Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 157: Chapter 154 Zhou Zhen’s Conspiracy

Su Jinyuan glanced at the two mobile surveillance devices closely following him and couldn’t help but curl his lips into a cold smirk.

“Master He, could you please get a bid sheet for me?”

“Ah?” Master He was taken aback, not understanding what Su Jinyuan meant.

Su Jinyuan’s eyes darted toward the two trackers, and he smiled as he signaled with his eyes at Master He.

Master He immediately understood and happily ran off to fetch a bid sheet from the work area.

While carefully examining the raw material, Su Jinyuan took out a pen and began to fill out the form.

After filling in all the basic information for number 2547, Su Jinyuan pondered for a moment, as if considering what price would be appropriate to write down.

“Master He, as a seasoned expert, you understand this area better than I do. Do you think this piece of raw material is truly worth gambling on?” Su Jinyuan asked Master He with a smile that was not quite a smile.

Master He saw the two people behind him take a few steps closer, their ears almost pricking up with attention, and he immediately felt a surge of irritation.

“This piece of material weighs over a hundred kilograms. If we can cut out even a quarter of Ice Seed Jadeite, we would make a profit. Although the jade skin on the surface has Sand Holes, the inside is so thick that the likelihood of it yielding an increase in value is at least over sixty percent. As for these fissures, there’s no need to worry; I inspected them carefully yesterday and they do not cut through the Python Band, showing that only the surface is affected. The Jadeite inside should be fine.”

Su Jinyuan nodded, “Then, in your opinion, what would be an appropriate price to put down for this piece of raw material?”

“The starting bid for this material is only three million, but many people are keen on it. If Mr. Su truly wants to acquire it, I believe it would take at least ten to twelve times that amount. This price should be about right.”

Master He deliberately lowered his voice but made a hand gesture.

The two people on the other side didn’t catch all of what Master He said, but the hand gesture was crystal clear to them.

Su Jinyuan nodded, “Alright then, let’s go with twelve times.”

As he spoke, he filled in the bid price on the form and turned around to drop the sheet into the bid box for number 2547’s secret bid.

Immediately, the spirits of the two trackers were lifted; they felt that today’s task was accomplished. They hurried out of the venue and called their employer: “Young Master Zhou, just as you expected, that Mr. Su did go to again examine block number 2547, and he even filled out a bid sheet.”

Zhou Zhen was somewhat surprised to hear this, “So soon? The secret bidding doesn’t end for another week. Are you sure you saw it right?”

The two men hastened to explain, “We saw with our own eyes that he filled out the form and put it into the bid box before we left. It was definitely his membership information, and the price he put down for the Sand Hole Raw Material was close to your estimate.”

“How much?” Zhou Zhen asked curiously.

“Thirty-six million!”

Zhou Zhen couldn’t help but let a cold sneer bubble up in his eyes, “36 million, that’s twelve times the starting price. It seems he really fancies that Sand Hole material. This piece is probably the only one in the entire jade stone public plate worth that price. Is he planning to become this year’s King Biao? Hmph, he surely has great plans, but it’s a pity he met me. He shouldn’t even dream about competing for the title of King Biao this year!”

Zhou Zhen had also looked over the silent bid for 2547 in the morning, and had a lot of confidence in that semi-gambling raw material. There were many people checking out the raw material at the time, and he noticed the expressions of those people, naturally realizing that there were quite a few interested in this lot.

Originally, Zhou Zhen was only fifty percent sure, but after seeing the bid price that Su Jinyuan wrote down, his confidence soared to seventy percent. Now firm in his belief, he felt that this bid was a tremendous opportunity for him and for Zhou’s Jewelry.

Recently, Zhou’s Jewelry had been struggling increasingly due to the pressure from Donghua, almost reaching a state of utter dispiritedness.

Zhou’s Jewelry urgently needed an opportunity to turn things around, but they had been struggling to find a way.

Unexpectedly, a huge pie fell from the sky at the jade stone public plate.

Zhou Zhen was immediately excited. He was full of ambition, not only wanting to snatch the 2547 silent bid from Su Jinyuan’s hands to suppress both Su Jinyuan and Donghua, but also wanting to gloriously become King Biao and take this chance to make Zhou’s Jewelry famous.

However, there was a gap between dreams and reality. Zhou Zhen wished to rejuvenate the Zhou Family’s glory, but his funds were limited. This time when he came to Pingzhou, Father Zhou did not agree to let him handle the raw material purchasing on his own, and the financial power was all in the hands of Master Zhao, who was in charge of procurement.

Zhou Zhen indeed wanted to discuss with his father about participating in the silent bid for 2547, but the problem was, he had lost to Su Qingqing with a 300,000 yuan purchase just two days ago, and in the afternoon, he had also wrecked a raw material worth 800,000 yuan, both of which Master Zhao had reported to Father Zhou.

Father Zhou was already frazzled by company matters recently, and when hearing that his son had recklessly lost over a million yuan in one day in Pingzhou, he flew into a furious rage, declaring that if Zhou Zhen didn’t rein himself in, he would be sent rolling back to S City, and his funds in his card would all be frozen.

Upon hearing his father’s words, Zhou Zhen was immediately indignant, but since his financial source was controlled by his father, he didn’t dare to openly defy him. Outwardly, he agreed to his father’s demands and claimed that everything would be arranged by Master Zhao, but what he really thought privately was beyond Father Zhou’s control.

Of course, Zhou Zhen didn’t think it would be difficult to persuade Master Zhao to buy the silent bid. However, he was well aware that Zhou’s finances were tight at the moment and the procurement budget given to Master Zhao by his father was probably not large.

With that in mind, Zhou Zhen’s gaze fell upon Jin Pangzi, who was not far away.

Jin Pangzi, whose real name was Jin Youtai, was a big fish in Guangcheng. It was by dealing in the jade business that he had made a fortune over the last two years, becoming a well-known nouveau riche in Guangcheng.

The previous day, Zhou Zhen had encountered this man while examining raw materials, and they had a chat. Zhou Zhen quickly discovered that although Jin Youtai looked both fat and ugly, his belly wasn’t full of just fat but also smarts.

This man had a keen eye for the jade stone industry, with insights of his own, and wasn’t the kind to talk big on paper without substance.

Yesterday, Zhou Zhen followed him in a bet on an open bid and returned in the evening to a profitable cut, regaining more than half of the lost hundred plus million instantly, which helped to soothe Zhou Zhen’s frustrated mood considerably.

Zhou Zhen would have liked to take down the 2547 bid all by himself, but the problem was that he simply didn’t have that much money. Even if he could persuade Master Zhao to put all the funds into this one bid, he feared his money would still be insufficient.

Therefore, he had to grit his teeth and decide to consult with Jin Pangzi properly to see if the two of them could collaborate to buy the 2547 lot.

Just like Zhou Zhen had thought, Jin Pangzi was also very interested in the 2547 lot, but he hadn’t managed to recoup his funds recently, and the cash he could put forth was only around 25 million yuan. He was worried about how to raise the money when Zhou Zhen came to him with an opportunity.
