Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 186: Chapter 183 Little Colorless

This piece of jade rough should have reached the egg-white variety, and its size was almost about three kilograms, making it the most valuable piece Huo Sining had uncovered in the past few days of stone gambling. Huo Sining estimated preliminary that the jadeite in her hands could yield at least six or seven egg-white variety bracelets.

The texture of the egg-white variety was delicate, only slightly inferior to that of the Ice Seed Jadeite, but its water content and texture were better than those of the glutinous variety. Thus, sometimes the egg-white variety was also referred to as the Ice-Glutinous variety.

Though the price of an egg-white variety bracelet couldn’t match that of Ice Seed Jadeite, it was still not low. The price of one egg-white variety bracelet was at least 300,000 yuan, and if sold well, doubling the price would not be a problem. Therefore, the value of this piece of jade rough Huo Sining had was worth at least two million yuan.

Having been reborn once before, Huo Sining had some knowledge about the trends in jadeite. In a few years, when the cost of living soared, the value of jadeite would rise continuously, able to appreciate several times over in just a few years. Coupled with the rarity of high-end jadeite, the piece in her hands could potentially be worth tens of millions in the future.

Unearthing such high-quality jadeite naturally filled Huo Sining with joy. She looked at the precious jadeite in her hand, her hand trembling slightly, taking quite a while to calm down.

Setting the cut jadeite aside, Huo Sining forced herself not to think about it, and continued with the stone gambling.

This time, Huo Sining didn’t pick out the good quality roughs. She reached out to try her luck with a piece of brick-like material, but her gaze shifted and she noticed the old pit black sand skin rough.

Huo Sining remembered buying that rough for 1,700 yuan in the Public Plate Bright Material Area from a young girl. The girl was pitiful, and Huo Sining didn’t mind spending that amount of money to help a child eager to learn.

Even though the rough had no visible grain or pattern and looked very unremarkable, and the young girl had said she found it by the roadside, Huo Sining suddenly felt an impulse to see what was inside by cutting it open.

Having little expectation, Huo Sining was somewhat indifferent to the rough, so she was somewhat inattentive when cutting it.

Despite anticipating it, when she cut several times without seeing any green, Huo Sining felt a bit disappointed.

She thought the rough was a total loss and was about to cut it in half directly through the middle of the stone when her eyes unintentionally glimpsed what seemed to be a transparent chunky pattern on one of the rough’s cut surfaces.

At first, Huo Sining didn’t pay much attention to it, but then suddenly she had a flash of insight, remembering that jadeite had a special variety—”Colorless Transparent Jadeite.”

A thought struck Huo Sining, and she became suspicious of that transparent chunky pattern. She took the rough off the stone cutting machine, soaked it in a bucket, and tested it—sure enough, Azure Pearl reacted.

Huo Sining felt disbelief and amazement. When she started the stone gambling, she was fixedly watching the cut surfaces for any sign of green fog and, after several cuts with no rise in value, she declared the stone dead.

Moreover, the rough was something that a young girl picked up by the roadside, so she really did not take it seriously.

Who could have thought that transparent jadeite could be found inside this rough?

Faced with such an unexpected fortune, Huo Sining was delighted, yet her hands did not slow down, and she started cutting the stone following the transparent pattern.

After several cuts, more than half of the rough was sliced off, and once the white surface skin was removed, an entire piece of Little Colorless transparent jadeite emerged.

On the few facets that were cut, a patch of colorless jade flesh was revealed.

Huo Sining polished the jade roughs, shaving off the white fog at the edges bit by bit, until soon a piece of jadeite no larger than a fist was completely revealed.

Huo Sining cleansed the jade roughs in clear water, and as the water flowed over the jadeite, the entire piece appeared before her eyes like transparent glass.

The purity of the color was nearly natural, and both its transparency and luster were higher than any jadeite Huo Sining had seen before.

The piece of jadeite in front of her didn’t even need polishing or buffing; it was truly crystal clear and perfectly pure with not a single flaw.

Even someone like Huo Sining, who was not knowledgeable about jadeite, could tell that this piece was undoubtedly of the glass type.

Because colorless glass type jadeite has one most distinctive feature: it is visually fluorescent to the naked eye, what connoisseurs call “fluorescence.”

In the jadeite community, there’s a popular saying, “Insiders look at the type, outsiders look at the color.”

Many people first look at the color of jadeite when buying, but in fact, not only the color is important, the type is also crucial.

For the several hundred years that jadeite has been popular, green has been the mainstream. However, as good green jadeite becomes rarer and rarer, many have turned to seeking jadeite of other colors with good types, such as Yellow Jadeite, Blue Water Piao Hua, purple eye, etc.; of course, glass type Little Colorless jadeite is also a fine choice.

Although Little Colorless does not have the bright and vibrant green of green jadeite, stripped of all dazzling brilliance, the clear and pure Colorless Jadeite is like an orchid in a secluded valley, ethereal.

In recent years, more and more collectors have begun to value Colorless Jadeite, making its value gradually increase, to the point where it is competing with other colors of jadeite.

A glass-type Colorless Jadeite Jade Buddha pendant, which might have been bought for a few thousand yuan in the past, now costs tens of thousands.

The piece of Little Colorless jadeite in Huo Sining’s hand, no larger than a fist, was definitely too small to make a bracelet, but it was more than enough to create a pendant or cabochon. Although it wasn’t valued too high, it could still sell for tens of thousands of yuan.

Having bought it for just over a thousand yuan and now seeing it multiply in value many times over, she considered it a huge gain.

Huo Sining truly wanted to laugh out loud in delight. What is good karma, if not this? To unintentionally plant willows and still benefit from it, would this count as the virtuous receiving their reward, and the fools their fortune?

Having unveiled two high-quality pieces of jadeite, Huo Sining was in a very good mood. Seeing that it was already past nine in the evening, she decided not to continue with stone gambling and, after locking the two pieces of jade roughs in the safe, she came out of the basement.

After taking a bath and returning to her bedroom, she prepared for bed, but as she was tidying up her bag on the bed, a plastic box fell out of a side pocket of the bag.

Huo Sining then recalled that her trip to Qingmu Fish Farm today had yielded her not only the Mastiff named Heitan but also seven Golden Lotus Seeds that looked inconspicuous but were quite significant.

However, her attention had previously been focused on the treasure inside Heitan’s stomach, naturally overlooking these seeds. Now that she had dealt with Heitan’s issue, she had some free time and couldn’t help being curious about the seeds.

After examining them and searching for information, Huo Sining could only find a type of terrestrial lotus known as dry lotus, with another name being Golden Lotus, which did not grow in water, and the seeds looked nothing like the large seeds she held in her hands.
