Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 307: Chapter 226: Business Elite and Little Puppy

After finishing his calls and sending the messages, Lin Chu couldn’t help but chuckle.

He suddenly recalled what Fang Yichun had said in the taxi that night back in Yang City. She had described him as an INTP personality—a ”Cold-faced Bodhisattva” who relied on logic for everything.

His approach to this situation surprisingly fit that description perfectly.

No investigation, no right to speak.

’First, I’ll collect sample data. Then, I’ll network and communicate to build up my database. Finally, I’ll summarize, reflect, choose, contemplate, and confirm the path I want to take.’

’After all, I’m a real amateur at this whole being-rich thing.’

’My family has been poor farmers for three generations!’

’Who says being rich isn’t a skill?’

...

”Xiaoluan, what are the famous social circles for the wealthy second generation in Peng City? Or do you know any second-generation rich guys worth over a billion and under thirty? And they have to be men.”

Lin Chu took Zhou Ming’s advice and casually sent a message to Zhou Luan.

At the same time, his friend request to the staff member from Hu Run was accepted.

Zhou Xiaoluan quickly replied, ”The United Youth Association. I know a few people there. What are you planning?”

Her attitude toward Lin Chu wasn’t great, but at least they could have a normal conversation now. She was finally sounding like a civil human being.

She had been tempted to add, ’Looking for guys? Are you coming out of the closet?’ but managed to restrain the impulse.

’Having a toxic mouth is a disease.’

’I have to change.’

’I must change.’

’I am changing.’

’The United Youth Association?’

The name, which sounded like a formal organization, caught Lin Chu’s attention.

But he had honestly never heard of it before.

He did a quick search.

There was a building in Peng City called the Tongxin Building. It was the base for a business organization called the Unity Association, whose members were all tycoons worth tens or even hundreds of billions. The list included the heads of companies like Tencent, BYD, and Shunfeng, to name a few. Its reputation was illustrious, and its prestige was comparable to the Taishan Association.

The members had pooled their money to buy the building, using it as their base of operations.

And the United Youth Association was part of the Unity Association.

The tycoons had their own circle. The fathers’ generation and the children’s generation—the second and even third generations—carried on these relationships, forming something akin to friendships between hereditary families.

HISSS...

’Holy shit!’

Reading this information, Lin Chu felt a growing sense of shock.

The phrase ”aristocratic clans” even popped into his mind.

”Alright, introduce me. I’ll treat everyone to dinner tonight.”

Lin Chu replied nonchalantly. ’These historical cycles are unsolvable. It’s just human nature. No use overthinking it.’

’Just gotta focus on my own stuff.’

Zhou Luan quickly replied, ”I don’t know if I have that much pull, but I can give it a shot and ask. Someone invited me before, but I never joined.”

”Why didn’t you join, then?”

Lin Chu replied with a smile.

”Because I’m proud!”

”I couldn’t get along with them!”

”Back then, I looked down on everyone equally, except for my good friends.”

Zhou Luan replied proudly.

She had now cleverly grasped the true essence of having a sharp edge: it shouldn’t be used to hurt others, but it could be used to empower herself. Even occasional self-deprecation was fair game.

Seeing her reply, Lin Chu just shook his head and smiled again.

”Alright, alright! Stop posturing, you’re blinding me. Just hurry up and set it up. I’ll be waiting.”

Zhou Luan: ”OKK.”

He ended the chat with her for now.

Lin Chu lit a cigarette and turned his attention to the staff member from Hu Run.

Their WeChat username was: Hu Xiaorun No. 17.

’The rich list doesn’t manufacture anything; its brand is its most important asset. It looks like Hu Run really cares about this stuff. They’re even using the WeChat names of their client-facing employees to reinforce their brand.’

”Hello, Mr. Lin. We just received your call and are honored by your interest. I have looked up your information through public channels and found that you have several companies and numerous investments to your name. Your core asset is the Peng City LC Golf Club, of which you are the sole owner. This level of wealth certainly meets the criteria for an interview for our ’Business Elites Under 30’ list. We would like to cordially invite you to our headquarters for a meeting. Do you know when you might be available? I can schedule an appointment for you.”

The person sent a long message.

’They’re really showing off the company’s high-class status.’

’In other words: You come to us! Get over here yourself, and be quick about it! We don’t make house calls!’

Lin Chu glanced at the message, unfazed. After a moment’s thought, he replied, ”Is there a fee?”

’He knew, of course, that they weren’t going to be paying him.’

’It was the other way around: he would be the one going there to pay.’

’This was Hu Run’s core business model.’

’Whether you wanted to be on the list or not, you had to pay up.’

”Mr. Lin, yes, there is a fee. The cost for a single interview is 800,000 RMB, and that includes some subsequent marketing services.”

Tsk.

’That’s some easy money to make.’

Lin Chu remarked with a smile, ”Alright, I’ll see when I have time and let you know.”

”Of course, Mr. Lin. Is there anything else I can help you with?”

Not giving up on his hope of getting something for free, and not wanting to go to Shanghai just yet, Lin Chu thought for a moment and replied, ”Could you send me the ’Business Elites Under 30’ lists for the last five years?”

”Of course, Mr. Lin.”

The representative quickly sent over a file.

These lists were published annually, so they were readily available through public channels. Asking for them directly was just a way to save himself the trouble.

However, the contact information that Lin Chu *really* wanted was, of course, not included.

’This company has very clear boundaries. They know exactly what they can and cannot do.’

’For example, they only made rankings; they didn’t create organizations like the Unity Association.’

’They just operate independently as a third-party organization.’

”Mr. Lin, I wish you a pleasant day. Best regards for your business endeavors.”
