Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 329: Chapter 236: Brother Qiang, Today I’m Treating You to Fish

”Once my follower count hits ten million, it’ll be about time to start expanding with branch offices. I want you to start looking for people, mainly branch managers. We’ll start with the tier-one cities and gradually expand downwards. The ultimate goal is to cover every prefecture-level city in the country.”

With ample funding now, Lin Chu was full of confidence.

To him, his greatest asset wasn’t cash flow or savings, but his employees—especially the male ones.

’What about an online army of a hundred thousand?’

If he could grow to have that many employees, he wouldn’t have to worry about a thing.

Besides, media and retail could create a synergy.

The media company would go first. Once it was well-established, they would open physical stores there, promoting their own products.

These two legs would steadily support a commercial empire with a solid foundation.

Thinking about it this way, Lin Chu even felt like he was going to war, conquering territory.

HISS...

Hearing Lin Chu’s words, Zhang Peng drew in a sharp breath. For a moment, his mind couldn’t help but run wild with possibilities.

Just thinking about that ultimate form felt absolutely mind-blowing.

”Okay, I’ll start keeping an eye out.”

He nodded firmly, his fists clenching involuntarily.

’Let’s do this!’

’A grand undertaking!’

’We’ll make it bigger and stronger!’

...

”Brother Qiang, hello. How about we have fish for lunch?”

At twelve noon sharp, Lin Chu met with Zhang Songwen as scheduled. The location was a private room in a restaurant called ”Beihai Fishing Village.” They met in the restaurant’s parking lot, and though Zhang Songwen was wearing a mask, Lin Chu recognized him at a glance. He walked up with a grin, shook his hand, and made that teasing remark.

Standing beside them, Gu Jiayan almost burst out laughing.

’This guy is really something!’

Zhang Songwen was speechless.

Beneath his mask, the muscles on his face twitched slightly, a look of exasperated amusement.

But he knew this had pretty much become his trademark.

Many supermarkets’ seafood sections even had that line on display: ”Tell Lao Mo I want to eat fish.”

”President Lin, hello. I have no objections. Shall we head inside?”

He offered a reserved and polite smile as they walked into the private room together, only then taking off his mask and sunglasses.

The dishes were quickly brought out, one after another.

They chatted as they ate.

After some small talk and pleasantries to get acquainted, Lin Chu quickly cut to the chase.

”Our main task for today is to first shoot a short video, then do a live stream from eight to twelve tonight. After the stream, we’re done for the day.”

”The live stream will mainly be chatting. I’m still in the process of building my fanbase, so I won’t be selling any products.”

”As for the short video we need to shoot, they’ve prepared a few scripts for me. Would you like to take a look?”

Gu Jiayan handed him the script she had prepared.

Zhang Peng had the company’s planning department rush to get all this preparation work done in the morning.

Hearing this, Zhang Songwen switched into work mode, taking the script and reading through it quickly.

Option One:

Deep Brotherly Bond.

In the persona of a ”fishmonger,” you become sworn brothers with Lin Chu.

Character setting: You are two brothers who grew up together but haven’t seen each other in a long time. One does business in Xiangjiang, while the other sells fish back home. You meet again after more than a decade.

Note: To avoid copyright issues with *Raging Storm*, this is not the character of ”Gao Qiqiang,” merely a similar character archetype.

’This...’

Zhang Songwen couldn’t help but glance at Lin Chu. He suddenly found it quite amusing, like it was some kind of ”fan fiction.”

Moreover, it was a derivative work being created by the actor from the original show himself.

As for copyright, there was indeed no need to worry, as long as he didn’t appear as ”Gao Qiqiang.”

As for becoming sworn brothers...

It was just an act, so there was no problem with that either.

’This President Lin, this Boss Lin... he’s quite an interesting guy. He really knows how to play the game.’

Option Two:

Eating Fish.

Same character setting as above.

Lin Chu is a childhood friend you haven’t seen in years. One day, you suddenly receive a message from him, inviting you to dinner. After much deliberation, you agree and go to the designated restaurant alone. When you push open the door to the private room, you find a group of men in sharp suits inside. Lin Chu is sitting in the middle. With a faint smile, he says, ”Brother Qiang, today, I’m treating you to fish.”

Note: Wong Kar-wai-style dialogue and editing.

”Hahaha...”

Just imagining the scene made Zhang Songwen laugh out loud.

It was... actually quite interesting.

He guessed that the screenwriter had probably taken into account that this President Lin had no acting experience. That’s why the scene was almost a solo performance for him, with Lin Chu only appearing at the end for a single line.

However, it had a lot of visual impact, and the ending, in particular, was very powerful.

Option Three:

Brothers Falling Out.

You two are brothers of many years. You have a falling out over something in a KTV private room, smashing beer bottles over each other’s heads.

The final reveal: the reason for the falling out is that he swipes your lighter every time you eat together. This has happened many times, and you’ve been putting up with him for ages.

Note: A classic reenactment, nonsensical slapstick style.

Zhang Songwen was speechless again.

He burst out laughing again.

”I think all three scripts are quite good. Of course, considering the filming difficulty, the second one is definitely the easiest. In terms of comedic effect, the third one is the best.”

He looked up at Lin Chu and offered his opinion.

”Let’s shoot the second one first, then. We’re already in a private room, so we can get it done conveniently.”

”You can film your other shots later.”

”If there’s enough time, we’ll go ahead and shoot the third one too.”

”As for the first one, we’ll see.”

Lin Chu said with a casual smile.

For this kind of commercial contract, the fee was calculated on a daily basis. It was equivalent to buying a day of the star’s work time, so naturally, the client could schedule it however they wished.

”Alright, I have no problem with that.”

Zhang Songwen had a very professional attitude. Since the client paying the bills made the request, he nodded and agreed.
