Urban Martial Saint

The two snipers being eliminated instantly boosted the military morale here, even Zou Huanglong got excited. He suddenly realized that what Ye Qing had said before might not have been bragging, could he really be able to deal with these mercenaries?

However, after those two snipers were taken out, there was no movement inside the house, not even the sound of gunfire. This greatly surprised Zou Huanglong, he glanced at the people beside him and whispered, ”Did you... did you hear anything?”

Several people shook their heads simultaneously, they were all also listening intently, but there was no movement inside the house.

Zou Huanglong was very puzzled in his heart, he did not know what had actually happened inside. As time passed by the minute, the dead silence made Zou Huanglong’s heart hang in suspense as well, he wished he could immediately send several people to rush in and see what was going on inside.

But, he didn’t dare to do so; he didn’t know what happened to the two people Ye Qing had sent inside. If he sent people inside now and something went wrong, he would have to bear the responsibility for it. So, despite his curiosity, he held back, standing outside with his team, staring at the house waiting for news from inside.

After about five minutes, the door of the house finally opened, Zou Huanglong’s heart skipped a beat, and the people beside him immediately raised their weapons, wary of mercenaries rushing out from inside. After all, in everyone’s opinion, it was utterly impossible for more than a dozen mercenaries inside to be eliminated in just five minutes.

However, the reality was completely unexpected for everyone; after the door opened, Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun who went inside came out unscathed.

”How... how did they come out?” Zou Huanglong’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Here, Ye Qing was also watching the situation inside the house, seeing Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun come out, he knew that the situation inside must have been completely resolved. He smiled and cupped his hands towards the two, saying: ”Mr. Ding, Yin Xianzi, thank you very much!”

Ding Lianshun simply turned his head to the side, not bothering to look at Ye Qing. Yin Xianzi’s face was frosty, coldly staring at Ye Qing, eyes full of killing intent, not saying a word.

Ye Qing simply ignored their anger; for events like these, it’s only natural for them to be upset. He smiled at the two, then turned around to Zou Huanglong, saying: ”Officer Zou, the mercenaries inside have been completely eliminated, could you send your men in to tidy up the scene?”

”El... eliminated?” Zou Huanglong was baffled, looking at the open-door house, saying: ”It’s... it’s resolved? How long has it been? Mr. Ye, inside... the dozen or so mercenaries, all well-equipped, did your colleagues check upstairs?”

”Officer Zou, rest assured, if I say it’s resolved, then it’s resolved.” Ye Qing smiled: ”If there were still anyone standing inside, do you think it’d be so quiet inside?”

”This...” Zou Huanglong was momentarily speechless; although he thought Ye Qing made a good point, he just couldn’t accept the fact that this matter had been resolved.

Bear in mind, these mercenaries had been here quite long. Their entire unit had been guarding here for three whole days without being able to resolve these mercenaries’ issue, it was a real headache. Ye Qing with his three people solved the biggest issue in less than five minutes? You can’t blame anyone for not believing it!

”Officer Zou, don’t worry, very likely the mercenaries inside are mostly dead.” Ye Qing smiled: ”Feel free to send people inside to clean up, there won’t be any danger.”

Hearing Ye Qing say this, Zou Huanglong reluctantly told a subordinate, ”Take a team and go see inside, remember, be very careful. If you encounter resistance, retreat immediately, don’t fight hard inside, and don’t provoke them!”

”Yes!” The subordinate responded, also reluctantly leading a team away.

In the subordinate’s heart, he too couldn’t believe the mercenaries had been resolved. So at this time, whoever went in first, they were risking their life, he didn’t want to take that risk. But it’s an order, he couldn’t refuse, only lead a team to cautiously approach the house’s exterior. Dodging the entrance, still didn’t dare to enter, only testing at the doorway to see if there was any resistance inside.

”What are you playing at?” Zou Huanglong watched from afar and couldn’t help but say: ”I told you to be careful, not to hop around outside!”

”Oh.” The subordinate responded, though unwillingly, still braced himself and led several people to rush into the house. With several people covering, the subordinate rushed inside, directly rolling on the ground to the eaves within the yard, finding a favorable terrain to hide, guarding against bullets. Meanwhile, gripping his gun tightly, aiming cautiously all around, in full combat readiness.

