Urban Martial Saint

The Bloody Monk took a deep breath, looked up at the distance, and said in a deep voice, ”If possible, help me find White-haired Ding San, help him eliminate the killing intent in his heart, and turn him back into a normal person!”

”Ah?” Ye Qing was startled for a moment. The Bloody Monk’s words truly surprised him greatly.

”Sect Leader...” Black Asura said anxiously, ”If you let White-haired Ding San become a normal person, wouldn’t you lose the bet with Shijia?”

The Bloody Monk sighed, his face unexpectedly showing some rare compassion, and said softly, ”Actually, we shouldn’t have made this bet. Due to our argument, an innocent person has been led down a path of no return!”

Everyone was surprised by the Bloody Monk’s words; no one expected him to say such things. It seemed that the Bloody Monk had changed a lot, no longer the slayer who spoke of killing.

Ye Qing was truly happy for the Bloody Monk; he took a deep breath and said, ”Sect Leader, rest assured, I will definitely help you find White-haired Ding San and find a way to eliminate the killing intent in his heart, to turn him back into an ordinary person!”

The Bloody Monk nodded slowly, looked at the Sha Men people, sighed heavily, and without saying much more, turned and left the room directly. The Sha Men people hurriedly chased after him, but when they ran out of the room, the Bloody Monk had already disappeared.

Just then, a person walked in at the courtyard gate—it was Nalan Jingwei. Seeing the Sha Men people standing at the gate, Nalan Jingwei said in amazement, ”Where is the Bloody Robe Sect Leader going? Why did he run so fast that I couldn’t catch him!”

No one answered Nalan Jingwei’s question, although they temporarily lived with the Nalan Family, it didn’t mean they fully trusted Nalan Jingwei. They mainly stayed here to oppose the Wanyan Family, due to a shared purpose in temporary cooperation. But Nalan Jingwei, being such a cunning figure, of course, would not be considered one of their own.

”The Bloody Robe Sect Leader just received information on the whereabouts of an enemy and went to pursue them!” Ye Qing replied casually, then asked, ”Does the Prince have any business?”

”Oh, right.” Nalan Jingwei said, ”I came for you. We just received news; the Wanyan Family has already declared war against the Sword Saint Sect!”

Upon hearing this, the people in the room became spirited, and Ye Qing excitedly asked, ”How did it turn out? Between the Wanyan Family and the Sword Saint Sect, who is prevailing?”

”That I don’t know!” Nalan Jingwei shrugged and said, ”The location of the Sword Saint Sect is quite peculiar, for over three hundred years, no one knows where they reside. We got this information from a person who once sought refuge with the Wanyan Family and returned injured. From what he tells, it seems the Sword Saint Sect’s strength is not below that of the Wanyan Family today. If the Wanyan Family didn’t use those Long-toothed Rats, or the scabbard of the Minghong Knife, then it would be really hard to say who wins this battle!”

Everyone was startled, looking at each other, each with a face of shock. The current strength of the Wanyan Family is such that they have taken in seventy percent of Huaxia’s masters, with most members of the World Alliance, Twelve Green Halls, and Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance under their command, showing just how strong the Wanyan Family truly is. Under these circumstances, the strength of the Sword Saint Sect can match the Wanyan Family, making people wonder how strong the Sword Saint Sect really is, having hidden for hundreds of years, how have they gathered so many masters?

Ye Qing paused briefly, looking at Nalan Jingwei, and asked, ”What does the Prince mean?”

Ye Qing knew that Nalan Jingwei came to discuss the matter, implying he had a plan in mind.

Nalan Jingwei didn’t keep it a mystery; he looked at Ye Qing and others and said, ”Alliance Leader Ye, I believe this is a great opportunity!”

”What opportunity?” Ye Qing asked.

Nalan Jingwei took a deep breath and said, ”To attack the Wanyan Family, frontal and rear assault, completely breaking the Wanyan Family!”

Upon hearing this, the group began to chatter; this is no small matter. With the current strength of the Wanyan Family, attacking them seems a bit too bold, doesn’t it?

Seeing the group’s expressions turning unfavourable, Nalan Jingwei quickly added, ”The Wanyan Family in Shenchuan City has sent its elite to the Sword Saint Sect for the final decisive battle. Shenchuan City is practically a ghost town right now. Although Wanyan Hongsheng guards the Wanyan Family, after the Panlong Valley battle, Alliance Leader Ye and others almost wiped out Wanyan Hongsheng’s subordinates, so how many Peak Masters can the Wanyan Family still have? If we attack Shenchuan City now, we could certainly take the Wanyan Family.”

