Urban Martial Saint

The cave is very spacious, and inside it is quite empty, with almost nothing placed around.

In such an empty place, if there is anything in the cave, it cannot be hidden. For example, now there’s a shadow in the middle of the cave; although there’s not a hint of light inside, Fat Wang and Ye Qing still saw its existence.

Looking at this shadow, Ye Qing slightly furrowed his brow. The shadow is about two meters high, and although its specific form cannot be seen, Ye Qing could still discern its silhouette. The shadow is a vertical line from top to bottom, not resembling a human shape at all, as you can’t see the distinctions of arms, legs, or feet, only the head position is somewhat narrower. But even the narrow part is quite strange, as this head position is probably less than a palm’s width—how could this be a head?

Due to the strange silhouette of this shadow, Ye Qing couldn’t associate it with a human at all. But standing in the darkness like this, what else could it be?

According to Old Wang Ba’s account, this is the location of the ancestral tombs of the Sword Saint Sect. But, can such a spacious cave really be their tomb? Moreover, there’s not even a sight of a coffin here; where is the shape of a coffin, could Old Wang Ba’s information be wrong?

Although Old Wang Ba showed Ye Qing and his companions the map of the Sword Saint Sect, the map concerning the interior of this cave is not so clear. It only marks the position of the entrance and the exit, and as for the inside, it’s merely a line drawn across, without marking any traps or great formations inside. Hence, the situation of this cave is something Ye Qing and Fat Wang couldn’t anticipate, and they never thought there would be such a large cave inside here.

Seeing Ye Qing silent, Fat Wang glanced at him and said, ”Hey, are you listening to me? Is there someone standing over there?”

”Have you ever seen a person with such a small head?” Ye Qing retorted.

Fat Wang: ”Could it be someone wearing a hat? Wearing a tall hat, so it looks like the head isn’t big?”

Ye Qing was speechless; this dead fatty really knows how to think; actually suggesting someone wore a tall hat, why not say he’s Little Head Daddy?

”Enough, guessing here is pointless for both of us, let’s go over and take a closer look!” Fat Wang said and began to walk forward, but was immediately halted by Ye Qing.

”Follow me!” Ye Qing said in a low voice; he still didn’t know what the thing in the middle was, and Fat Wang rushing over recklessly might face unknown dangers. Ye Qing took the lead, even if there was some danger, his body could withstand the attack.

Having explored many ancient tombs, Ye Qing would not dare be careless in such situations now. Carefully leading the way, he approached the shadow while also cautiously observing the surroundings, guarding against any sudden situations. However, inside this cave, it seemed like there was truly nothing around. Walking up to the shadow, everything remained quiet.

Upon arriving here, they finally saw clearly the shadow. It wasn’t a person at all; it was merely a long sword inserted into the ground. What they thought was the head was actually the sword’s hilt!

”Wow!” Fat Wang exclaimed upon seeing the long sword: ”Wow, what kind of sword is this? How can it be so big? Who can wield this sword?”

Ye Qing was just as shocked as Fat Wang; the handle of the long sword was half a meter long, not to mention the part inserted into the ground, the remaining blade alone was about one and a half meters long. Additionally, there was about half a meter estimated within the ground, which meant this long sword was at least two and a half meters in length.

Ye Qing had seen quite a few swords; he’d seen relatively long swords too. But the longest one he’d seen was about the height of a person; such a sword was already difficult for anyone to wield. But now, this sword was approximately two and a half meters long, which was inevitably shocking. Who could possibly wield such a sword? How tall would that person have to be to manage this long sword?

Ye Qing and Fat Wang walked up to the long sword; Ye Qing circled around it, finding it extraordinarily large. Standing here, its width even surpassed that of an adult. This long sword in the darkness could really make one think it was a person.

”Young Ye, what kind of sword do you think this is?” Fat Wang asked, looking at Ye Qing: ”Even Guan Yu’s Green Dragon Crescent Blade isn’t this long, right?”

”The Green Dragon Crescent Blade belongs to a category of polearms and isn’t the same kind as this short-handled long sword!” Ye Qing carefully examined the sword for a while longer but couldn’t find anything special about it. It seemed there was nothing unique about this sword apart from its length.

However, placing such an unusually long sword within a giant cave, nobody would simply believe it to be an ordinary long sword.

