Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

125: Those who submit live, those who defy me die.Ge Yue also quickly spoke up, ”Yes, yes, yes, I think so too. We’ll work; you just need to provide food and water.”

Song Yuan frowned as he listened.

Luo Sen’s face darkened upon hearing this. He was itching to kill someone; this was a losing deal with no profit.

”Hahaha—” Si Nan started laughing. ”You two certainly know how to do business. Why would I be so foolish as to support so many people for nothing? You said it yourselves, 275 people is no small number.”

”You know better than anyone how much food and water that many people consume in a day, right?”

”Besides, you’re the ones who need to move around, not me. My yard is so big I can move around as I please. Oh, right, I even have a swing and gym equipment in my yard. Isn’t that better than out here?”

”Go ahead and try ramming your heads against my steel courtyard walls. Forget zombies, even my Armored Vehicle can’t break through them. They’re incredibly safe. So tell me, why would I be so stupid as to support so many people for nothing?”

”If it were you, would you be willing?”

Director Lin and Ge Yue’s hearts sank. Si Nan was telling the truth, and the last of their confidence vanished. ”Then may we ask how we can cooperate? As long as you can provide food, even if it’s just one meal a day, we’re willing to do whatever you ask—provided it doesn’t involve killing people from other Unit S.”

Ge Yue added, ”Unless those people want to wipe us out, we will never kill anyone without cause.”

The two of them made their stance clear.

Hearing this, Si Nan looked at them differently for a second, but only for a second. ”Hmph, with that soft-hearted attitude of yours, you won’t live long. You know about Shi Yong, right? He and a few pieces of scum wiped out three Unit S in a row.”

”You’re lucky he didn’t go to your Unit S to kill and steal food, otherwise you definitely wouldn’t be saying you won’t kill. I’m telling you plainly, being soft-hearted will only hasten your death.”

”We know!” Ge Yue’s voice turned cold. ”But Miss Si, if we were the same kind of indiscriminate killers as Shi Yong, I don’t think you would have met with us today.”

”Please tell us your conditions. As long as we can do it, we don’t want to watch so many innocent people die. If everyone in this Residential Area really dies, leaving only the two of you, Miss Si, what would be the point?”

Director Lin’s tone was calm yet sorrowful. ”If City A is left untended for a long time, it will become a wasteland. Is that what you want to see? You live in City A too, in this Residential Area.”

Almost pleading, the two of them were weak in spirit, looking at Si Nan with eyes full of both despair and hope.

Si Nan bounced her crossed leg and pointed at Director Lin and Ge Yue, her tone cold and decisive. ”It’s not impossible for you to make this deal happen, but what I want isn’t cooperation—it’s submission!”

”You, him, and all the survivors in this Residential Area must willingly submit to me and follow my commands. You must do whatever I tell you to do. Unconditional obedience—that is the first condition.”

”Condition two: From now on, this Residential Area belongs to me, Si Nan. All of your houses, including every blade of grass and every tree in this Residential Area, are mine. This is the entry ticket for all of you to exchange for a long-term meal ticket from me.”

”Of course, as my subjects, you can continue to live in them as usual.”

Si Nan uncrossed her legs and leaned forward from the back of the sofa, getting closer to Director Lin and Ge Yue. ”I’m not afraid to let you know that I originally planned to clear out the Residential Area a week ago. Those who submit live, those who oppose me die. You two had the foresight to come find me early.”

”Since your attitude isn’t bad, I don’t need to drive everyone to extinction. After all, as you said, there’s no point in me living alone. Besides, when I have a baby one day, the Child won’t even have a playmate.”

Director Lin and Ge Yue: They might as well just die of anger.

Luo Sen met Si Nan’s beautiful eyes, his heart racing with excitement. ”Mhm, the Child would be lonely without playmates. How many do you think we should have?”

Everyone, including Song Yuan: You two, enough. Stop showing off your affection here and go make some babies already!

Are you trying to kill us with frustration? From the moment you sat down, not a single word has been pleasant. Every word is like a sharp arrow piercing our hearts—can’t you give us a break!

Si Nan leaned back again. ”I’ll give you five minutes to consider.”

”No need to consider. I represent Unit M in submission.” Director Lin was the first to raise his hand and state his stance.

”Me too. I represent Unit S in submission. I’ll give you everything except my life.” Ge Yue also raised both hands, terrified that Si Nan wouldn’t agree if he was too late.

Si Nan’s beautiful eyes opened playfully as she smiled. ”Are you two sure you don’t want to consider it further?”

”No need to consider, we agree!” The two of them nodded firmly.

Forget the houses; as long as she didn’t take their lives, anything else could be taken. Besides, they could continue living in their own houses—it was just like their houses weren’t theirs anymore and had become rentals.

But in exchange, they got long-term meal tickets. It was already very humane. Only a fool would disagree. If the zombies went crazy and came up again, or if they ran out of their last bit of food, they’d be dead. What use would a house be then?

Director Lin suddenly said, ”Boss, can I ask for the same treatment for my brother-in-law’s Unit O? My brother-in-law, Mao Xin, is the leader of that unit. There are 88 survivors there.”

Si Nan: ”—”

The burden had increased again.

However, Director Lin’s use of ’Boss’ made Si Nan feel quite pleased. ”So you were just testing the waters first.”

”Hehehe, but I successfully tested them, didn’t I?” Director Lin laughed.

Ge Yue spoke up cautiously, ”Boss, as a reward for achieving submission, could you give us some bottled water first? We don’t even dare to drink half a paper cup of water a day.”

”Yes, Boss, give us some,” Director Lin also pleaded.

Si Nan glanced at the two of them, her gaze falling on the time on the phone screen on the coffee table. ”It depends on your performance. I’ll give you half an hour to go back and discuss it.”

”Okay.”

”Right away.”

Director Lin and Ge Yue stood up and left.

Song Yuan sat in their place and asked Si Nan, ”Sister Nan, since you’re taking over the whole Residential Area, why are you still sending us away? They need someone to watch them. Let Big Brother Bai and Ma Bufan go first; I’ll stay behind.”

Si Nan shook her head. ”You’re thinking too simply.”

Song Yuan immediately stood up from the sofa, agitated, to explain, ”No, the three of them—Director Lin and the others—won’t go back on their word. They definitely won’t regret it. I’m willing to bet my life on it.”

”What’s the rush? Sit down.” Si Nan signaled Song Yuan. ”I’m not referring to those three unit leaders, nor the survivors in their three Unit S. I’m referring to the people in the other Unit S.”

”Currently, people from other Unit S in the Residential Area are raiding different Unit S every day. Imagine if they found out that the three Unit S, MOS, had plenty of food—wouldn’t they come to steal it?”

”None of you are safe. Your wife is about to give birth, Bai Zichuan is heavily injured and has two small children, and Ma Bufan and Guan Xiaoning are still young. You all should go to Yunshu Mountain Villa first.”

Si Nan thought for a moment, almost forgetting—
