Urban Martial Saint

After a good night’s rest in Shangang City, the phone on the table rang just as dawn broke.

Ye Qing was slightly surprised. Who would know his whereabouts here?

He picked up the phone, and Zou Huanglong’s voice came through immediately: ”Good morning, Mr. Ye!”

Ye Qing frowned slightly. So early in the morning, Zou Huanglong was calling. Could it be there’s something going on again?

”Is there something you need?” Ye Qing asked.

Zou Huanglong laughed, ”Oh, it’s nothing much. I just thought the breakfast at the hotel isn’t very good. So, I thought I’d pick up the three of you and we’d go somewhere to have breakfast together.”

”No need for the trouble, I’ve already eaten. If there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up now.” Ye Qing replied casually, suspecting that Zou Huanglong had ulterior motives.

”Wait a minute.” Zou Huanglong quickly interrupted, hesitated a little, then said softly, ”Mr. Ye, I’m really sorry, I actually do have a small matter I’d like to ask your help with.”

”Go ahead.” Ye Qing replied casually. It was his first time meeting Zou Huanglong and their contact was limited. However, it was apparent that ever since Zou Huanglong learned that Ye Qing had special abilities, his attitude had become much more respectful. Now, calling out of the blue, he might need Ye Qing’s help again.

Of course, Ye Qing didn’t refuse. Zou Huanglong’s requests usually weren’t too much trouble for him. Furthermore, with Divine Doctor An Shiping’s Acupoint Seeking Technique, ordinary illnesses were easily handled for him. Healing someone could be considered a good deed.

Zou Huanglong said, ”Mr. Ye, is it convenient for you? If so, I’ll come over now, and we can discuss this matter face to face?”

What could be so important that it needed to be discussed in person?

Ye Qing was very puzzled, but since Zou Huanglong insisted, he didn’t refuse. After putting down the phone, Ye Qing got up to tidy up a bit and had some food in the room as breakfast.

Not long after finishing, there was a knock on the door. Looking through the peephole, he saw it was indeed Zou Huanglong standing outside, and he was alone.

The security was mainly to guard against Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun. Seeing neither was present, Ye Qing opened the door.

”Mr. Ye, I’m really sorry to wake you so early in the morning.” Zou Huanglong apologized awkwardly to Ye Qing.

”It’s alright.” Ye Qing waved his hand, inviting Zou Huanglong to sit down, and said, ”Officer Zou, what’s the matter that needs to be discussed face to face?”

”Mr. Ye, no need for formalities, you can just call me Old Zou.” Zou Huanglong smiled, sighed, and said, ”Mr. Ye, it actually isn’t my matter, but it involves my uncle’s family. It’s about my uncle’s wife’s nephew who, not long ago, suddenly developed a strange illness and became extremely gluttonous. A four-year-old child can eat more than twenty steamed buns in one meal, and these are big buns, larger than his stomach!”

”What?” Ye Qing was taken aback. This was something he had never heard of before.

”Eating so much, wouldn’t that be lethal?” Ye Qing questioned incredulously.

”Yes, that was our concern too. Initially, his parents didn’t pay much attention, but eventually, his large food intake caught their notice. Seeing him eat so much frightened his parents—they feared he would burst, so they tried to control his intake.” Zou Huanglong paused and said, ”Who would have thought this ’control’ was hard to enforce. If they didn’t let him eat, he’d chew on things like sofas and chairs. They had a wooden chair which he gnawed down to crumbs!”

Ye Qing’s expression changed. Hearing Zou Huanglong’s account, it suddenly seemed like no ordinary matter. A child barely over four years old, regardless of how much he could eat, reducing a piece of wooden furniture to crumbs was near impossible!

”How is the child now?” Ye Qing asked.

”This issue has persisted for eleven days. His parents are very worried and have taken him to many hospitals. However, all tests show the child is perfectly fine.” At this point, Zou Huanglong paused, shook his head, and said: ”No, no, not perfectly fine. The hospitals said the child… the child is slightly malnourished!”

Ye Qing was stunned. Eating so much and still malnourished—it’s absurd!

”Where’s all the food going?” Ye Qing wondered.

”Ah, hard to explain. This child eats a lot, but it comes out quickly too,” Zou Huanglong said. ”Each time he finishes eating, he immediately defecates. The entire day’s schedule is just eating and pooping, no other activities. With such a circumstance, the parents are at their wit’s end, unable to find a solution despite consulting countless renowned doctors. Watching a perfectly healthy child reduced to this state, the family is on the verge of collapse but still can’t find a way out.”

