Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 315: Chapter 230: I Have a Better Idea

After talking things over with Zhou Luan, Lin Chu returned to the bevy of beauties and continued drinking.

But just as he took a sip, a curious idea popped into his head.

’Her plan is strategically sound, I’ve already thought it through seriously.’

’But there’s a slight flaw in the tactical execution.’

’A headline like ”Man Spends Tens of Millions at a Nightclub to Chase a Girl” is certainly eye-catching, but the ”plot” isn’t exciting enough. It lacks a twist; it’s not compelling.’

’The drama isn’t juicy enough.’

Lin Chu thought for a moment and quickly came up with another plan.

He once again vaulted over the sofa and found Zhou Luan, who hadn’t yet put the plan into action.

”I have a better idea.”

”It’ll make you even more famous.”

Lin Chu said with a confident smile.

”Hm?”

Zhou Luan was slightly taken aback. ”Go on.”

”The script for the whole story won’t be that I spent a fortune at a nightclub to pursue you. Instead, it will be that I spent a fortune at a nightclub trying to pursue you, and in the end, I still failed. Then you slap me, leave triumphantly, and I’m left in tears.”

”At the same time, we need to weave in the backstory of the football club—how it was originally yours, but I snatched it from you. And yet, in the process, I ended up falling in love with you.”

”We can even lead people to speculate that I might have bought the club just to get your attention.”

Lin Chu said, his tone calm.

Zhou Luan: !!!

She had been a little confused at first, but as soon as he explained it, she understood completely.

’A rich guy getting the girl isn’t news. A rich guy *failing* to get the girl—*that* is!’

It was just like how Principal Wang had a dozen ex-girlfriends, all practically interchangeable, yet the one everyone remembered most was Sun Yining, the one he couldn’t win over!

’This sly dog really has a few tricks up his sleeve.’

’His mind works so fast.’

Plus, adding the backstory made the whole story more convoluted, making the drama even juicier.

”So this is the ’beautiful, strong, and tragic’ persona you were talking about, huh?”

”And then the series continues: after your pursuit of pure love fails, you start to live a completely debauched life, letting yourself go without a care in the world, right?”

Zhou Luan was no stranger to these kinds of dramatic tropes. She quickly guessed Lin Chu’s true intentions and teased him with a smile.

Lin Chu couldn’t help but laugh out loud. He patted her head. ”Girls shouldn’t be so smart. It’ll stunt your growth.”

”Bullshit!”

”I’m already plenty tall, okay!”

Zhou Luan swatted his hand away.

Lin Chu’s gaze casually drifted over her collarbone. ”Then it’ll make you flat-chested.”

Zhou Luan: ...

She rolled her eyes and sighed.

”But I’m getting the short end of the stick here. It’ll make me look like some cold, heartless woman. You know how public opinion is these days; I’ll definitely get flamed to death. It’ll even affect my ability to find a boyfriend.”

”Cut the crap. Look how pleased you are; you can’t wipe that grin off your face. Isn’t this exactly the ’strong female lead’ script you wanted? Do you want it or not? If not, forget it. I’ll find a different female lead. Li Ke’er could work. At least she’s an up-and-coming starlet in the entertainment industry. A professional. She’s definitely more desperate for fame than you are.”

Lin Chu retorted without a shred of mercy.

She was just playing the victim after getting exactly what she wanted.

Zhou Luan grew anxious.

”I want it, I want it!”

”I was just kidding.”

”Okay, I’ll go find a professional PR firm to handle this now. We’ll need to fabricate the WeChat chat logs in advance, too.”

She was already thinking about the specifics of execution.

Lin Chu glanced at her and nodded.

”Fine! But you’re paying for this yourself. The company isn’t reimbursing it. Damn it, if you’re going to put on such a huge show, you can foot the bill!”

Zhou Luan: ...

Watching Lin Chu’s departing figure, she couldn’t help but shake her small fist.

Then she couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

’Unbelievable!’

’I got used for free again!’

’But this kind of thing is so thrilling. Just thinking about it is exciting.’

’From now on, call me the ruthless... Niohuru Luan!’

...

Zhou Luan chatted with her dad for a while longer. After getting his approval, she fleshed out the entire plan in more detail. With her dad’s recommendation, she also found a suitable PR firm.

As for this matter...

Since Lin Chu had agreed and his daughter was insistent on having her fun, Zhou Ming figured he might as well let her. He didn’t have any objections, and even if he did, he couldn’t change his daughter’s mind.

Besides, Xiaoluan wouldn’t be at a disadvantage in this scenario.

It would highlight her image as the ”noble and proud” little princess of a real estate conglomerate.

He just couldn’t help but sigh with emotion. ’Kids these days really know how to have fun!’

...

「In the bar.」

When Li Ke’er arrived, she was stunned to find that the area where Lin Chu was located had absolutely exploded. It had become the focal point of the entire bar, so crowded that you could barely move.

A number of beautiful girls were even sitting on the arms of the sofa.

Many men were also coming over one after another to offer him a toast.

’What’s going on here?’

She glanced around again and was shocked to discover that the level of spending in this bar was astonishingly high.

Almost every single table had a Divine Dragon Set.

She quickly grabbed a waiter and asked what was happening. When she finally understood the situation, she was left frozen in place.

’What kind of extravagance is this?’

’It couldn’t be to welcome me, could it?’

’Definitely not.’

’I hadn’t even arrived yet!’

Still, she felt an inexplicable excitement in this atmosphere. Lifting the hem of her skirt, she walked briskly toward Lin Chu.

Lin Chu glanced at her, and his eyes instantly lit up.

He had told her on the phone to wear something ”cool” to avoid ”heatstroke.” And now, she was indeed dressed very coolly. She wore a long black dress, a modified evening gown style. The neckline had been raised, but a piece of fabric was missing at the chest, creating a cutout. The back was also open, creating a tantalizingly revealing look that was alluring without being vulgar.

”Come on, have a seat.”
