Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 519: Chapter 311: The Eleventh Friend Slot, the Iron Simpleton...

After a stroll down the Champs-Élysées, Lin Chu returned empty-handed. He hadn’t bought a thing.

He’d done plenty of looking, though.

But he just wasn’t in the mood to spend any money.

Not in the slightest.

To him, luxury goods no longer held any meaning.

When he got a call from Gao Haitao saying they had the houses picked out, Lin Chu thought for a moment and decided to go take a look himself.

The requirements he had given him were simple: they had to be large, private, and preferably, allow the guys to live together.

Following these requirements, the only real options were villas.

This meant the locations would be relatively remote.

But that wasn’t a problem, since cars were standard issue anyway.

The employees of LC Security all had work and residency permits. France doesn’t prohibit foreigners from purchasing property, so the paperwork wasn’t difficult.

After driving for about half an hour, Lin Chu arrived.

Beisi Village.

Located in the Twelfth District and bordering the Seine River, it was about ten kilometers from the city center, boasting beautiful scenery and a pleasant environment.

The LC Security Paris Branch had thirty-seven members in total. Aside from those already out on missions, over a dozen were currently idle.

Lin Chu’s demand was one house per person.

Gao Haitao didn’t understand the request, but he followed the order anyway.

He had long since become numb to it.

The area had a nice environment, wasn’t far from the train station or the airport, and the property values weren’t exorbitant. These were the main reasons he had chosen it.

He contacted a real estate agent and put holds on nearly every property for sale in the ”village.”

The agent was completely floored, feeling like they’d been sucker-punched by the sheer wealth of a Chinese tycoon.

The average house here was around five hundred thousand euros, and not many local young people could afford one.

Lin Chu met Gao Haitao at a landmark local cafe.

Over a dozen of his men were there, looking at him with eager anticipation.

Seeing the scene as he got out of the car, Lin Chu broke into a small smile. He walked over to them and accepted the coffee Gao Haitao offered.

”So? Are they any good?”

Gao Haitao smiled and nodded. ”They’re all great. Everyone’s very satisfied.”

Since the boss had confirmed he was footing the bill, this wasn’t the time for unnecessary words.

He knew Lin Chu’s personality.

”Then stop wasting time. Go handle the paperwork. Here’s the card. The PIN is 970822.”

Lin Chu casually handed over a card.

After the tens of billions of USD had been deposited, he had split it up into different accounts. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket, after all.

The security of the panel’s funding channels was absolutely solid—he had verified it himself many times.

Even with their strict regulations, the banks in China hadn’t noticed anything suspicious.

So naturally, there wouldn’t be any problems with foreign banks either.

”Aren’t you going to take a look?”

”There’s one mansion, the biggest one, that I really wanted you to see.”

Gao Haitao asked as he took the card.

’He’s just buying for the employees, not for himself?’

”No need. I prefer hotels.”

”Go close the deals. I won’t bother with the paperwork. You hold onto this card. And give the mansion to Ah Qiang. He’s a man destined for big things.”

Lin Chu’s gaze drifted to Tang Qiang as he spoke with a wide smile.

’For those who dare to do great things, I’m naturally generous with my rewards.’

Tang Qiang: ...

He licked his lips, a flicker of excitement quietly surfacing in his eyes.

”This... isn’t this inappropriate?”

”There are guys here with higher ranks and more seniority than me.”

His eyes swept across the group, and seeing his own manager among the dozen or so men, he felt compelled to offer a token refusal.

”This is an extra reward for the job you’re doing. Guess it’s just your lucky day, kid... Now go on.”

Lin Chu waved his hand in front of everyone, smiling with an air of casual nonchalance.

He took a sip of his coffee, settled into his chair with a commanding presence, and lit a cigarette.

The other men all looked on with a hint of curiosity.

They didn’t understand how Tang Qiang had suddenly caught the big boss’s eye.

Naturally, a bit of longing stirred in their hearts as well.

Gao Haitao chimed in with a smile to smooth things over. ”He has a special mission, so this is a special arrangement. Come on, let’s go see your new houses. Ha, Brother Chu is getting more and more generous. He doesn’t even look at the price tags anymore.”

Lin Chu exhaled a long plume of smoke and laughed. ”Alright, go on.”

Gao Haitao called out a few names, preparing to take them in groups to get the process started.

Enjoying the breeze from the Seine Riverfront, sipping his coffee, and watching the beautiful women pass by, Lin Chu chatted casually with the remaining employees.

They were all veteran employees from the old Shield company.

In a way, they were highly competent individuals. The fact that they dared to go abroad to strike it rich and earn a high salary spoke volumes about their courage and abilities.

Of course, each had their own flaws, too.

The man currently sitting across from Lin Chu was the local manager, Li Rui. He was a tall man in his thirties with a buzz cut and a radiant smile.

They had already been chatting for a while.

He was ex-border patrol. After leaving the service, he got married, then divorced a year later. Disheartened and with his parents gone, he decided to move abroad. He still had a younger brother back home, but he was enjoying his freedom here and had no desire to return. He was fluent in both French and English.

At this moment, Li Rui’s feelings toward Lin Chu were rather complicated.

He found his boss to be quite mysterious.

His willingness to spend money like water was one thing, but what was truly striking was his age. He was just so young.

And buying houses for the entire staff here, frankly, struck him as a completely baffling move.

’What’s his angle?’

He didn’t understand it, but he was in absolute awe.

Of course, for him personally, this was by no means a bad thing.

Buying a house was a way of putting down roots. For someone drifting in a foreign land, it provided a real sense of security.

”President Lin, will you be arranging any new tasks for us?”

After they had been chatting for a while, Li Rui asked with a casual smile.

He was just trying to feel him out.ℯℯ𝑙.
