Urban Martial Saint

This feeling made Ye Qing involuntarily stare at the man a few more times, and suddenly, a figure flashed through his mind and his expression changed in an instant. Because he had already remembered who this man was!

Although Ye Qing had never seen this man’s face before, he was very familiar with his back. Especially his pair of hands—though curled up inside his sleeves, Ye Qing still faintly saw that his fingernails were unnaturally long. This height, this curly hair, plus those fingernails—wasn’t this person precisely the Cathedral Grand Master?

Previously, Ye Qing had been taken up to the Demon Hideout Cave by the Grand Master and followed behind him for a long time, so he remembered the Grand Master’s back extremely clearly. Even though his appearance had changed, Ye Qing still clearly recognized that this man was the Grand Master. As for his face, that was probably disguised; otherwise his face wouldn’t look so strange.

All along the way Ye Qing had been wondering where this Grand Master had gone, and he hadn’t expected that, by such coincidence, he would run into the Grand Master here in this hotel.

Judging by the Grand Master’s appearance, he should also be tracking that group of Japanese Ninjas. Moreover, there were a few people at his side with him, probably helpers he had brought in. So the Grand Master hadn’t given up on this matter at all; he had been waiting for an opportunity and had even found backup. From the look of it, they were also planning to fight over the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master this time!

”Hmph, all kinds of demons and monsters really have shown up!” Ye Qing gave a low snort, looked at Fu Qingping, and said, ”Well, good, this time we can just wipe them all out in one go!”

Fu Qingping didn’t speak, essentially acquiescing to Ye Qing’s words. Although he was only watching the few people on the Grand Master’s side from here, he had basically already sized up their situation. With his current strength, killing these few would be no challenge at all.

”It’s just a little strange—how did he manage to keep up with this group of Japanese Ninjas?” Ye Qing scratched his head and muttered, ”We tailed them all the way here and never saw them. Could it be they’re behind us? If they’re behind us, can they even keep up?”

Fu Qingping naturally couldn’t answer this question, and Ye Qing himself was extremely puzzled, secretly wondering whether the Grand Master had also planted some kind of locator on Wen’er. Otherwise, how could they have kept up?

On this matter, Ye Qing’s guess was completely correct. Ever since suffering a huge loss last time in the Demon Hideout Cave, the Grand Master had become much more cautious. After he stole the Gold Silk Armor and abducted Wen’er, he had indeed planted a micro locator on Wen’er’s body, and even Wen’er herself had no idea. And even that didn’t put him at ease—he also smeared tracking paint on the Dragon Blood Wood, which could be tracked as well. This way, no matter where the Japanese Ninjas went, he could follow. He harbored the same idea as Ye Qing, not daring to get too close, just trailing by the locator, which was why he had ended up behind Ye Qing and his group.

In fact, it was also a matter of luck. If not for that locator, they would probably have run into Ye Qing’s group on the road. Given the current situation, if the two sides met, a fierce battle would be inevitable. Even if Fu Qingping could completely defeat them, that was not something Ye Qing wanted to see happen.

Watching the Church members walk into the hotel, a sharp glint slowly flashed in Ye Qing’s eyes. He glanced at Fu Qingping beside him and whispered, ”Now that this batch from the Church has arrived, we can save ourselves some effort. When the time comes, let them go deal with that group of Japanese Ninjas first, and we can sit back and reap the fisherman’s profit!”

Fu Qingping slowly shook his head. He tightened his grip on the Qingping Sword in his hand and said, ”I want to personally test their combat strength!”

Ye Qing said nothing more. He knew that Fu Qingping had been constantly seeking out people to challenge in order to raise his strength. But with his current level, challenging Peak Masters individually no longer had any meaning. So he could only challenge multiple people at once. Just like last time outside the Demon Hideout Cave, when he challenged eleven Peak Masters alone and killed eight with three sword strikes. Now, seeing so many Peak Masters present, he naturally wouldn’t miss the opportunity. From his posture, it was obvious he intended to take on the Japanese Ninjas and the Church experts single-handedly!

”That’s fine too then!” Ye Qing nodded. Watching the Church group completely leave, he suddenly took a deep breath and muttered, ”Strange, why has there been no movement at all from the Wanyan Family lately? By rights, they’ve been searching for this Tomb of Ghost Valley Master for a thousand years. The Gold Silk Armor was even snatched from their hands. They couldn’t have missed this news, could they? So why aren’t they here to fight over it? Don’t tell me they’ve decided to give up on the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master?”

”Or maybe they’ve sent people as well, and we just haven’t discovered them yet,” Fu Qingping said softly.

Ye Qing’s heart stirred; that was indeed possible. After all, if even the Church had sent people over, there was no way the Wanyan Family would sit idly by. This was the opportunity to open the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master—would they hand over something their clan had searched for over a thousand years to someone else? With what Ye Qing knew of the Wanyan Family, they would never do that. So the Wanyan Family definitely would not let this chance slip by.

