Urban Martial Saint

Due to Nalan Jingwei’s caution, neither Executioner Scholar nor Nalan Jingwei made a direct move. The two followed the Great Lord all the way, but didn’t act even after leaving Shenchuan City. Nalan Jingwei was worried that Ye Qing might have other tricks up his sleeve or an ambush, so he refrained from acting, planning to wait for Ye Qing to make the first move.

However, the outcome was completely unexpected for them. The two followed all the way, but there was no movement at all. Even after the Great Lord had traveled far from Shenchuan City, there was no incident, which left them both quite puzzled.

”What’s going on?” Executioner Scholar frowned and said in a low voice to Nalan Jingwei beside him, ”Could it be that Ye Qing genuinely plans to use the Gold Silk Armor to exchange for his brother? For such a long time, we haven’t seen anyone from Ye Qing, nor any special circumstances. What’s really happening?”

”I don’t know either.” Nalan Jingwei was even more puzzled than Executioner Scholar. Just then, his phone suddenly vibrated. Nalan Jingwei answered the call and listened for a moment, his expression changed again. He turned to Executioner Scholar and said in a low voice, ”Ye Qing and Fu Qingping have just deplaned at Capital City Airport. They really... they really have arrived in the Capital!”

The Capital is the domain of the Nalan Family, and Nalan Jingwei had already stationed people at the airport to see if Ye Qing and Fu Qingping truly went to the Capital. He hadn’t expected that Ye Qing and Fu Qingping actually landed there.

”He’s in the Capital? Fu Qingping’s there too?” Executioner Scholar widened his eyes and said, ”With Fu Qingping in the Capital, whatever Ye Qing plans won’t work. Apart from Fu Qingping, who else can cleanly and swiftly deal with the Great Lord to save his brother?”

”This doesn’t make sense, does it? Ye Qing can’t be that foolish. He can’t be naïve enough to think that using the Gold Silk Armor will secure his brother’s life, can he?” Nalan Jingwei was utterly confounded by the situation, not knowing what to do.

”Either way, since there’s no sign of Ye Qing’s men now, shouldn’t we go grab the stuff first?” Executioner Scholar, glaring and ready for action, suggested, looking at the Great Lord’s car ahead, eager to seize the Gold Silk Armor. Compared to the Buddha’s Relic and the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, it appealed to him more. After all, their struggle for the Buddha’s Relic was merely for a chance to enter the Heaven, Earth, and Man Three Gates for longevity and extending life. However, within the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, there might exist a method for extending life from the Taoist Sect, directly achieving their goal, making the Buddha’s Relic redundant.

Nalan Jingwei felt tempted and was hesitating whether to act and seize, when suddenly, from afar, a giant rock fell from the half-mountain, crashing straight towards the car.

The appearance of this giant rock made the eager Executioner Scholar and Nalan Jingwei immediately hide. They exchanged glances, and Executioner Scholar said in a low voice, ”Someone else is eyeing this Gold Silk Armor too!”

The giant rock hurtled directly at the vehicle, threatening to kill everyone inside if it hit. Thus, seeing the rock, the two were quick to conclude it wasn’t Ye Qing’s setup. Ye Qing’s people would never do such a thing, as they still wanted to preserve the lives of Ye Jun and Wen’er inside the car. But the newcomers aimed to kill them all, indicating their target was solely the Gold Silk Armor, definitely not Ye Qing’s arranged people!

”Perfect, let them take the lead while we sit back and watch the tiger fight!” Nalan Jingwei coldly chuckled, ”If Ye Qing has something arranged, they’ll fight for a while, and Ye Qing will seize the opportunity. If he has nothing arranged, we can wait until they’re both wounded, then act, making it even easier to succeed.”

Executioner Scholar nodded repeatedly, he and Nalan Jingwei shared the same thought. As someone had already taken action, they were content to let the clams and cranes oppose each other and reap the benefits themselves.

Just as the giant rock was about to hit the car body, suddenly someone leapt from the vehicle — it was the Great Lord. He touched the car roof with the tip of his toe, propelling himself out like a cannonball, rushing towards the falling rock. Without any pause, he crashed into the rock, knocking it backward so that it couldn’t hit the vehicle.

The Great Lord landed from the air just as the vehicle came to a stop, and he stood on the car roof. The vehicle halted here, and he reached out to pull Ye Jun out. Holding Ye Jun by the neck, he angrily eyed the spot where the rock had fallen, exclaiming, ”Ye Qing, if you don’t want your brother dead, then get out right now, otherwise...”