This indeed caused the group to nod; this would be the optimal time to attack the Wanyan Family.

”After we capture the Wanyan Family, we can then hurry to the Sword Saint Sect, attacking the Wanyan Family from behind. This way, we complete a pincer maneuver with the Sword Saint Sect, trapping the Wanyan Family in the middle, perhaps even defeating the Wanyan Family in one fell swoop!” Nalan Jingwei paused, looked at everyone, and said, ”This battle is crucial. If we can defeat the Wanyan Family, we will no longer have to worry about them. On the contrary, if we miss this opportunity, really letting the Wanyan Family defeat the Sword Saint Sect, then even if we flee to the Ends of the Earth, we cannot escape the Wanyan Family’s pursuit. I don’t think I need to explain this; everyone should be very clear about it!”

Everyone took a deep breath; Nalan Jingwei’s words were not false. The Wanyan Family’s ambitions, to attack the Sword Saint Sect, show their great aspiration. If they defeat the Sword Saint Sect, others would be even less able to fend them off. Then, not to mention the current united strength, even if it were to expand further, three or five times, it wouldn’t be enough against the Wanyan Family.

Ye Qing slightly furrowed his brows; he could tell Nalan Jingwei came to convince them to counter the Wanyan Family. Nalan Jingwei suddenly becoming so interested in this matter, what’s the real reason? Ye Qing knows Nalan Jingwei’s character, his ambition is not much smaller than the Wanyan Family, albeit lesser in strength. Nalan Jingwei persuading them to fight against the Wanyan Family is not just to eliminate the Wanyan Family’s threat; he wants to use this opportunity to establish his own status and win the group’s trust. If they truly defeat the Wanyan Family, he would become a hero, and perhaps the Nalan Family could rise with this opportunity. Nalan Jingwei is cunning, but his thoughts can’t escape Ye Qing’s eyes.

Nonetheless, Ye Qing did not expose Nalan Jingwei. In fact, the matters Nalan Jingwei mentioned were also on Ye Qing’s mind. Even if they can’t defeat the Wanyan Family, this opportunity allows them to weaken their strength first, which is beneficial. As for Nalan Jingwei’s ambition, although his plans are well-made, others are not fools, naturally won’t be manipulated by him.

”I think Prince Nalan is right!” Ye Qing nodded and openly supported Nalan Jingwei, which made Nalan Jingwei very excited, nodding vigorously towards Ye Qing.

”Though Prince Nalan’s plan is good, the key issue is, can we defeat the Wanyan Family?” Helian Tiehua came down from the upstairs room and said solemnly, ”The Wanyan Family has two major weapons, the scabbard of the Minghong Knife, and Long-toothed Rats. If these aren’t resolved, even if we cooperate with the Sword Saint Sect for a frontal and rear pincer maneuver, we cannot defeat the Wanyan Family!”

”That’s the issue.” Nalan Jingwei sighed with a sense of loss and said, ”Since the Sword Saint Sect dare to fight the Wanyan Family, I believe they have their own measures. I don’t know whether the Sword Saint Sect can withstand these two weapons of the Wanyan Family, but I do know, this is our only chance right now. If we miss this chance, regretting later won’t matter; it might be too late. Therefore, I think it’s worth the risk, even risking our lives if needed. Otherwise, if we fall into the hands of the Wanyan Family, ha, you all have seen my previous predicament!”

At these words, everyone was visibly changed. Nalan Jingwei being controlled by the Heart Demon Technique, turning into a Puppet Fighter, this incident still scares them.

”I can tell you all, within the Wanyan Family, those of us controlled by the Heart Demon Technique are certainly not few. The Wanyan Family will not trust anyone lacking the surname Wanyan, they even hesitate to trust those with it!” Nalan Jingwei looked at everyone, and said, ”Further, we’ve resisted the Wanyan Family until now, proving we will not defect to them. Considering our circumstances now, what will the Wanyan Family do? Hmph, kill us for good, or turn us into puppets, sacrificing our will and working for them until death, with our corpses controlled by the Secret Technique of the Corpse Ghost Dragon, that’s the final result!”

Indeed, Nalan Jingwei’s words are very persuasive. Everyone looked at one another with some concern on their faces, worrying about their future outcomes.

”Thus, regardless of the outcome of this battle, regardless of our odds, we must fight!” Nalan Jingwei declared loudly, ”Win, and we might be legends in history, taking control of our destiny. Lose, and it only hastens the inevitable, but at least we fought!”