”Looks like this matter isn’t as simple as I thought at first!” Ye Qing exhaled lightly, his brows knitting slightly. The situation was getting more and more complicated, and he needed to carefully sort everything out. All these forces stepping in, and the matter involving the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master—one small misstep and it could become extremely dangerous!

Fu Qingping was still holding the Qingping Sword. He didn’t think as much as Ye Qing did. With his current strength, he didn’t need to think so much; the only thing he needed to do was challenge as many strong experts as possible, seek insight into the realm beyond the Acme, and break free of the shackles of the Acme as soon as possible. And in coming to the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master this time, he also wanted to personally see the tomb of the only Great Saint of the Taoist Sect for thousands of years, to see if he could find some method there to go beyond the Acme. As for how many people had come this time and how many forces were involved, he didn’t really care!

Back in the room, Ye Qing couldn’t sleep anymore, so he simply sat at the edge of the bed and began pondering the current situation.

The Japanese Ninjas had the Gold Silk Armor and the Famed Instruments; they could find the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master and also open it—that was the key point. So now none of the forces would disturb them, because everyone wanted them to open the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master. The real question now was whether the Japanese Ninjas really knew nothing, whether they would truly open the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master according to everyone’s expectations.

This question made Ye Qing’s heart give a jolt. In theory, the Japanese Ninjas had no shortage of intelligence personnel in Huaxia, and for them to set up such a huge plot, using the South Ridge Sect to collect Famed Instruments to open the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, clearly there were strategists among the Japanese Ninjas as well. With their intelligence capabilities and their scheming, they should be able to find out that Ye Qing and Fu Qingping had left Shenchuan City. From that, with a little inference, they could guess that Ye Qing and Fu Qingping were definitely coming to hunt them down. So why were they still swaggering around, continuing their search for the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master? Were they really so stupid that they couldn’t guess any of this?

After thinking for a while, Ye Qing suddenly turned to look at Fu Qingping and whispered, ”Master Ancestor, I’m afraid this situation is much more perilous than I initially imagined. I think we’d better not make the first move. We should fully observe the scene before doing anything.”

Fu Qingping glanced at Ye Qing, fell silent for a moment, then said, ”Perilous? What kind of peril?”

”That’s exactly what worries me the most!” Ye Qing sighed and said, ”I only know it’s perilous, but I really don’t know exactly where the danger lies. I only know that if these Japanese Ninjas aren’t idiots, they must already have a way to deal with us. Now everyone knows you’ll make a move to help me, yet they still dare to keep searching for the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, and the Church still dares to come fight over it. That shows they all have something to rely on. So this time, we’d better be cautious!”

Fu Qingping finally nodded. He didn’t think as much about these matters as Ye Qing did. But his intuition told him that searching for the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master would definitely not be so simple. After all, the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master was far too important; inside it might be hidden colossal secrets concerning the Heaven, Earth, and Man Three Gates—who could possibly remain unmoved? If someone beyond the Acme was drawn in, that would be real trouble!

Ye Qing sat there for a while, then picked up the Tianzhu Sword beside him and said, ”Master Ancestor, how about I teach you the Tianzhu Sword Technique? If real danger arises, you can still wield the Tianzhu Sword. Inside the Tianzhu Sword is sealed most of Master Duwang’s power; its might is extraordinary!”

Fu Qingping slowly shook his head and slowly raised the Qingping Sword in his hand. ”Only when I’m holding the Qingping Sword can I bring out my greatest strength. The Qingping Sword may not match the Tianzhu Sword in raw power, but it’s the sword that suits me best.”

Ye Qing had tried several times before to give the Tianzhu Sword to Fu Qingping, but each time Fu Qingping refused, and it was the same this time. Ye Qing sighed. The Tianzhu Sword was extremely powerful; according to Du Canglang, if paired with the Tianzhu Sword Technique, the Tianzhu Sword’s might could even rival the Sun Shooting Bow, allowing an ordinary person to become a Peak Master. However, the Tianzhu Sword had to be driven by Inner Strength, and Ye Qing currently had no Inner Strength, so he couldn’t use it at all even if he held it. As for the people around him, none were suitable to use the Tianzhu Sword either. So although the Tianzhu Sword was in his hands, in reality it wasn’t of much use and was instead somewhat of a burden.

”Looks like I’ll have to find a new master for the Tianzhu Sword.” Ye Qing sighed softly, gently stroking the Tianzhu Sword’s case beside him, while calculating in his mind whom he should give the Tianzhu Sword to.

Previously, he had planned to give the Tianzhu Sword to Liu Mubai, but after Liu Mubai cultivated the Indestructible Demon Body, Ye Qing abandoned that idea. Because he didn’t know whether the Indestructible Demon Body would change Liu Mubai, he naturally didn’t dare hand over the Tianzhu Sword to him lightly.
