Urban Martial Saint

Less than five minutes later, the soldier came running back and reported the child’s birth details.

Yin Xianzi stood nearby listening, and after hearing the soldier’s words, she immediately frowned and said in a deep voice, ”Yin Year, Yin Month, Yin Time, just as I expected!”

Ye Qing’s expression also changed, and he said in a deep voice, ”So, this is the work of that sorcerer?”

Yin Xianzi slowly nodded. The reason she asked about the child’s birth details earlier was to see if this incident was related to that sorcerer. She didn’t expect to guess correctly. This child was born in the Yin Year, Yin Month, Yin Time, which means the child is suitable for cultivating a living corpse. And for a child with this type of constitution, who else but the sorcerer would abduct him?

”He abducted this child and left us this note...” Ye Qing looked at the note and said in a deep voice, ”He’s clearly trying to lead us to Beimang Mountain. It seems that he’s definitely set up a trap there, waiting for us to walk right in!”

Yin Xianzi said nothing; she just clenched her teeth and looked at the cave behind. The tool truck hadn’t arrived yet, but the cave entrance was already completely sealed by the crushed stones that had fallen nearby. Although they were reluctant to believe the captain’s words, they had to admit that Ding Lianshun, trapped inside, was really in grave danger.

If the entire cave had collapsed, unless Ding Lianshun could tunnel through the earth, he would be absolutely doomed this time. Even if the tool truck arrived, they would at most just extract his corpse; there’s no way they could rescue a living person!

After a moment of silence, Yin Xianzi suddenly gritted her teeth and said, ”Ye Qing, stay here and help me rescue Cyclops. If he’s still alive, send him to the Twelve Green Halls of Tai Island. Don’t worry, no one will make things difficult for you if you take him over. If he’s really gone, then just dig out his remains and send them back to the Twelve Green Halls!”

”And you?” Ye Qing couldn’t help but be anxious and asked, ”What are you going to do?”

Yin Xianzi snatched the note from Ye Qing’s hand and gritted her teeth, saying, ”I’m going to avenge Cyclops!”

”You’re going to Beimang Mountain?” Ye Qing was taken aback, then shook his head and said, ”No, you can’t go to Beimang Mountain; it’s far too dangerous. Who knows what the sorcerer might have arranged there, just waiting for you to walk into his trap. If you really go to Beimang Mountain, it’s bound to be perilous!”

”So what!” Yin Xianzi said firmly, ”Cyclops ended up like this to save me. If I don’t avenge him, what’s the point of living? Ye Qing, there’s no need to say much; I’m definitely going to go to Beimang Mountain, and you can’t stop me!”

”I wasn’t planning to stop you...” Ye Qing looked at Yin Xianzi and said word by word, ”I’m going with you!”

”With me?” Yin Xianzi was taken aback; Ye Qing’s decision was entirely unexpected.

”That’s right, I’m going with you!” Ye Qing took the note from Yin Xianzi’s hand and said, ”Mr. Ding saved you, and he saved me as well. Avenging him is not just your business, it’s mine too!”

”But, Beimang Mountain is very dangerous!” Yin Xianzi said anxiously.

”That’s why I’m going with you!” Ye Qing said, ”So what if Beimang Mountain is dangerous? Does that mean we shouldn’t avenge Mr. Ding because of the danger? Hmph, even if that sorcerer escapes to the Ends of the Earth, I would never let him go!”

”You don’t understand; the danger I’m talking about isn’t what you imagine!” Yin Xianzi shook her head and said, ”I’m saying that Beimang Mountain itself is very dangerous. Even if the sorcerer didn’t set a trap there, it would still be dangerous for us to enter.”

”Huh?” Ye Qing was stunned and asked, ”Dangerous even without traps? How come?”

”Sigh, I can’t explain it clearly to you now, but the Heavenly Master warned us before not to enter Beimang Mountain lightly.” Yin Xianzi said in a deep voice, ”If it weren’t for this incident, I absolutely wouldn’t enter Beimang Mountain. Even if I go in, there’s no guarantee I’ll be able to get out safely. Ye Qing, I think you shouldn’t get involved in this matter. If you really enter Beimang Mountain, I’m afraid I won’t be able to look after you!”

Ye Qing furrowed his brow; he didn’t expect Beimang Mountain itself to pose danger, which was entirely unexpected for him. However, he did not remain silent for long and directly waved his hand, saying, ”I don’t need you to look after me, however dangerous it might be. It’s no big deal, risking life and limb. Were it not for Mr. Ding, I would have died many times over already; why would I care about this time? No matter what, I have to make a trip to Beimang Mountain!”

Seeing Ye Qing’s determined expression, Yin Xianzi knew she couldn’t change his mind, so she could only slowly nod and said, ”Since you’re determined to go, I won’t stop you. Ye Qing, be prepared mentally; going to Beimang Mountain, chances are we’ll never come out. So, you’d better deal with any affairs you need to take care of!”

