Urban Martial Saint

Lin Tianyou chuckled softly. He knew that Huangfu Ziyu was just joking with him. Still, her words did lighten his mood, easing some of his previous emotions.

”The family is already so wealthy, what’s the point in earning even more money? I might as well learn something challenging!” Lin Tianyou replied with a smile.

”Is studying medicine challenging?” Huangfu Ziyu questioned.

”It’s more challenging than learning martial arts...” Lin Tianyou thought for a moment and said, ”If you’re not good at martial arts, you can keep learning. But there are many diseases that even the whole world might never conquer in a lifetime.”

”The way you say it, studying medicine does seem pretty challenging!” Huangfu Ziyu pouted and grabbed Ye Qing’s hand, saying, ”But I can’t stand learning such soft things; I’d rather learn martial arts for its directness!”

Lin Tianyou smiled faintly without speaking. Amidst their chatter, the vehicle had already entered the villa’s courtyard. As soon as the vehicle stopped, Lin Tianyou was slightly taken aback and said in wonder, ”Why have so many people come?”

Ye Qing and the others saw it too; there were now a dozen cars parked in the villa courtyard, and several more outside, all gathered around their villa. It was certain they were all here for their family.

Lin Tianyou’s family wasn’t large; normally, including the maid, there were only six or seven people. They didn’t have many cars either — Lin Tianyou’s mother couldn’t drive, only he and his father could. Having this many cars was unprecedented; what exactly was going on?

The three were rather surprised and were about to get out of the car when another vehicle drove into the courtyard. They focused on the vehicle and saw it was a Rolls-Royce, which, even in the luxury-car-laden Shenchuan City, was considered an absolute luxury car. In Shenchuan City, not many people sat in such cars.

Looking at the Rolls-Royce, Lin Tianyou was slightly stunned and whispered, ”It’s my uncle!”

Ye Qing knew that Lin Tianyou’s uncle was Lin Zhen Nan, the current chairman of Lin Corporation. Lin Zhen Nan, reputed as Shenchuan City’s richest man, held absolute authority in the Lin family. However, Lin Zhen Nan was usually busy; why would he suddenly come to Lin Tianyou’s house? And what’s with all the cars? What exactly was happening here?

As the three wondered, Lin Zhen Nan’s Rolls-Royce had already parked in the courtyard. Lin Zhen Nan got off the car, while another person helped wheelchair down. In the wheelchair sat Lin Zhen Nan’s mother, Old Lady Lin, who was also Lin Huayu’s grandmother.

Once down, Lin Zhen Nan directly wheeled Old Lady Lin into the villa, paying no attention to Ye Qing and the others’ car. Judging by their expressions, they seemed anxious. What exactly happened at Lin Tianyou’s house to warrant such urgency?

”Something must have happened at home!” Lin Tianyou hurriedly opened the car door and rushed out, exclaiming, ”I have to go and check immediately!”

”Don’t rush like that!” Ye Qing quickly called out to Lin Tianyou. He glanced at Lin Tianyou’s house and said in a low voice, ”Your family holds a significant position in Shenchuan City, and your parents have always been amicable without any enemies. At a time like this, it’s unclear what’s happening. If someone is deliberately targeting your family, rushing in might alert them!”

”Then what do you plan to do?” Lin Tianyou asked.

”Don’t reveal our identities yet. Let’s sneak in and see what’s happening!” Ye Qing suggested.

”This...” Lin Tianyou considered it for a moment and agreed with Ye Qing’s words. Along with Huangfu Ziyu, the three tidied up, and Ye Qing brought out the mustache he previously used for disguise, giving some to Lin Tianyou to stick on his face. This way, their appearance changed significantly, making it hard for others to recognize them.

As for Huangfu Ziyu, she couldn’t dress up like Ye Qing and Lin Tianyou. She could only wear sunglasses to cover her eyes. However, these glasses couldn’t hide her rare beauty; instead, they added an intriguing allure to her.

The three prepared, choosing not to enter through the main door, but through a side door. After all, this was Lin Tianyou’s home, and he was very familiar with it, so entering was easy.

The trio entered the living room, where they could hear a commotion from afar. It was evident that a few people were arguing.

Lin Tianyou frowned slightly. He knew his parents’ personalities wouldn’t lead to casual arguments. That there were disputes at home was mysterious.

Ye Qing waved to Lin Tianyou, signaling not to move hastily, and the three quietly approached the crowd.

About twenty people were standing in the living room. At this moment, Lin Zhen Nan brought Old Lady Lin over as well. Upon their arrival, everyone stopped arguing and turned towards them. Lin Zhen Nan’s authority in Shenchuan City was significant, making the crowd settle down at his presence.

