Urban Martial Saint

”Damn it, this sorcerer is going all out!” Ding Lianshun cursed angrily as hundreds of human puppets surrounded him, even causing him some embarrassment, with half of his clothes being torn off.

Yin Xianzi wasn’t in a much better situation than Ding Lianshun. Although she had a long whip in her hand, she also had to look after Ye Qing, making her somewhat flustered.

It wasn’t because these human puppets had any real power. In fact, with the strength of Yin Xianzi and Ding Lianshun, dealing with these human puppets wasn’t particularly difficult. But the key problem was, with so many human puppets, dealing with them would certainly require considerable effort and time. And time was something they could no longer afford. If they didn’t deal with the sorcerer soon, the child would be doomed.

In this situation, they were left with no choice but to forcefully charge in. The result of charging in was that they had to break into the circle of human puppets surrounding them. These human puppets weren’t afraid of death or pain. In fact, unless their limbs were broken, they would keep coming at you, which was extremely troublesome. Even with their immense strength, facing two or three hundred beasts would get them into a fluster as well.

As those human puppets rushed over, Ye Qing immediately felt the pressure double. Human puppets came at them from all directions. If they weren’t careful and let these human puppets get close, it would be a disaster. Even a peak master would meet their end under the assault of two or three hundred human puppets grabbing and biting at them. Indeed, if these two or three hundred human puppets truly pressed forward, their sheer weight could flatten the three of them!

In such a chaotic situation, Ding Lianshun and Yin Xianzi found it difficult to clear a path. While their attacks certainly knocked down human puppets, they had completely lost the ability to send them flying. After all, they were surrounded on all sides by these human puppets. The fallen human puppets lay on the ground around them, forming a human pile that almost trapped the three of them in the center. Meanwhile, the human puppets outside continued to rush in, making the situation tenser by the moment.

The child, oblivious to the danger, was on the ground, still walking toward those human puppets. Seeing this, Ye Qing hurriedly picked him up. If this child were caught by these human puppets, he would certainly be doomed.

”Hehehe...” A cold laugh came from outside: ”Martial artists of Huaxia, today, I want you all to die here!”

Yin Xianzi’s face darkened, and she signaled to Ding Lianshun with a glance. Ding Lianshun understood, striking down a human puppet before him with a palm. Then, he kicked off the ground, leaping over two meters high, stepping on the head of a human puppet ahead to propel himself further. With his feet trampling on the heads of these human puppets, he rushed toward where the sorcerer’s voice had come from.

The principle of ”catching the leader first” was something Ding Lianshun understood well. In this situation, the best approach was to capture this sorcerer first, kill him, and break this sorcery.

The sorcerer also saw Ding Lianshun charging forward, and his expression changed. He took a quick step back, whistling sharply, and immediately dozens of human puppets surrounded him, protecting him in the center.

”Where do you think you’re running!” Ding Lianshun roared, and with a few leaps, he was upon the sorcerer, reaching out to grab him.

The sorcerer squatted suddenly, and the human puppets around him immediately pounced, covering him from below. Although Ding Lianshun came fiercely, he couldn’t catch the sorcerer, only managing to grab two human puppets and throw them aside.

At this moment, the surrounding human puppets surged forward, encircling Ding Lianshun. Despite his great power, Ding Lianshun was still flesh and blood, unlike these numb human puppets. Surrounded by so many human puppets, he too was momentarily trapped, forced to first protect himself.

However, this move of Ding Lianshun’s did indeed frighten the sorcerer. Although there were still dozens of human puppets around him for protection, seeing that these human puppets were unable to deal with Ding Lianshun, he was quite startled. Soon enough, he regained his composure, and a flash of madness swept across his eyes.

”Huaxia Countryman, let me show you what real sorcery is!” The sorcerer shouted, suddenly retreating two steps, sitting cross-legged on the ground, crossing his hands to form an extremely bizarre hand seal. At the same time, he chanted indistinctly, although no one could tell what he was muttering, it nonetheless filled one’s heart with unease.

Seeing this, Ding Lianshun tried several times to charge forward and stop the sorcerer. However, the human puppets surrounding him were simply too many, and the sorcerer still had dozens of human puppets guarding him. Even if he charged in, he couldn’t do anything to the sorcerer.

The sorcerer chanted for about a minute before suddenly opening his eyes, which now shone with an eerie blood-red gleam.

”Red-Striped Snake, watch out!” Ding Lianshun called out urgently.

”What’s wrong?” Yin Xianzi asked in surprise, still trapped in a dire situation by the attack of over two hundred human puppets.

”I fear the sorcerer is going to use a blood curse!” Ding Lianshun shouted.

