Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing definitely didn’t rest in Chang Yuan City; he immediately asked people there to help buy three tickets to Shangang City. Shangang City is very close to Chang Yuan City. Ye Qing planned to strike while the iron was hot and conveniently deal with the mercenaries over in Shangang City to save time.

After all, there’s still more than a month until the fifteenth of next month. That means Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun will be Ye Qing’s bodyguards for more than a month, which is a rare opportunity. Ye Qing plans to make good use of this month, not only to deal with these mercenaries but also to do many other things.

After Fang Xiang found out that Ye Qing was a member of the State Security Department, he was even more respectful towards Ye Qing. When Ye Qing said he needed three tickets to Shangang City, Fang Xiang immediately sent someone to get the tickets. Such things are very simple for people in the military.

The flight to Shangang City was at eleven at night. Ye Qing took the three tickets and bid farewell to Fang Xiang and the others, taking a taxi to the airport by himself. Although Fang Xiang repeatedly offered to send a car to take Ye Qing, Ye Qing refused all offers, after all, it wasn’t just Ye Qing going; Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun were also coming.

Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun stood at the rooftop, watching Ye Qing walking alone out of the temporary command post. They immediately came down from the rooftop and closely followed Ye Qing.

Ye Qing had no intention of taking a taxi; he walked straight out of Xiang Village, reaching a deserted path. Ding Lianshun couldn’t hold back any longer. Seeing there was no one around, he quickly quickened his pace, running straight towards Ye Qing.

”Ye, stop right there!” Ding Lianshun shouted, reaching out to grab Ye Qing.

Ye Qing really didn’t run anymore. He turned around directly, somehow holding a dagger in his hand.

Seeing Ye Qing’s dagger, a cold smile slipped across Ding Lianshun’s lips. With his abilities, even if Ye Qing had a gun, he wouldn’t take him seriously. So, without any hesitation, he reached straight for Ye Qing’s neck.

However, Ye Qing’s response was completely beyond his expectations. Holding the dagger, he didn’t stab at Ding Lianshun but suddenly thrust it violently towards his own heart.

Ding Lianshun froze for a moment, while Yin Xianzi was the first to react, leaping forward to grab Ding Lianshun’s shoulder and forcibly pulling him back three meters away.

Seeing Ding Lianshun retreat, Ye Qing also stopped. The dagger was just slightly against his shirt. If it went in any further, it could pierce his heart, which would mean certain death.

Ding Lianshun frowned deeply and said in a low voice, ”Ye, are you thinking of committing suicide?”

”I haven’t thought of dying yet, but on the condition that you both don’t push me!” Ye Qing smiled lightly at them and said, ”I have many things to do and must finish them quickly, so I don’t have time to delay. If you two capture me and lock me up, that’s no different from killing me. I might as well just die now. So, don’t push me, I really don’t want to die!”

Ding Lianshun’s expression changed, and he said angrily, ”Ye, you’re... you’re just threatening us!”

”Am I?” Ye Qing smiled faintly, playing with the dagger in his hand, and said, ”So did I manage to threaten you?”

Ding Lianshun was at a loss for words. Although he knew Ye Qing was threatening them, it was indeed effective. If Ye Qing died, then the Medicine King Mountain affair would be hopeless, and how could the two of them explain to Heavenly Master Lin Xuan Yue?

”Ye, you’re really despicable!” Ding Lianshun gritted his teeth and said.

”You’re welcome!” Ye Qing said calmly, ”This is just a means of self-preservation, not really despicable.”

Ding Lianshun shook with rage, wanting to kill Ye Qing on the spot. But it was just a thought; facing Ye Qing like this, he was helpless.

”Ye Qing, what exactly do you want to do!” Yin Xianzi said through gritted teeth, ”We’re here to protect you, not to be your thugs, don’t go too far!”

”I’m not going too far.” Ye Qing said, ”I have my own things to do. I didn’t ask you two to follow me; you two insisted on following me. Is that my fault? If you don’t want to follow me, you can go back. I still have a lot to do and don’t have time to waste.”

Yin Fairy and Ding Lianshun’s faces turned pale with anger; Ye Qing’s words were nothing short of taking advantage while playing innocent. They were tasked with closely protecting Ye Qing, how could they not follow?

”Ye, stop talking nonsense!” Ding Lianshun spat through gritted teeth, ”Once this is over, I’ll be the first to cut you into pieces!”

”Alright, I’m waiting for you!” Ye Qing smiled faintly, saying, ”As for Shangang City, are you two going or not? If you are, I have two spare tickets here, you can come with me. If not, I’ll just go by myself then!”