”Big brother!” Lin Zhen Nan came over and nodded to a gray-haired man. This man was Lin Tianyou’s father, Lin Zhen Nan’s cousin Lin Yongchuan. Compared to the sharp-edged Lin Zhen Nan, Lin Yongchuan appeared very low-key, dressed simply with graying hair. If he walked on the street, probably no one would recognize that he also has billions in assets.

”Zhen Nan!” Lin Yongchuan came over, looked at Old Lady Lin, and respectfully said, ”Third Aunt!”

”Hmm!” Old Lady Lin slowly nodded, looked at everyone in the room, frowned slightly, and said, ”I heard Lao Qi and their whole family came to your place. What exactly happened? How come they’re arguing?”

”Third Sister-in-law, you came just in time!” A woman in her sixties immediately walked over to Old Lady Lin and said, ”You’re here just in time to judge for us. My Duo’er and Tianyou, their marriage has long been arranged, everyone knows that, right?”

Upon hearing this, Ye Qing secretly glanced at Lin Tianyou beside him and whispered, ”You even have a childhood engagement?”

Lin Tianyou helplessly said, ”That was when I was a kid, it’s all canceled now!”

”Your family is really interesting!” Ye Qing curled his lips, looking at the old woman. For some reason, looking at this old woman, Ye Qing always felt an indescribable feeling; somehow, she just gave off a sharp and mean vibe.

”That’s all in the past!” Old Lady Lin glared at the old woman and said, ”Duo’er and Tianyou’s marriage, wasn’t it already canceled?”

The old woman immediately said, ”What kind of cancellation is that? It was their unilateral cancellation, we haven’t agreed yet!”

”Seventh Aunt, that’s not right!” Lin Yongchuan anxiously said, ”What do you mean it was a unilateral cancellation by our family? Don’t forget, we had a reason for canceling the engagement between Tianyou and Duo’er!”

The old woman looked a bit embarrassed but quickly said, ”No matter what you say, no matter what mistakes my Duo’er made in the past. The past is the past. Besides, my Duo’er is now pregnant with your Tianyou’s child, how can you not acknowledge it?”

”What is happening?” Lin Zhenchuan immediately frowned, they didn’t even know about this. This is no small matter; if Duo’er is really pregnant with Lin Tianyou’s child, this is going to be a big issue!

Ye Qing also looked at Lin Tianyou, who was also stunned, clearly not knowing what was going on.

”You can’t deny this now!” The old woman pointed at Lin Yongchuan’s nose and shrieked, ”Forget everything else, but about the child, what do you say we do?”

Lin Yongchuan’s face flushed red, he took a deep breath and said, ”Seventh Aunt, whether this child is Tianyou’s isn’t certain yet, how can you be so sure it’s my family Tianyou’s child?”

”What do you mean by that!” The old woman immediately shouted, ”Are you implying that my Duo’er is blackmailing Lin Tianyou? Do you mean to say that this child belongs to someone else and we’re purposely coming here to extort you? Huh? Is that how you talk? The child is born and now you’re trying to avoid responsibility?”

”Seventh Aunt, don’t say it so harshly. Whether the child is ours needs to be verified!” At this moment, a woman came over and said, ”We didn’t say your Duo’er is blackmailing Tianyou, but don’t forget how your Duo’er broke off the engagement with Tianyou back then!”

Huangfu Ziyu looked at Lin Tianyou and softly asked, ”Hey, how did you two end the engagement? It sounds like your family is very angry about it?”

Lin Tianyou coughed twice but didn’t answer Huangfu Ziyu’s question.

”Could you stop bringing up that matter!” The old woman shrieked, ”The past is the past, is it interesting to keep bringing it up?”

”Just because you don’t want me to mention it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen!” The woman coldly said, ”Back then, your Duo’er wasn’t even eighteen and already didn’t know whose illegitimate child she was carrying. People didn’t acknowledge it, secretly went to abort it, but got found out, so we canceled the engagement. We needed your consent to cancel the engagement for this reason?”

After hearing this, Ye Qing and Huangfu Ziyu immediately understood. The two exchanged a glance, and when they looked at the old woman again, there was already a hint of displeasure in their eyes. This old woman was like a shrew, mentioning nothing about her granddaughter’s mistake and didn’t want others to mention it either. With such a big mistake, she wanted people to just move on, how is that possible?

When these words came out, the room instantly froze a bit. Many people didn’t know what happened back then, but after hearing this woman, even those who originally sided with the old woman, their gaze towards her showed obvious displeasure.