”What!?” Yin Xianzi exclaimed in shock.

Before her voice had even faded, the Sorcerer on the other side had already traced a cold smirk at the corner of his mouth and said, ”The Martial Artists of Huaxia Country, you do have a keen eye to have recognized my sorcery!”

Hearing the Sorcerer’s words, both Ding Lianshun and Yin Xianzi’s expressions changed. Ye Qing was desperately fending off the human puppets around him. Seeing Yin Xianzi’s expression, he couldn’t help but ask, ”What is a Blood Curse?”

Yin Xianzi said in a deep voice, ”It’s one of the more dangerous spells of sorcery, often requiring the Sorcerer to expend a lot of power, causing harm to his body to enhance the effects of the sorcery!”

”Isn’t that similar to the Blood Fusion Sorcery of the Blood Dragon Couple?” Ye Qing asked in surprise.

”It’s not the same!” Yin Xianzi shook her head and said, ”Blood Fusion Sorcery sacrifices life as a cost, and its power is terrifying, far exceeding this Blood Curse.”

Ye Qing looked at Yin Xianzi in surprise. If the Blood Curse’s power wasn’t as great as the Blood Fusion Sorcery, then what was she worried about? The strength of the Blood Dragon Couple was so formidable, and they had used the Blood Fusion Sorcery, yet they were still dealt with. The Sorcerer’s strength here surely couldn’t measure up to the Blood Dragon Couple, and using a Blood Curse that wasn’t as strong as the Blood Fusion Sorcery, what was there to fear?

”Although the Blood Fusion Sorcery’s power surpasses the Blood Curse, it also depends on the circumstances!” Yin Xianzi said in a deep voice, ”Look at the numerous human puppets here, all controlled by his sorcery. If he uses the Blood Curse, it’ll enhance the power of his sorcery. With so many human puppets, if each has their sorcery’s power increased, the combined effect could be terrifying!”

Ye Qing suddenly understood, his expression changed as well. He finally comprehended why Ding Lianshun and Yin Xianzi were so worried. With so many human puppets, if they all got stronger, how disastrous would the outcome be?

But at this point, who could still stop the Sorcerer?

Over there, the Sorcerer formed several more hand seals, finally exposing both index fingers, which he bit into directly, causing blood to gush forth.

The Sorcerer let out a roar, suddenly flinging his hands out, and blood splattered across the human puppets.

As the blood was absorbed, the human puppets seemed to be invigorated, as if medicated, becoming more excited and closing in on the trio, making their situation even more precarious.

However, the Sorcerer appeared unsatisfied. Seeing the trio still able to protect themselves, he hesitated slightly before suddenly placing his left index finger into his mouth, biting off a segment, and tossing it out.

The appearance of the finger further stimulated the human puppets, making them even more ferocious. Not to mention Ye Qing and Yin Xianzi encircled in the center, even Ding Lianshun on the outside was pounced on by a human puppet, bitten on the left arm.

Ding Lianshun reacted quickly, grabbing and flinging the human puppet away as soon as he was bitten. However, though his actions were quick, a piece of his clothing was still torn off. With this momentum, how much longer could they hold out was already very questionable.

Seeing Ding Lianshun and the others being surrounded, the Sorcerer finally stopped. A flash of a proud smile appeared on his pale face as he said, ”Humph, Martial Artists of Huaxia Country. I knew you would come this afternoon, so I’ve created so many human puppets here, just waiting for you to walk right into my trap. This time, I want to see how you’ll meet your end!”

Ye Qing and the others were encircled, this chaos even more difficult than before. With the skills of Ding Lianshun and Yin Xianzi, they could only protect themselves at this moment. Ye Qing held a child in his arms and was entirely passive, with several wounds torn open on his body, making his situation extremely dire.

And what troubled Ye Qing the most was that the sky was gradually lightening. If they couldn’t kill this Sorcerer, the child was surely doomed.

Just as Ye Qing was pondering, two more human puppets lunged at him, biting deeply into his back. Although Ye Qing had been bitten before, it still caused him to stifle a groan. He hurriedly reached back to grab the two human puppets, but with several more charging from the front, Ye Qing had no time to deal with those behind him.

At this tense moment, a long whip suddenly coiled around and wound around Ye Qing’s waist, lifting him up and helping him evade this deadly crisis.

”Ye Qing, hold on!” Yin Xianzi’s shout reached his ears. Without a second thought, Ye Qing quickly grabbed the long whip.

”Cyclops, catch!” Yin Xianzi shouted again, and Ye Qing saw Yin Xianzi swing the long whip towards Ding Lianshun.
