Urban Martial Saint

It seems these responsible leaders all think Su Kaicheng is joking, after all, they’ve been worrying themselves sick over this matter for days without coming up with a solution, which shows how difficult it is to handle. At this moment, Su Kaicheng suddenly says he can resolve the issue without any damage, of course, everyone thinks he’s joking.

Actually, if it weren’t for Su Kaicheng being injured, these people would definitely criticize him. After all, everyone is already at their wits’ end with this problem, and him joking around now is just stirring trouble.

”I’m serious!” Su Kaicheng said earnestly, ”I really can handle this matter!”

Seeing Su Kaicheng’s serious expression, the responsible leaders exchanged glances, and one of them asked in a solemn voice, ”How do you plan to deal with this matter?”

Without any reservations, Su Kaicheng explained Ye Qing’s situation. After hearing Su Kaicheng’s words, the leaders were instantly invigorated. They all knew the strength of the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance and Twelve Green Halls, and understood how powerful the martial artists within are. Hearing that there are two masters comparable to the Five Unmatches involved, naturally makes the situation much easier.

”If that’s really the case, this matter is definitely worth a try!” one leader said.

”It’s definitely worth it!” another leader agreed, ”With these martial artists taking action, solving those mercenaries is just too simple!”

”Then...” Su Kaicheng said happily, ”Can we get Ye Qing to handle this matter?”

”Of course.” one leader laughed, ”Not only can we get him to handle it, but we’ll also inform him that if he resolves this matter well, we’ll apply for his merits to be recognized by higher authorities!”

The others also agreed consecutively; driven crazy by this matter, they were naturally very happy to finally find a suitable solution.

With the unanimous agreement among the leaders, the next steps were simple. Holding the orders from the leaders, Su Kaicheng went directly to the intelligence department to gather all the information on the mercenaries to hand over to Ye Qing. Meanwhile, he applied for collaboration with Ye Qing, having the intelligence department liaise directly for first-hand information transfer, aiding Ye Qing’s efforts.

After this was all arranged, it was already afternoon. Su Kaicheng took the documents home and notified Ye Qing, transmitting the information to him, while also providing the contact number for the intelligence department. This way, Ye Qing could freely access the department’s information, making it easier to tackle the mercenaries.

Ye Qing was already prepared. At noon, he bought a plane ticket to Chang Yuan City, near Shenchuan City. According to Zhao Chengshuang’s data, a batch of mercenaries was hiding in this city; Ye Qing planned to start in nearby areas and clear them out step by step.

After receiving the transmitted data from Su Kaicheng, upon careful comparison, Ye Qing first pinpointed a dozen cities in the Southern Six Provinces region; most of the mercenaries were hiding around there. To solve these people, Ye Qing would have to start sweeping through from the Southern Six Provinces, eliminating these mercenaries one by one.

Ye Qing’s flight was in the evening. Shortly after obtaining Su Kaicheng’s data, he boarded the plane headed for Chang Yuan City. On the plane, Ye Qing paid special attention to see if Ding Lianshun and Yin Xianzi were following him. A closer look revealed that indeed Ding Lianshun and Yin Xianzi were trailing him, further affirming Helian Tiehua and Purple Robe Lama’s suspicions; these two were indeed ensuring his safety!

Seeing the two, Ye Qing couldn’t help but smile inwardly; having them follow made him feel much more at ease. Relying solely on Ye Qing to deal with these mercenaries was quite risky. But with these two alongside him, no matter how formidable the mercenaries’ powers were, damaging these two Peak Masters was impossible.

Ye Qing discovered Ding Lianshun and Yin Xianzi, who were well aware of it, given the disparity in strength between them and Ye Qing. Each of Ye Qing’s moves was clear to them.

Seeing Ye Qing glance at the two of them and then turn away, Ding Lianshun couldn’t help but murmur, ”What exactly is this kid up to? It’s late at night, why suddenly head to Chang Yuan City? What’s he going to do there? It’s not like he has any friends in Chang Yuan City, right?”

Yin Xianzi shared the same doubt and said softly, ”Did you notice? He just glanced back at us, he must have spotted us tracking him. This Ye is notoriously cunning in his dealings, who knows what he’s planning going to Chang Yuan City. I suspect he might have set up some kind of trap in Chang Yuan City, trying to bait us in.”