The other few were in similar condition, upon entry they immediately found favorable spots to hide. However, the anticipated situation of gunfire did not happen, inside the house was completely silent, after they rushed in there was no movement at all, let alone anyone shooting.

The subordinate holding the gun glanced around, not only couldn’t find enemies, but saw several people lying dead on the ground, with pools of blood around them, seemingly indicating these people were already dead.

Seeing such a situation, all of them were stunned, could it be that the mercenaries had really been dealt with?

Seeing his subordinates rush in, Zou Huanglong stood outside anxiously waiting for the outcome from inside. However, after they entered, there was no movement at all, the anticipated shooting noises didn’t occur, making Zou Huanglong’s heart continue to hang in suspense, not knowing what the situation was inside.

”How’s it inside? How’s it inside? Answer if you hear!” Zou Huanglong anxiously asked holding the walkie-talkie.

After quite a while, inside transmitted his subordinate’s voice trembling slightly out of excitement: ”Officer, those... those mercenaries, all... all resolved... all have been dealt with...”

”What!?” Zou Huanglong nearly bit his tongue, hurriedly asked: ”Are you sure? Are you sure? So many mercenaries in there!”

”Wait a moment, we’ll check the rooms again.” Inside the walkie-talkie came a noisy footstep, after a while the excited voice of the subordinate came again: ”Officer, it’s true, those mercenaries are all resolved. Moreover, all mercenaries have been killed, none have survived!”

”How is this possible!” Zou Huanglong shouted in surprise.

”It’s... it’s the truth, they’re indeed all dead...” The subordinate paused slightly, said: ”But, Officer, they died strangely. Each one had holes pierced in the center of the forehead or temple, but not by bullets; wait a moment, let me see, this... this seems like they were pierced through by small stones! My god, it’s really small stones!”

Zou Huanglong furiously said: ”What a joke? Are you insane? Small stones, piercing someone’s forehead?”

”Officer, I’m saying the truth, really by small stones. If you don’t believe, you can come in yourself for a look!”

”I wouldn’t believe you!” Zou Huanglong threw away the walkie-talkie, angrily said: ”You guys, follow me inside!”

In any case, since those mercenaries were all dead, Zou Huanglong had no worries, directly leading a team into the house. Having heard about their forehead and temples being pierced by a small stone, he couldn’t believe it, he had to see for himself.

Once inside the yard, the team that came earlier were standing in the middle, and several bodies lay on the ground inside the yard.

Seeing Zou Huanglong enter, those few immediately stood upright, the previous subordinate quickly walked over, saying: ”Officer, there are five bodies in the yard, and ten upstairs rooms, totaling fifteen bodies, matching our intel. All mercenaries have been killed, none escaped!”

”Let me see!” Zou Huanglong went straight over, bent down beside the first body.

”This is a sniper, who fell from the rooftop. But, he didn’t die from the fall, the actual fatal injury is at the temple.” The subordinate beside turned the head of the corpse, pointing at the small hole in the temple, said: ”The deceased had the temple pierced by a small stone, causing death.”

Seeing the wound, Zou Huanglong was shocked at the moment, because the wound absolutely couldn’t be made by a gun. He carefully inspected, indeed finding a small stone deeply lodged in the wound. This verified the previous report, the person’s temple indeed was pierced by a small stone!

”This... how’s this possible?” Zou Huanglong’s eyes nearly popped out, this was beyond human normal understanding! What was used to throw this small stone? How could it have such power? Could it be a small stone shot out of a handgun?

”Officer, there’s even more impossible things!” The subordinate beside whispered: ”We’ve checked, outside there are a few bodies, two of which are snipers, shot directly off the rooftop. Also, two are patrols, they were shot off the upper floors, and one inside the hall, shot dead. Moreover, most crucially, the whole building has three floors, thirteen rooms upstairs and downstairs approximately. The remaining ten mercenaries are pretty much distributed in ten rooms on the three floors.”

The subordinate paused slightly at this point, looking at Zou Huanglong, but stopped speaking.
