Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

150: The enemy in the shadows isn’t just strong, it’s extremely strong!Si Nan regretted it immensely. When she went back to get some children’s books for Bai Zhuangzhuang, she had left her phone in the living room. Otherwise, she could have called Luo Sen and asked him to rush back. She was afraid she wouldn’t be able to protect so many people—they were all weak, sick, disabled, or pregnant.

Coincidentally, Song Yuan had also been taken out. Otherwise, with an extra helper, she would have felt more at ease. However, it was just as well; she would see where her limits were today. The probability of such situations occurring in the future was too high, and she couldn’t rely on Luo Sen every single time.

Lately, with Luo Sen around, she didn’t have to worry about anything. She had almost forgotten that she also possessed combat power. She couldn’t continue living in such comfort.

At that moment, Si Nan had already run out through the back door of the kitchen, quickly flitting toward the vicinity of the helicopter.

A good opportunity!

The six armed men who had disembarked had already split up. They weren’t wearing regular military uniforms, and the firearms they carried were a mixed bag. It seemed these people weren’t regular army but rather rogue Mercenaries. They had come down to quickly scout the situation of the villa.

Because the entire villa was currently silent—no human voices, no zombies, and no dogs barking. The only constant sound was the zombies surrounding the outside. One of the men was heading in her direction, and she could faintly hear voices coming from the helicopter:

”Old Man Yao, I told you Yunshu Mountain Villa was safe. The zombies outside can’t break in at all; it’s as solid as a fortress. As for the living people inside—there shouldn’t be too many. The six of them will resolve it quickly.”

”When the virus broke out a month ago, the entire Huangfu family was outside. That day, Old Man Huangfu was auctioning a piece of land and was the first to turn into a zombie; I saw it with my own eyes.”

”The scene was quite grand. All the bodyguards around him were sacrificed at the time, but unfortunately, they still couldn’t protect the old man’s life. Just as he was about to board the helicopter, a zombie grabbed his calf and took a bite, dragging him right off the helicopter.”

That Old Man Deng smiled and said, ”So, Second Young Master Qin, you took his helicopter instead. I like this place very much; it’s much sturdier than my villa.”

”Rest assured, as long as we can take this mountain villa, Second Young Master Qin will get the top credit, and your whole family can move in together.”

”Hahaha, thank you, Old Man Deng. Yes, yes, nothing can be hidden from you. I must say Huangfu Qiankun was ill-fated. He spent a fortune and three years building this top-tier luxury gold-consuming cave, yet he didn’t have time to enjoy it for a single day before being cut off outside. With mountains and seas of corpses everywhere, he couldn’t return even if he wanted to.”

”And the one who laughed last was that waste, Huangfu Qianfeng. Just before the virus broke out, he happened to come back here to discuss business with Huangfu Qiankun, and like a blind cat hitting a dead mouse, he ended up staying here.”

”To monopolize this mountain villa, that guy cut off all contact with the outside world. Fortunately, I was clever and planted an informant here a long time ago.”

”But according to my person, people are constantly coming here trying to attack. Many are envious of this mountain villa and want to take it over to settle down.”

”Old Man Yao, please wait patiently. Once they find my contact, we’ll know if Huangfu Qianfeng is still alive.”

The older, the wiser. Old Man Deng looked around and became suspicious. ”Something’s not right. Even if there aren’t many people in the villa, it shouldn’t be this quiet. Tell everyone to be careful.”

”Yes, everyone be careful, there might be a situation.” More than half of the Mercenaries were still inside the helicopter.

While eavesdropping, Si Nan was attaching a silencer. As a Mercenary approached, she suddenly appeared and shot him in the forehead, killing him on the spot.

She ran out, quickly dragged the corpse into a corner, took his equipment, and then rapidly approached the second person.

Ten minutes later, using her Supernatural Ability to control the ancient saber, a ”shink” sound rang out as she slit the second Mercenary’s throat. She was like a leopard lying in ambush, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Then came the third person—the fourth—the fifth—until the sixth and final one. Si Nan aimed her bullet at the man, but coincidentally, he saw the bullet reflected in a reflective wall. He sidestepped to dodge it, turned around, and pulled the trigger, firing back at Si Nan.

The man was astonished. ”Impressive. For a woman to have such precise marksmanship... who on earth are you?”

”I’m the grand-auntie you can’t afford to provoke.” Si Nan quickly ducked behind a wall, while simultaneously launching her ancient saber with a shout. When she heard the sound of the man knocking the ancient saber away, she suddenly appeared and blew his head off with a single shot.

Over by the helicopter, everyone was shocked to hear the rapid gunfire. ”A firefight?”

The Mercenary captain made a gesture. ”Quickly, you six split up and go take a look. The rest of you, keep your eyes peeled and protect Old Man Deng and Second Young Master Qin.”

”Yes!” the remaining six replied, hurriedly disembarking from the helicopter and spreading out around it to guard the perimeter. Only the Mercenary captain, Old Man Deng, and Second Young Master Qin remained in the cabin.

Two minutes later, the sound of crossfire rang out again. Ten minutes later, none of the twelve people from the two waves had returned.

”This is bad. There are people lying in ambush in this mountain villa, or perhaps some kind of traps. Old Man Deng, Second Young Master Qin, for safety’s sake, I suggest we leave for now and come back next time with enough men.”

The Mercenary captain was very experienced, having fought through blood and rain of bullets many times, but this was the first time he had encountered such a situation.

He knew his men; they were all trained elites, each capable of taking on ten opponents. The terrifying reality was that of these twelve people, not a single one had returned alive to report the situation, nor had a single word been transmitted back.

This situation was eerily terrifying—unprecedented.

One had to realize that they all wore satellite communication equipment on their shoulders. That meant his men didn’t even have time to say a word before being taken out. Decisive, swift, and lethal!

With such a terrifying opponent hiding in the shadows where they couldn’t see, they were rendered blind in broad daylight. This battle couldn’t be won; retreating was the best course of action.

”Is this all the strength your men have?” Old Man Deng’s face looked very unpleasant. He was reluctant to leave this place; his own villa had been turned into a hellscape by his son—he didn’t want to stay there for another minute.

This place was so beautiful, so quiet, and so safe. There wasn’t a single zombie inside, and the high walls were made of special materials; despite so many zombies surrounding the outside, not one had managed to break in.

No matter how many people were inside, they were still just human, made of flesh and blood. Weren’t there still seven people left including the Mercenary captain? Regardless, these people were hired with a large amount of resources; let them all die first, and if they really couldn’t take it, then they would reconsider.

Second Young Master Qin was also anxious. ”Leave? What kind of joke is that? We broke in suddenly and the enemy was unprepared. If we come back, the enemy will definitely be fully prepared, and taking it then will be a hundred times harder than now.”

”Now that we know there are people hiding in ambush, we just need to find them one by one and deal with them. Could they be harder to handle than the zombies outside?”

The Mercenary captain frowned. ”But we aren’t familiar with this place. Charging in blindly again will only lead to a dead end.”

He was stunned. Excluding himself, he had brought eighteen of the top Mercenaries. In less than ten minutes, twelve were dead—that was more than half.

The hidden enemy wasn’t just strong; they were extremely strong!