”Humph!” Ding Lianshun snorted coldly, ”Trap? With his abilities, what trap could hurt us? Chi, you’re thinking too much. Together, we’d fearlessly face masters like the Five Unmatches. Even if outmatched, we’d escape unscathed; what trap could Ye set that would harm us?”

”That’s true.” Yin Xianzi nodded, looking at Ye Qing sitting in front, still frowning, she said solemnly, ”Why do I have the constant feeling it’s not easy protecting Ye?”

”You’re only realizing that now? I’ve noticed long ago!” Ding Lianshun said displeased, ”Not to mention Ye has a lot of enemies; the most significant issue is, he loves poking into others’ business, often provoking enemies. Protecting him is not easy, we have to keep a keen eye, for his enemies might attack at any moment.”

”Sigh, it’s all because of Ning Qianshu!” Yin Xianzi said solemnly, ”The Heavenly Master was far too concerned about Ning Qianshu in recent years, arranging too much for him. This time, sending us to aid Ning Qianshu — even having us protect such a person because of Ning Qianshu’s matters is irksome to me!”

”There’s nothing we can do; Ning Qianshu is the most likely successor of Divine Doctor An Shiping’s legacy!” Ding Lianshun shrugged, ”Don’t forget, Divine Doctor An Shiping was the only one in recent times to enter the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates. Moreover, his legacy hasn’t been passed down yet; whoever inherits it will maintain his abilities to the maximum. The Supreme status yielded from mastering Heaven Earth Man Three Gates would preserve most abilities for the first-generation successor, but drastically diminish for the second generation onwards. If Ning Qianshu becomes the first-generation successor, it’s like having An Shiping reborn, but crafted by Twelve Green Halls, wholly heeding our command, not a trifling matter. An Shiping ruled an era, if another of his kind arises now, apart from Miaojiang Witch, who could rival Twelve Green Halls?”

Listening to this, Yin Xianzi nodded repeatedly, saying softly, ”Indeed, An Shiping’s inheritance is no small matter. But, why is An Shiping so strange? He has two disciples yet didn’t hand over the legacy to them but set up this Medicine King Mountain, waiting for so many years to find a new successor?”

”Who knows?” Ding Lianshun shrugged, ”But I heard Heavenly Master vaguely mentioning it before. After An Shiping made his name, he visited the then-current True Buddha of Brahmanism thrice. I presume the True Buddha told him something that influenced his decision.”

”The True Buddha!” Yin Xianzi’s eyes twinkled sharply, saying solemnly, ”It’s said that the True Buddha of Brahmanism is a living Buddha who can perceive everything in the world. Who knows if it’s true or not. Between the True Buddha and Heavenly Master, who’s stronger?”

”Who knows, the True Buddha’s ability to transcend eras indicates notable strength.” Ding Lianshun paused and said, ”But, in one aspect, the True Buddha is far inferior to Heavenly Master.”

”What aspect?” Yin Xianzi quickly asked, intrigued.

”Martial Arts!” Ding Lianshun laughed, ”From the very first, Brahmanism’s True Buddhas never practiced martial arts. Although they perceive all, they lack martial skills for self-defense; they rely on Brahmanism’s protectors to safeguard their safety!”

”I’ve heard of this too,” Yin Xianzi replied, ”Why don’t True Buddhas practice martial arts? Brahmanism’s martial arts aren’t lacking; nearly every generation has a martial artist comparable to the Five Unmatches. Is it just that True Buddhas don’t want to practice martial arts?”

”Apparently not,” Ding Lianshun said, ”I heard Heavenly Master mention before, the True Buddhas’ inability to practice martial arts is due to physical limitations.”

”What kind of limitations?” Yin Xianzi asked curiously, ”Is their health poor?”

”Not poor...,” Ding Lianshun shook his head, ”Their bodies are incapable of practicing martial arts, they can’t cultivate Inner Strength. Even if they try to learn, it’d be fruitless; they can never develop Inner Strength in their lifetime!”

”Ah?” Yin Xianzi widened her eyes in surprise, asking, ”How... How is that possible? Many generations of True Buddhas were unable to practice martial arts?”

”I’ve heard that’s the case,” Ding Lianshun nodded, ”Brahmanism’s True Buddha is very peculiar; even Heavenly Master prefers not to have extensive interactions with them. These things, we can merely discuss without concerning ourselves too much.”

Yin Xianzi nodded, looked again at Ye Qing ahead, and said again displeased, ”Ugh, hopefully, Ye won’t run into any more trouble.”
