Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 347: Chapter 242: Starting Today, I’m a Ten-Billionaire

”Shenlong Security has nearly fifty thousand employees alone. Their business covers security services, corporate risk management, supply chain security, hotel security management, large-scale exhibitions, business consulting, business fraud investigation, insurance investigation... They’ll even investigate a mistress or an affair. That all falls within their scope of business... They even opened a college, the Shenlong Security Vocational College.”

Lin Chu: ”...”

’That was quite an education.’

’Damn, that’s pretty impressive.’

”Then let’s do it. How about this: when I get back to Peng City, you can help me set up a dinner with your boss. I’d like him to give me some guidance on the business. Money isn’t an issue for me, but I really don’t know much about this industry. He can give me some pointers on the risks and pitfalls.”

”Also, if we really get it off the ground, would you be interested in coming over to run it?”

Lin Chu said with a smile, a plan already forming in his mind.

For most people, the hardest parts of starting a security company would be landing clients and covering payroll.

After all, the most lucrative contracts required high-level connections.

As for smaller-scale jobs, like providing security guards, it took time and strategic planning to build up market share.

’But for me, I don’t have to worry about any of that.’

’A security company is basically all men, aside from the support staff.’

’A few swipes, and supporting them would be no problem at all.’

’In fact, the more people, the better.’

’If I really had fifty thousand goddamn employees, what more could I possibly ask for?’

Gao Haitao chuckled. ”Of course. I’m in. You’re doing me a huge honor, Mr. Lin. I won’t let you down.”

”My current boss, President Hua, is actually thinking of retiring. He handed most of the company’s business over to his son to manage, but the kid’s incompetent. After two years, things were a complete mess, so President Hua had to hire a professional manager. Sigh... anyway, it’s pretty chaotic over there. Last month, they even forgot to pay my social security, hahaha...”

He aired a few grievances to show just how eager he was to switch jobs.

He knew exactly what kind of boss Lin Chu was. He was with him day in and day out—spending more time together than with any woman—so he was already very familiar with him.

He was definitely a loyal and righteous man, and incredibly powerful.

”Alright, let’s leave it at that for now.”

”I’ll probably be in Xiangjiang for about three days. I have a few dinners set up with Jackie Chan. You just continue your vacation, but also start thinking about the procedures, legal compliance, reliable personnel—your trusted guys—and how much capital we’ll need to invest...”

Lin Chu added one last instruction before hanging up.

He lit a cigarette and exhaled a long stream of smoke, feeling a thrill pulse through him.

A genuine thrill.

Wealth was a tangible expression of power.

But the world’s most primitive rule, its most fundamental force, was still violence.

He’d overlooked this point during his last period of reflection.

’A security company.’

’This piece had to be added to the puzzle.’

’Holy shit!’

The thought suddenly shocked even Lin Chu himself.

’An orphanage plus a security company...’

’What are you trying to pull?’

’Set the kids up with jobs in advance? Turn them all into security guards as soon as they’re old enough?’

At that moment, seeing Lin Chu finish his call, a seductive Jin Zhenxian glided over. She held a glass of water and gave him a captivating smile. ”Mr. Lin, you look exhausted. Would you like me to help you relax your neck?”

She hadn’t appeared during the livestream, having returned to her own room.

But now, she had changed into a loose, pure-black silk robe. Walking barefoot on the plush white carpet, she looked every bit the seductress.

She was, however, completely baffled by Lin Chu’s decision to livestream.

’Why would such an important figure do something so... plebeian?’

’What kind of tycoon livestreams?’

’Unless they were running for office.’

But that didn’t stop her from recognizing Lin Chu’s power. He had casually dropped tens of millions in a single night and, what’s more, spent four hours just chatting with Jackie Chan on the stream. It wasn’t a business deal; it was pure conversation.

That in itself bespoke a level of extravagance beyond belief.

Besides, serving him well was her... obligation.

”Sure.”

Lin Chu smiled nonchalantly and flopped onto the sofa.

...

「The next day.」

When Lin Chu woke up, he saw a flood of messages from Zhang Peng.

He’d drunk too much.

Way too much.

He’d gotten too carried away at lunch the previous day, so much so that he’d completely lost himself. The main reason was the immense work pressure he’d been under lately. Arriving in an unfamiliar place with a tourist’s mindset, he had unconsciously let himself relax completely.

Coupled with the atmosphere at the time, it was far too easy to let loose.

He had slept until just after 2 a.m. before waking with a start, only to realize he’d missed everything—including Lin Chu’s livestream that evening.

”No worries. Are you awake now? I’ll head over in a bit to transfer the title for house No. 108 to you.”

Lin Chu replied magnanimously.

million.

A ten-fold rebate.

9.2 billion.

’To be honest, even for Lin Chu himself, that amount still made him tremble a little.’

’He wasn’t quite prepared for the feeling of his cash flow exploding from just over a billion to nearly ten billion in an instant.’

However, Lin Chu understood the principle behind it very well.

’A man can’t get rich without a windfall, after all.’

Back in his circle in Peng City, whether he was buying land or just generating cash, he had fallen into a ”routine” cycle of gradual accumulation and consolidation of his power.

But now, being out here... he’d had the idea of buying a house for a while, but for a luxury mansion in Xiangjiang to be so expensive, and for him to gift it away for a ten-fold rebate—that felt more like a stroke of serendipity.

Of course, Lin Chu knew that the most important part of this process was actually training his own ability to control such immense wealth.

True wealth was not what you had, but what you could control.