Before the Great Lord could finish, two more giant rocks fell from the mountain, again aimed at his vehicle. Judging by the way they fell, they were targeted straight at him and the car below, even encompassing Ye Jun.

The Great Lord’s expression changed, confirming that the ones attacking from the mountain were definitely not arranged by Ye Qing. For the attackers were willing to kill even Ye Jun, which couldn’t possibly be Ye Qing’s setup.

Realizing the attackers’ intentions, the Great Lord didn’t dare delay. He released Ye Jun’s neck, jumping once more to knock the stones askew, preventing them from hitting the vehicle. But before he landed, another three giant rocks fell from the mountain, still aimed at their car.

This situation made the Great Lord furrow his brows tightly. Although he seemingly effortlessly deflected those giant stones earlier, it actually drained quite a bit of energy. If he were to keep blocking these stones from below continuously, it would be quite troublesome. However, it’s much easier for the opponent to throw stones down from the mountain. If this keeps going, the Great Lord will definitely be at a disadvantage. Hence, he must come up with a way to change the current situation, or else he will be exhausted like this.

After deflecting the three falling giant stones, as the Great Lord once again landed on the car roof, he tapped his toe on it, signaling the driver inside to hurry up and drive away from here.

The driver received the order and immediately sped forward. At this moment, more giant stones were falling from the mountain, but since the Great Lord had decided to leave here immediately, he was not too worried, consecutively deflecting those stones.

From a distance, Nalan Jingwei and Executioner Scholar watched the Great Lord deflect all those stones. While they were shocked by the Great Lord’s strength, they also pondered over who exactly was ambushing from the mountain.

”This person keeps throwing stones down the mountain, which can’t harm the Great Lord at all and is quite ineffective. Could it be that they’re simply trying to harass the Great Lord here?” Executioner Scholar said softly.

Nalan Jingwei looked up at the distance, his eyes slightly squinting, and said, ”Since someone is attacking the Great Lord, they must be aware of his strength. I estimate these giant stones are just a distraction; the real ambush isn’t here. Let’s not rush, let’s watch here for now. Anyway, nobody knows we two are here!”

Executioner Scholar slowly nodded, glanced at the road below, pointed to the distant corner at the foot of the mountain, and said softly, ”If this group has more ambushes, they must be waiting at that corner!”

While they were talking, the Great Lord’s vehicle was already near that corner. The speed had picked up significantly, as the Great Lord was eager to change the current situation and leave this place immediately. After all, this is Huaxia; he didn’t want to waste too much time here in case Huaxia sends more experts, which would be difficult to handle.

However, as the vehicle was about to turn around the corner, suddenly dozens of giant stones fell from the mountain, seemingly aimed at smashing the vehicle completely.

Seeing so many stones falling, how could the Great Lord take his time? He hurriedly charged up, urgently deflecting all those stones. Meanwhile, the vehicle below rounded the corner, and suddenly a truck appeared, just blocking their path. Behind the truck was a metal board extending from the truck onto the road, resembling a slope that led directly onto the truck.

In order to leave the place quickly, the vehicle’s speed was quite high, and the truck was parked right at the corner. The corner had a large angle; nothing was visible from the other side before turning, and once they saw the truck, there was no time to brake. Moreover, the road wasn’t wide, so the vehicle directly raced up along the metal board onto the truck and only stopped when it hit the edge of the truck.

Just as the vehicle rushed up, the truck’s rear door dropped immediately, enclosing the car inside. Then the truck accelerated to escape, intending to take the vehicle along with its passengers away.

After deflecting all those stones open, the Great Lord looked down only to find his car was gone. This shocked him greatly since the Gold Silk Armor was still inside the car. Moreover, Ye Jun and Wen’er were inside, whom he intended to use to compel Ye Qing later. Now that the car was gone, doesn’t it mean he lost everything?

Nevertheless, the Great Lord was also extremely astute. Though he hadn’t seen what happened below, upon seeing the truck racing away along the road, he roughly guessed the situation. Without saying a word, he charged toward the truck, hoping to intercept it.

However, before he could reach the truck, suddenly a man rushed out from the side, directly lunging at the Great Lord, both palms extending towards the Great Lord to strike.

Perceiving the man’s formidable strength, the Great Lord dared not neglect, quickly extending both palms to counter the strike. He stood unmoved, whereas the man was sent flying back by the impact; the difference in their strength was glaringly obvious.
