Urban Martial Saint

Yelu Ying’s words suddenly revitalized the originally dejected members of the Yelu Family.

According to the two stubborn elders, if they couldn’t protect the family’s secret, then all would have to die here to ensure the secret wouldn’t be leaked. But now, Yelu Ying suddenly said she had a way to protect the family secret, which was tantamount to saving everyone’s lives, naturally giving everyone a feeling of rebirth.

The two Tomb Guarding Elders frowned, and one looked at Ye Qing, asking in a deep voice, ”Do you think Ye Qing would marry you?”

Huangfu Ziyu’s face turned cold, and she angrily glared at the Tomb Guarding Elder. From her perspective, this elder was persistently forcing Ye Qing to marry Yelu Ying, which greatly displeased her.

Yelu Ying glanced at Ye Qing, smiled faintly, and said, ”I never said I wanted Brother Ye to marry me!”

”Then you mean to kill Ye Qing?” the Tomb Guarding Elder asked in a deep voice, ”Either Ye Qing dies, or the entire Yelu Family dies, there’s no other choice. Yelu Ying, don’t think you can play tricks with me; this is the ancestral injunction, no one can change it!”

”Why must it come to killing?” Yelu Ying sighed and said, ”You mentioned earlier that as long as Brother Ye becomes a member of the Yelu Family, the secret wouldn’t be considered leaked, right?”

The Tomb Guarding Elder frowned, not understanding what Yelu Ying meant, but he nodded and said, ”That’s correct. However, he already said he wouldn’t marry you, so he can’t be considered a member of the Yelu Family!”

”Yet to become a member of the Yelu Family, one doesn’t necessarily have to marry, right?” Yelu Ying turned to Ye Qing and suddenly said, ”Brother Ye, I have always wanted a brother. Can you be my brother?”

”What?” Ye Qing was stunned; Yelu Ying’s words left him speechless.

Everyone else was also taken aback, but Huangfu Ziyu was the first to react and smiled. Originally, she was wondering whether Yelu Ying was still attempting to force Ye Qing into marriage. Now, upon hearing Yelu Ying’s proposal, she understood Yelu Ying’s intent. Yelu Ying had no intention of forcing Ye Qing into marriage, but wanted to recognize Ye Qing as her brother. This way, Ye Qing, as Yelu Ying’s brother, could be considered part of the Yelu Family. Yelu Ying’s method was certainly clever and fitting. At least, she didn’t have to force Ye Qing into marriage, which made Huangfu Ziyu very pleased.

Others gradually understood. Ye Qing, seeing Yelu Ying’s smile, also comprehended her meaning and promptly laughed, ”If Miss Yelu doesn’t mind, Mr. Ye would also like a sister like you!”

”Then it’s settled!” Yelu Ying immediately walked over to Ye Qing, laughing, ”From now on, you are my brother. Ms. Ziyu is my sister-in-law!”

”Giggle giggle...” Huangfu Ziyu chortled first, reaching out to grab Yelu Ying and pulling her close, saying, ”From now on, you are my sister too. If anyone dares bully you, tell me; I’ll help you seek revenge!”

”Thank you, sister!” Yelu Ying replied with a smile while holding onto Huangfu Ziyu and Ye Qing’s arms. She turned to the two stunned Tomb Guarding Elders and said, ”Elders, how do you feel now? Brother Ye is now my brother and can be considered part of the Yelu Family. This way, our family’s secret is not considered leaked, correct?”

”You... You...” One Tomb Guarding Elder gaped but didn’t know how to refute. To them, for Ye Qing to become a member of the Yelu Family, he would have to marry Yelu Ying. Who would have thought, Yelu Ying would so unconventionally recognize a brother instead. Recognizing a brother, in a broader sense, could truly be considered as family. But the problem is, the emotional bond isn’t as strong as through marriage.

”This doesn’t count!” Another Tomb Guarding Elder stated angrily, ”You’re recognizing a brother, there’s no blood relationship!”

”Oh, so according to you, if they were to marry, they’d have a blood relationship?” Yin Xianzi retorted coldly.

Tomb Guarding Elder: ”That’s different; marriage makes them spouses, the feelings are different!”

”Are you being troublesome? There’s no blood relation in both cases; what’s the difference?” Yin Xianzi glared, ”You wanted Ye Qing to become part of the Yelu Family, now that he finally is part of the Yelu Family, you keep nitpicking. Are you deliberately trying to drive people to death? Are you unhappy until all Yelu Family members are dead?”

”This is a Yelu Family matter, not for an outsider to interfere!” the Tomb Guarding Elder erupted again.