At this, Zou Huanglong looked at Ye Qing and said, ”Mr. Ye, you wouldn’t believe it—about the remedy you mentioned last night, I specially had someone prepare the medicine. After drinking it last night and again this morning, my stomach feels so much better!”

Ye Qing smiled slightly. Zou Huanglong’s meaning was very clear; he wanted Ye Qing to help check on that child. However, he was too embarrassed to ask directly, so he was hinting to see what Ye Qing’s attitude was.

In fact, with such a situation, even if Zou Huanglong didn’t come to ask, Ye Qing would certainly go and see for himself. After all, it’s just a child, and Ye Qing has the Acupoint Seeking Technique, which can heal the child and count as a good deed.

”Does your relative live far from here?” Ye Qing asked.

”Not far, just half an hour by car,” Zou Huanglong quickly said, his expression growing excited. Ye Qing saying this meant he intended to see the child, which made him suddenly excited.

When he first arrived, he didn’t know how to start the conversation. Unexpectedly, before he said anything, Ye Qing directly offered to go, making Zou Huanglong feel extremely grateful to Ye Qing.

”There’s still some time before the afternoon, so let’s go over there first,” Ye Qing said. ”Is there a car?”

”Yes, yes, yes, I drove one myself over here!” Zou Huanglong quickly said. ”The three of you can ride in my car; we’ll be there soon.”

”No way!” Ye Qing immediately shook his head and said, ”I’ll ride in your car, but arrange another car for my two friends.”

”Huh?” Zou Huanglong was stunned for a moment. He really couldn’t understand why Ye Qing was distancing himself from those two people.

Seeing Zou Huanglong like this, Ye Qing smiled and said, ”The special abilities I practice differ from theirs, so we can’t be too close. Otherwise, it will lead to a clash of abilities!”

”Oh.” Zou Huanglong appeared to suddenly understand and excitedly said, ”Mr. Ye, are there so many magical sayings in special abilities?”

”Yes, there are many taboos in this!” Ye Qing replied with a smile, finding Zou Huanglong very easy to deceive, as just the mention of special abilities had him spinning around in circles.

”Alright, I’ll arrange a vehicle at once to take the two of them over!” Zou Huanglong excitedly said, ”Mr. Ye, shall we set off first?”

”Sounds good.” Ye Qing followed Zou Huanglong out of the hotel, and as they left, he gave Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun instructions to follow in the car behind.

”Damn, this bastard, speaking in such a commanding tone!” Ding Lianshun slapped the table, looking displeased.

Yin Xianzi’s expression was even colder, but despite their anger, the two ended up taking the car behind. Their task was to protect Ye Qing, and since things had reached this point, they couldn’t just give up halfway.

Zou Huanglong’s relative did not live in the city but in the suburbs of Shangang City. The suburbs of Shangang City have many mountainous areas, thankfully there weren’t many cars on the road, and sure enough, it only took about half an hour to arrive.

This household seemed rather wealthy, living in a luxurious villa area. Zou Huanglong had likely been there more than a couple of times, as he drove straight to the door of a villa.

”Mr. Ye, we’re here.” Zou Huanglong led Ye Qing to the villa’s door and knocked on it.

Not long after, a middle-aged woman came out of the villa. Seeing Zou Huanglong, she quickly turned and shouted into the house, ”Mr. Zou is here.”

Shortly thereafter, a man in his thirties came out, looking weary, possibly from not having enough rest.

It was obvious that he had a good relationship with Zou Huanglong, though they didn’t say much. He just came over, opened the door, and let Zou Huanglong and Ye Qing into the yard.

The woman behind wanted to close the door, but Zou Huanglong quickly stopped her: ”Don’t close the door; a few more people will be coming over in a while.”

The woman looked at the man, and he waved his hand to indicate agreement with Zou Huanglong’s words.

Zou Huanglong led Ye Qing into the living room, looking at the man and asked, ”Xiao Xie, how’s the child?”

The man called Xiao Xie sighed and said, ”Eh, still the same, already twelve days now. The child eats so much every day, but the body grows thinner by the day, sigh!”

”It’s okay, you don’t need to worry too much.” Zou Huanglong stepped back, pointing to Ye Qing and said, ”Xiao Xie, this is my friend, Mr. Ye Qing, the top special abilities master in the country. To him, any difficult or complicated ailment is not a problem. You know my stomach issue, right? Last night, Mr. Ye casually worked on me, and my stomach healed immediately!”

Ye Qing listened from the side and wanted to laugh. Zou Huanglong’s words were quite incredible; when did he become friends with him? And besides, top special abilities master in the country, that guy is really good at boasting.
