel much more confident.’

”No problem! Four billion it is. I’ve got about three billion in cash on hand, so I can borrow another billion from the sovereign fund... The interest rate is fine!”

”My good brother! Thank you! I mean it!”

Lin Chu clapped him firmly on the shoulder and pulled him into a tight hug.

Just then, a long-awaited friend slot notification quietly appeared on the virtual panel before his eyes.

[The 10th Friend Slot has now been unlocked.]

[Friend: Talal bin Abdulaziz Bandar Al-Rashid]

[Intimacy: 95]

’Whoa!’

’This Little Prince has such a long name.’

A smile crept onto Lin Chu’s lips. Now he was completely at ease. The system itself had given its seal of approval.

’Tsk.’

’The Little Prince...’

’If I could get him to call me ’daddy,’ now that would be satisfying!’