At this point, a Yelu Family woman spoke softly, ”Elder, I think the lady’s approach is correct, it doesn’t violate the family’s ancestral teachings!”

”Saying that, are you questioning me?” the Tomb Guarding Elder angrily retorted.

The woman said, ”I don’t mean it that way, I just think that the eldest young lady hasn’t violated the family’s will. On the contrary, Elder, you seem to want to ignore the family’s will completely!”

”Third Sister is right, even if you are the elders of the family, you can’t be so unreasonable!”

”Exactly, Ye is now the elder brother of the eldest young lady, which means he is one of us in the Yelu Family. Telling him this secret doesn’t count as telling an outsider!”

”The family’s will was left mainly to prevent the family’s secrets from falling into the hands of those with ill intentions. However, Ye is not such a person at all. Moreover, Ye has saved our Yelu Family so many times. Without Ye, our Yelu Family would have been gone long ago, so there’s no point in talking about preserving the family secret. I think this is just right!”

”Yes, Ye is the elder brother of the eldest young lady, he’s part of our family, there’s nothing wrong with that!”

The members of the Yelu Family began discussing among themselves; in fact, they were very dissatisfied with the two Tomb Guarding Elders. However, these two elders had high seniority and had the family will as command, so previously no one dared to oppose them. But now, people couldn’t hold back any longer and began to speak out against them.

The two Tomb Guarding Elders were furious, but they couldn’t out-argue so many people. After much debate, these stubborn old men finally surrendered.

”Fine, fine, times have changed, times have changed!” One of the Tomb Guarding Elders sighed several times, looked at Yelu Ying, and said in a deep voice, ”Yelu Ying, since you’re determined to exploit a loophole in the family’s will, we won’t say anything more. This matter is settled then.”

At these words, the members of the Yelu Family cheered, and Ye Qing also breathed a sigh of relief. Damn, it’s been such a hassle dealing with these two stubborn old men, almost unbearable. It’s really not easy to have solved this matter. However, getting to this point, he finally felt relieved. If this wasn’t resolved, it would always hang over him, so resolving it this way was really perfect.

”Thank you, Elders!” Yelu Ying bowed to the two Tomb Guarding Elders.

”No need to say such nonsense to us!” One Elder said in a deep voice, ”Let me warn you first, this is the path you’ve chosen. If anything unexpected happens in the future, anything unworthy of our ancestors happens, it won’t be related to us at all.”

These two Tomb Guarding Elders clearly weren’t satisfied with this matter, hence saying such things. But no one paid them any mind; as long as these old stubborn men could be persuaded to recognize the matter, nothing else was important.

”I guess now everyone’s satisfied, right?” Old Wang Ba walked over with a grin, who knows when he slipped in. It seemed like he had listened to the whole process clearly.

Seeing Old Wang Ba, the two Tomb Guarding Elders were obviously angry and turned their heads away from him. After all, the matter with Ye Qing was initiated by Old Wang Ba, deliberately leading Ye Qing to save them and then having them tell Ye Qing the Yelu Family’s secret. So, in their eyes, Old Wang Ba was entirely at fault for the situation reaching this point.

Ye Qing looked at Old Wang Ba and gnawed his teeth in anger. This old guy knew all this beforehand but kept it hidden, forcing them to hear the Yelu Family’s secret. The result? This thing almost couldn’t be resolved. Luckily, Yelu Ying had a quick wit and thought of this method, solving the problem. Otherwise, a few lives would have surely been lost over this.

Seeing that no one was paying attention to him, Old Wang Ba felt somewhat awkward, waving the fish he caught, he said, ”Hungry or not? How about I make some sashimi for you?”

Still, no one paid him any attention. Ye Qing looked at the members of the Yelu Family and said, ”You all must be tired too, how about this, take a rest here for now. After our vehicles are repaired, we’ll leave here.”

At this moment, a man from the Yelu Family suddenly said in a low voice, ”Ye, can we eat first?”

”Yeah, we haven’t eaten for more than a day now.” Another woman from the Yelu Family immediately added.

”These Ninjas didn’t give you food?” Ye Qing was surprised, as he hadn’t thought of this at all.

”Don’t even mention it!” Old Wang Ba quickly said, ”These bastards, after catching us yesterday, were afraid of being tracked, so they rushed the whole way without stopping. I had to talk them into coming here for a meal. But before we could eat, we started fighting with Brother Chen, otherwise, why do you think I was so eager to fish?”

Ye Qing was speechless, it seemed the Yelu Family’s group was indeed very hungry. He immediately arranged for the innkeeper to prepare a table of food, and once the Yelu Family members had eaten, the vehicles were repaired. The group didn’t linger there further and directly drove away.
