Urban Martial Saint

After this group of Japanese ninjas arrived at the platform, they obviously made some discoveries and stopped there.

”Why is there such a platform here?” the Third Elder asked softly, looking around, and whispered, ”This place should be the location of the Tomb of the Ghost Valley Master, right?”

The Great Elder didn’t speak. He picked up the Gold Silk Armor and inspected it closely, hoping it could provide some guidance. However, the Gold Silk Armor stayed completely silent; since reaching the mountain, it hadn’t given any directional guidance, as if it had completed its historical task.

Without the guidance of the Gold Silk Armor, the Great Elder dared not make any assumptions. He looked around again, then at the platform’s position, pondered for a moment, and said in a low voice, ”Go check the mountain wall and observe carefully to see if there are any patterns. According to the method left by Ancestor Chen Tuan, after placing 108 Famed Instruments, the power of these instruments will be drawn into the mountain wall’s crevices, thus opening the Tomb of the Ghost Valley Master. If there are patterns, then this is the place!”

Following the Great Elder’s instructions, everyone hurried to the mountain wall and began searching carefully.

Ye Qing and Fu Qingping hid far away, so naturally, they couldn’t hear what the Great Elder was saying. But seeing them searching, Ye Qing felt somewhat relieved. Fortunately, these people also noticed the special nature of this platform and began their search, which played right into Ye Qing’s hands.

While this group was searching, Fu Qingping suddenly tapped Ye Qing and quietly pointed into the distance. Ye Qing followed Fu Qingping’s direction and saw a head sticking out from behind a large rock below the platform, secretly observing the Japanese ninjas on it. Ye Qing saw clearly that the person was from the Church, indicating that the people from the Church had caught up.

To be honest, having reached this point, Ye Qing still hadn’t seen any action from the Japanese ninjas, which puzzled him greatly. Logically, the Japanese ninjas must know someone was tracking them. Why hadn’t they set traps for those following them but instead led them to the Tomb of the Ghost Valley Master? What did it mean? Could it be that these Japanese ninjas were so confident they could defeat the experts from the Church behind them?

With doubts in his mind, Ye Qing didn’t reveal himself but stayed hidden, watching carefully. The mountain was enveloped in darkness, so while he hid among it, no one could spot him unless encountering a master like Fu Qingping, whose every move is under his control; it was otherwise impossible to discover him.

The ninjas below didn’t notice their surroundings. After searching the mountain wall for a while, they finally had results. A ninja hurried to the Great Elder’s side and whispered, ”There are indeed patterns!”

”Then this is the place!” The Great Elder was overjoyed, waved his hand, and said, ”Begin arranging!”

The group of ninjas had been waiting and, upon receiving the Great Elder’s order, immediately took out the instruments they carried and started arranging them on the platform.

Ye Qing quickly widened his eyes, carefully observing how these people arranged the Famed Instruments. Although he knew that 108 instruments were needed to open the Tomb of the Ghost Valley Master, he did not know how to arrange them. Now he could finally see the method to arrange these instruments.

The ninjas seemed well-trained, skillfully placing the instruments. In less than five minutes, all 108 instruments were arranged. Watching from the mountain, Ye Qing saw that the arrangement appeared chaotic and lacked regularity. He couldn’t fathom why they were arranged this way; probably, this was the method left by Ancestor Chen Tuan.

Ye Qing originally thought the 108 instruments had to be arranged according to some Taoist Sect formation positions. Seeing the result left him speechless. This irregular arrangement method was impossible to figure out without the method left by Ancestor Chen Tuan.

Once the 108 instruments were arranged, the ninjas immediately stepped back, turning their heads to look at the Great Elder.

”Great Elder, everything is set. Can we open the Tomb of the Ghost Valley Master now?” the Third Elder asked softly.

”Hold on, what’s the rush!” The Great Elder smiled slightly, turned his head to look around, and called out loudly, ”Ye Qing, Mr. Ye, since you’re here, why not come out and have a chat?”

Ye Qing was taken aback. Did the Great Elder actually discover him? Impossible, right? He was with Fu Qingping; what skill did this Great Elder have to discover Fu Qingping?

Filled with doubt, Ye Qing didn’t reveal himself but stayed hidden, observing the Great Elder. After a while, Ye Qing figured it out. The Great Elder shouted his name without targeting any specific direction, meaning he hadn’t discovered Ye Qing, just speculated he was there, hence the shout.

This confirmed Ye Qing’s suspicion that the Japanese ninjas knew he was here. However, it seemed they didn’t know the Church people were there as well, or he wouldn’t have called out to Ye Qing alone.