As Ye Qing spoke, he placed two plane tickets on the stone beside him and smiled, ”However, I still have to make one thing clear. If you two really decide to come with me, then we must establish some ground rules. First of all, you two can’t come within thirty meters of me; if you get too close, I won’t feel safe. Look, the knife in my hand is quite sharp too; if something happens accidentally, I’m afraid you won’t be able to explain it when you go back.”

Yin Fairy and Ding Lianshun’s expressions turned cold, and they didn’t respond to Ye Qing’s words, but they really didn’t dare get too close to him.

”Of course, with your skills, this knife can’t really threaten you for long.” Ye Qing smiled and continued, ”That’s why I’ve made two preparations.”

As Ye Qing spoke, he casually opened his jacket to reveal a row of bombs tied to his abdomen. The other end of the fuse was hanging in Ye Qing’s hand, and he could pull the fuse at any moment.

Yin Fairy and Ding Lianshun’s faces changed drastically. Earlier, they were actually contemplating how to control Ye Qing, but now seeing the explosives tied to his body, they were completely out of options. Daggers and such were easier to manage, but the explosives were not. With the fuse end tied to Ye Qing’s finger, a small mishap could pull the fuse, spelling certain death for Ye Qing and wrecking their mission.

”Ye, do you have to be so ruthless?” Ding Lianshun sighed helplessly; now they had zero hope of controlling Ye Qing. By that logic, did they really have to help Ye Qing kill all of his enemies?

”No choice, you two are peak masters, if I’m not fully prepared, I can’t rest easy.” Ye Qing smiled and said, ”Also, when I sleep, I might tie the fuse to the window and door. If someone opens the window or door, it might trigger the bomb, so please be cautious and try not to disturb my sleep.”

Ding Lianshun glared angrily but had no way to deal with Ye Qing, only holding back his fury. Yin Fairy was no better off than Ding Lianshun, her face full of resentment, but also helpless against Ye Qing.

”It’s about time, if the two of you are coming with me to Shangang City, please hail a cab to follow; I’ll go first.” Ye Qing smiled while retreating, not exposing his back to the two, fearing a sudden attack from them.

Ye Qing was so vigilant that Yin Fairy and Ding Lianshun had no means to tackle him, only able to reluctantly follow, picking up the tickets on the stone and heading to the airport with Ye Qing. Of course, there was always a distance between them and Ye Qing, just to avoid any mishaps. You know, the Twelve Green Halls have planned for this matter for more than twenty years, they dare not let it be ruined by the two of them.

Chang Yuan City to Shangang City is not far, arriving at Shangang City just at midnight. On the plane, Ye Qing was not in the same cabin as Yin Fairy and Ding Lianshun; they really didn’t dare traverse the cabin looking for him. Once off the plane, Ye Qing directly told them a location and himself left first by taxi.

Ye Qing could tell, these two definitely intended to capture him and hold him for a while until the fifteenth of next month. So, Ye Qing was extremely cautious of these two, ensuring absolutely no accidents would happen, and he would never ride in the same car as them.

Ding Lianshun and Yin Fairy sat in the car behind, following Ye Qing’s car, both burning with unspoken frustration.

”Had I known this, I would have directly captured him and locked him up back in Shenchuan City, there wouldn’t be so many issues!” Ding Lianshun exclaimed angrily.

Yin Fairy sighed wistfully, ”Had I known this, I would have killed him before Bai Li Xi emerged, none of this mess would have happened.”

”Had I known this, I would have killed him long ago, he wouldn’t be living till now!” Ding Lianshun grumbled angrily, murmuring a few words before suddenly saying, ”By the way, Red-Striped Snake, have you noticed this kid’s luck is a bit too excessive?”

”His luck is indeed very good.” Yin Fairy paused briefly and said, ”I heard it was that last heir of the Iron Calculation Sect who used the sect’s method of altering fate against heaven to change his fate, thus his luck became so good.”

”Exactly, that Old Wang Ba!” Ding Lianshun said in a low voice, ”The Iron Calculation Sect is merely a branch of the Taoist Sect, but truly has its unique skills. Even the Heavenly Master can’t alter fate against heaven, yet Old Wang Ba could, isn’t that remarkable?”

”I heard the Heavenly Master say, what’s called altering fate against heaven can only be considered a minor trick within the Taoist Sect.” Yin Fairy said, ”As they say, Heavenly Dao harms the surplus to compensate the deficiency. Human Dao is contrary, harming the deficiency to serve the surplus. The Heavenly Dao and Human Dao, having loss must have surplus, having harm must have compensation, where there’s compensation, there will also be harm; this is the natural rule!”