”Check the surroundings, see if there’s any mechanism or something like that.” Ye Qing turned and instructed Fat Wang.

”You don’t have to say, I’ve already checked when I came over. Within ten meters around the sword, there are absolutely no mechanisms.” Fat Wang paused, pointed at the long sword: ”If there really is a mechanism, the only possible place is on this long sword itself!”

”Is that so?” Ye Qing observed the long sword again but still couldn’t discover anything special on it.

”What’s the use of just looking!” Fat Wang approached from behind, grabbed the sword’s hilt, and said: ”You have to try it...”

Fat Wang was cut off as soon as he spoke; his hand on the sword’s hilt, his body suddenly went limp, as if his muscles and bones were drawn out.

”Fat Wang, what’s wrong with you!” Ye Qing rushed over to help Fat Wang up, but the guy seemed to have lost all bone support, unable to stand at all. His mouth was endlessly muttering, but Ye Qing couldn’t understand what he was saying.

”If you can’t explain, then stop talking; rest first!” Ye Qing dragged Fat Wang to the ground beside them and pulled out a Ziyu Chenxiang Pill from his clothing, broke it in half, and stuffed half into Fat Wang’s mouth.

Since learning the effects of the Devouring Demon Flower, Ye Qing dared not casually give someone pieces of it anymore. Fortunately, the Shen Family supplied him plenty of Ziyu Chenxiang Pills, so he had quite a few on hand. Although the pill’s efficacy wasn’t like the Devouring Demon Flower, it was indeed miraculous for rescue purposes.

After Fat Wang took half a Ziyu Chenxiang Pill, he visibly regained some strength, at least not seeming like a useless lump anymore. Ye Qing placed him on the ground and then turned to look at the long sword, frowning tightly.

What’s special about this long sword that Fat Wang collapsed immediately upon touching it?

Ye Qing approached the long sword, examined it closely, but still couldn’t find anything unusual on it, especially the hilt where he paid extra attention but still discovered nothing.

This situation greatly puzzled Ye Qing; Fat Wang’s limp state was a fact, indicating there must be something wrong with this sword. Yet, simply using eyes, he couldn’t see the sword’s problem. Could it be that the mechanism on this sword must be triggered by touch?

Pondering slightly, Ye Qing slowly extended his right hand toward the sword’s hilt. Fat Wang lost out when he grabbed the hilt earlier, and Ye Qing wanted to see what problem this long sword might have.

Not far away, Fat Wang saw Ye Qing reach to grab the sword’s hilt and began to frantically mumble, but the guy still couldn’t shout nor gesture, only muttering; Ye Qing couldn’t understand what he wanted to convey.

”Don’t worry, I won’t have a problem!” Ye Qing replied to Fat Wang and focused on observing the long sword for any changes.

Ye Qing dared to boldly grab this sword because his body was invulnerable to blades and spears, even if the sword had a mechanism, it’s unlikely it could harm him. After all, the power of Buddhist and Taoist Magic within him was no minor thing.

Under Fat Wang’s anxious gaze, Ye Qing put his hand on the sword’s hilt. As soon as Ye Qing’s hand touched the hilt, he clearly felt a suction force coming from it, seemingly absorbing the power from Ye Qing’s body. The suction was so strong that it seemed ready to pull all power out from Ye Qing’s body.

Ye Qing was startled and attempted to let go, but it was too late, as the suction was overwhelming and rapid. In an instant, it absorbed all the power from Ye Qing’s body. But, as these powers were absorbed, the Buddhist and Taoist Magic within Ye Qing also erupted simultaneously, seemingly alarmed and rushing towards the suction.

Perhaps this was the first time these three forces achieved consensus; usually, they opposed each other. But now, they simultaneously crushed towards the suction, aiming at it. In an instant, they dispersed the suction, and Ye Qing’s originally absorbed powers quickly returned.

The entire process happened in a moment, but Ye Qing clearly felt the changes within his body.

That suction was incredibly strong, able to drain all powers instantly. No wonder Fat Wang went limp on the ground, surely because his power was siphoned away, leaving no strength within him. Imagine, if Ye Qing didn’t have the three forces within him to resist the suction, he might have already been limp on the ground like Fat Wang just now.