Ye Qing gave a self-deprecating laugh and said, ”Since getting involved in these matters, I’ve already arranged my affairs long ago. Because who knows if I’ll die someday!”

Ye Qing’s words made Yin Xianzi smile; she slowly nodded and looked at Ye Qing, saying, ”Ye, if not for our different stances, you would surely become our friend!”

”Hahaha...” Ye Qing laughed heartily and said, ”Fortunately, our stances are different; at least we still have the chance to become friends!”

Yin Xianzi slowly nodded, appreciating Ye Qing’s personality. As she said, from this moment on, she truly considered Ye Qing a friend. However, the issue of their stances ultimately determined that they could not become friends.

”Yin Xianzi, prepare for the trip to Beimang Mountain. I’ll arrange for my friends in Shenchuan City to come and take over the rescue mission for Mr. Ding!” Ye Qing said.

”Alright!” Yin Xianzi nodded and walked off to the side, starting to call Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue to report on the situation here.

Ye Qing then called Li Lianshan, asking him to send Hou San, Da Fei, and others here to specifically take charge of breaking through the cave to rescue Ding Lianshun. Although the military personnel were busy here, Ye Qing always felt uneasy relying on them. He needed his own people to oversee things to feel assured. Despite the possibility that Ding Lianshun was no longer alive, as he had previously said: alive to meet the person, dead to meet the corpse. This time, no matter what, he would dig Ding Lianshun out!

Li Lianshan didn’t know what was happening over here but quickly arranged for Hou San, Da Fei, and others to take a special flight to North Hong to take over the mission of rescuing Ding Lianshun. Ye Qing also informed the State Security Department to urge the Military Department to rescue Ding Lianshun at all costs.

Once everything was arranged, Ye Qing at last went to meet with Yin Xianzi, and the two of them drove directly to the city, flying overnight towards Beimang Mountain.

The tickets had already been booked by the military personnel, making things quite smooth. As the sky began to darken, the two boarded the plane to Beimang Mountain, and barring any surprises, they would reach Beimang Mountain by nightfall.

Sitting on the plane, the two finally calmed down a bit, and Ye Qing asked, ”What did the Heavenly Master say? Is there hope for Mr. Ding?”

Yin Xianzi shook her head, causing Ye Qing’s complexion to change as he hastily asked, ”Is Mr. Ding beyond saving?”

”No!” Yin Xianzi shook her head, saying, ”I couldn’t get through to him on the phone.”

”Oh, you scared me!” Ye Qing exhaled deeply and asked, ”Why couldn’t you get through?”

”I don’t know, no one answered the call.” Yin Xianzi was also a bit puzzled; contacting Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue was usually quite easy, so why couldn’t she even get through this time?

Of course, Yin Xianzi knew that with the Heaven Earth Man Tri-Map starting to move, Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue must be much busier than before. Perhaps he was occupied with the matters of the Heaven Earth Man Tri-Map, which was why the call didn’t go through.

Ye Qing originally wanted to inquire about Ding Lianshun’s situation from Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue, as he was really struggling to accept the possibility that Ding Lianshun might have died inside the cave. But now, even the Heavenly Master’s phone couldn’t be reached, directly extinguishing his thought.

He shook his head helplessly and said, ”By the way, you mentioned this afternoon that there’s danger in Beimang Mountain. What kind of danger is it exactly?”

Yin Xianzi was silent for a moment and said, ”Haven’t you heard about Beimang Mountain?”

”No.” Ye Qing shook his head; in fact, this was the first time he had heard of the name Beimang Mountain.

”No wonder!” Yin Xianzi nodded lightly and softly said, ”There is a poem that describes Beimang Mountain this way — ’Not much idle soil atop Beimang Mountain, all are old graves of Luoyang people.’

Ye Qing was puzzled and curiously asked, ”What does that mean?”

Yin Xianzi explained, ”The place of Beimang Mountain has been identified as a Feng Shui treasure since ancient times, which attracted many people to bury their bodies here. Over the ages, numerous royal nobles, many royal dignitaries all eventually buried their bones at Beimang Mountain. Thus, Beimang Mountain has also been called Ghost Mountain!”

”Ghost Mountain?” Ye Qing gasped, exclaiming, ”Is Beimang Mountain haunted?”

”Not at all,” Yin Xianzi shook her head and said, ”In this clear and peaceful world, where would there be ghosts? It’s said Beimang Mountain is a Ghost Mountain mainly because there are too many cemeteries on the mountain. One careless shovel might dig up the grave of a noble from some dynasty. Therefore, some curious people called it a ghost-inhabited place, not suitable for human habitation, hence nicknamed Ghost Mountain.”

”I see,” Ye Qing realized, saying, ”Given that Beimang Mountain isn’t haunted, what’s the danger then? At most, it just has more cemeteries.”

”It’s not as simple as that,” Yin Xianzi said solemnly, ”Beimang Mountain isn’t haunted, but there are demons there!”