Seeing that the Great Elder was merely speculating, Ye Qing simply pretended not to hear. After all, if it was just speculation, the Great Elder wouldn’t know if he had really arrived. Why would Ye Qing be intimidated by a mere shout?

Calling out a few more times and noticing no movement around, the Great Elder’s expression darkened somewhat, ”Mr. Ye, I know you’re already here. A real man, why skulk around?”

Ye Qing continued pretending he didn’t hear him. Since the Church had yet to make a move, if he revealed himself now, it would be like letting the Church reap the rewards. If these Japanese ninjas really had some trap, going down now would be dangerous, wouldn’t it?

”It seems Mr. Ye isn’t very keen to chat with me!” The Great Elder laughed self-deprecatingly and said, ”Of course, meeting for the first time under these circumstances, it’s normal that Mr. Ye doesn’t want to chat with me. However, I still want Mr. Ye to take a look at this item and then decide whether or not to talk to me!”

The Great Elder spoke while taking a longbow from the bag on his back and holding it up high.

Seeing this longbow, Ye Qing’s eyes nearly popped out. Because this longbow was none other than Huangfu Ziyu’s Sun Shooting Bow!

Since Huangfu Ziyu left Mount Duwang last time, she has been missing. How did her Sun Shooting Bow end up in the hands of these Japan ninjas? Could it be that she was captured by them?

Seeing this Sun Shooting Bow, Ye Qing already knew there was no way he could hide anymore. Because it concerns Huangfu Ziyu, he had to go down and ask for clarity no matter what.

Ye Qing shook his head at Fu Qingping, signaling him to stay hidden and not come out. Then he slowly stood up, circled around the giant stone, and walked out slowly, saying loudly, ”If you want to talk with me, then let Miss Wen’er go first!”

”Hahaha...” Seeing Ye Qing appear, the Great Elder’s eyes squinted slightly, but he laughed aloud.

The Great Elder said, ”Mr. Ye misunderstood. We didn’t actually do anything to Miss Wen’er, just asked Miss Wen’er to help with a small favor.”

”I suppose the so-called small favor was to lure me over, right?” Ye Qing sneered.

”Hahaha...” The Great Elder laughed again and said, ”Now that Mr. Ye is here, Miss Wen’er can leave at any time; we certainly won’t stop her.”

The implication was telling Ye Qing, yes, we did use Wen’er to bring you here. Quite frankly, it was telling Ye Qing that we’re aware of the mini tracker you placed on Wen’er.

Ye Qing had figured this out long ago, so he wasn’t much surprised. He smiled slightly and said, ”Well then, can you let Miss Wen’er leave first?”

”Of course!” The Great Elder watched as Ye Qing walked down, then signaled to two other people, who finally released Wen’er.

Wen’er got free, quickly ran to Ye Qing’s side, and whispered urgently, ”Big Brother Ye, I...”

”It’s all right.” Ye Qing waved his hand to Wen’er, indicating she shouldn’t talk. Then he pulled her behind him and whispered, ”In a moment, run straight up the mountain, don’t worry about anything!”

Wen’er was surprised, not knowing what Ye Qing meant. However, she didn’t ask much because she knew now was not the time to dig into the matter.

By now, Ye Qing had already reached the platform. He glanced at the surrounding ninjas and then looked at the Great Elder, saying, ”May I know your name?”

”No problem!” The Great Elder smiled and said, ”Iga Ryu Ninjas Elders Council Great Elder, Hattori Ichiryu!”

Although Ye Qing didn’t research Japan ninjas deeply, he knew that the Hattori clan was a renowned family among Japan ninjas. The historically famous Hattori Hanzo came from the Hattori clan!

”So it’s Great Elder Hattori!” Ye Qing slowly nodded, then looked at the Sun Shooting Bow in the Great Elder’s hand and softly said, ”Great Elder Hattori is considered a high senior, yet you do such a thing to humiliate juniors; aren’t you afraid of losing face if word spreads?”

”Hahaha...” The Great Elder laughed loudly, saying, ”Speaking of seniority, no matter how high mine is, it’s not higher than Huaxia’s Green Reed Swordsman. Wouldn’t Green Reed Swordsman strike at juniors?”

Fu Qingping was very old, and his seniority was very high. The Great Elder’s seniority being lower than Fu Qingping’s was quite normal. What the Great Elder said was clearly letting Ye Qing know that they were aware of Fu Qingping’s presence.

Ye Qing smiled lightly, finding nothing surprising about this. Because if he were coming here, Fu Qingping would definitely follow; there was no need to guess. However, he still couldn’t understand how these Japan ninjas planned to deal with them.
