Urban Martial Saint

On a moonlit mountain road, a car was speeding along the path that led seventy kilometers away to Shenchuan City.

There were four people in the car in total. In the back seat sat two young men. One of them looked about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old but had an air of maturity. He was tall, with a handsome face and resolute eyes, clearly not an ordinary person.

If Ye Qing were here, he would instantly recognize this person as the very disciple of Great General Helian Tiehua, who had come to the Shen Family Manor for the matchmaking event, Li Qianqiu!

Last time at the Shen Family Manor, although Ye Qing didn’t have a direct confrontation with Li Qianqiu, he was aware of Li Qianqiu’s formidable strength. After all, when Wan Yan Ming had a bout with Li Qianqiu, Li Qianqiu didn’t even lift a finger, and Wan Yan Ming got injured. Wan Yan Ming was considered a top young fighter, and his crushing defeat showed how powerful Li Qianqiu was.

On such a moonlit night, why was Li Qianqiu appearing here? Moreover, it was apparent he was heading to Shenchuan City—what on earth was he planning?

Li Qianqiu’s vehicle was traveling quickly, and before long, it came down the mountain, passing by this industrial area. However, on the road at the edge of this area, a car was parked right in the middle, blocking both sides of the road.

The driver furrowed his brow slightly; the car blocking the road was positioned too ideally, making it impossible to pass by. In this situation, he had no choice but to stop the car.

Slowing down the car gradually, the driver turned to Li Qianqiu in the back and said, ”Young Master, there’s a car blocking the way ahead. It could be an ambush; should we inform the Great General?”

Li Qianqiu raised his eyes to look at the car in front, shook his head, and said, ”No need. I’ll go and take a look.”

”How can that be okay?” The person in the passenger seat said urgently, ”Young Master, on such a mountain road, there are very few cars to begin with. Now, with a car blocking the middle of the road, it undoubtedly spells conspiracy—we cannot fall into someone else’s trap.”

Li Qianqiu glanced at him, speaking in a deep voice, ”You’ve been following my master for quite some time now. If you lack even this bit of courage, do you still dare to claim you’re from the General of Meng District?”

The person in the passenger seat felt somewhat awkward and whispered, ”Better safe than sorry. Right now, the most crucial thing is to first get the Young Master to Shenchuan City and meet with the Great General. Safety first.”

”No need!” Li Qianqiu opened the car door decisively and strode toward the car in front.

Seeing this situation, the other three hurriedly got out of the car, following closely behind Li Qianqiu, as if fearing he might suffer any harm. As they drew nearer to the car, their faces showed more vigilance, staring intently at the car and watching out for any possible ambush inside.

Yet nothing happened as they reached the side of the car. Li Qianqiu lightly knocked on the car door, and there was no response from within. Puzzled, he leaned closer to the window to take a look.

”Someone?” Li Qianqiu muttered in confusion. There was indeed a person sitting inside, but why was there no reaction? He peered carefully and finally understood the situation. The person inside had their head slumped to the side, seemingly unconscious or dead, explaining the lack of response.

Li Qianqiu swiftly opened the car door, and upon seeing the person’s condition inside, someone behind him suddenly exclaimed, ”Li Lianshan!”

”What?” Li Qianqiu turned around, curious, ”You know him?”

”I don’t know him personally, but I’ve seen his photo,” the person said. ”He is a brother of Ye Qing, and he holds some power in Shenchuan City. When White Horse Chen Sanye was in Shenchuan City, he specifically distributed his photo to our people, stating he’s our ally. I still remember his appearance.”

”Ye Qing’s brother?” Li Qianqiu’s expression immediately grew solemn, and he said in a deep voice, ”Quickly, help him out.”

The three of them hastily assisted Li Lianshan out. The person from earlier whispered, ”Young Master, Li Lianshan is a good brother of Ye Qing and usually stays in Shenchuan City. It’s unusual for him to appear here, severely injured—there might be something fishy about this.”

”Whatever the issue, we’ll know after we save him and ask,” Li Qianqiu said, checking Li Lianshan’s pulse to confirm it was due to severe injuries leading to congested blood and fainting. Without hesitation, he helped Li Lianshan sit cross-legged, applying pressure on several acupuncture points on his back, and gently transmitted Inner Strength into Li Lianshan to disperse the congested blood.

Before long, Li Lianshan slowly regained consciousness. Seeing the people around him, he hesitated for a moment and asked urgently, ”Who...who are you?”

”I’m a friend of Ye Qing!” Li Qianqiu said. ”How did you end up here? Where’s Ye?”

”You’re a friend of Ye Qing?” Li Lianshan exclaimed joyfully and said urgently, ”Hurry, help! Ye Qing is besieged by a group of monks!”

In the abandoned factory, although the Eighteen Arhats Formation was strong, Ye Qing’s Tiangang Beidou Formation’s stepping techniques were even more exquisite. With the guidance of this marvelous stepping technique, it didn’t take long for the Eighteen Arhats Formation to be completely dismantled by him, and the injury on Ye Qing’s left shoulder gradually healed, finally changing the passive situation.

Seeing the monks staggering around injured, the lead monk’s eyes were wide open in disbelief. Watching Ye Qing approaching aggressively, he hurriedly retreated a few steps, anxiously calling towards the warehouse behind him: ”Three Masters, save… save me… the Eighteen Arhats Formation has been broken by him…”

Ye Qing knew there were people inside the warehouse, and those who could stay inside without coming out for so long were definitely key figures. Now, hearing the lead monk’s shout, he was completely certain that the people inside the warehouse were actually Masters. It seemed the ones in the warehouse were the real decision-makers.

Ye Qing didn’t attack the lead monk but stood at the entrance of the warehouse, quietly waiting for the people inside to come out.

Soon, three elderly monks walked out of the warehouse, along with seven or eight younger monks. It seemed these three elderly monks were those three Masters.

”True Buddha’s compassion!” the middlemost elderly monk softly exclaimed, slowly looking at Ye Qing, and said: ”Benefactor, you harbor too much intent to kill, after death you should fall into the animal realm, suffering endless cycles of reincarnation.”

Ye Qing became instantly furious, this dying bald donkey, the first thing out of his mouth is an insult, isn’t this looking for a beating?

”You say I’m bloodthirsty? You are truly laughable, how many of mine have died over here, how many of yours over there?” Ye Qing indignantly said, ”You come to our Huaxia, abduct so many children, you’ve already sinned unto death. You also killed so many of my brothers, and injured Old Li, it’s about time we settle this account.”

”The True Buddha will punish you!” Although the elderly monk said so, he joined his hands and directly charged towards Ye Qing.

This elderly monk seemed old but acted with surprising swiftness, reaching Ye Qing in just a few breaths. Both palms stretched out, heading directly for Ye Qing’s chest.

Ye Qing didn’t expect the old monk to move so fast, but Ye Qing wasn’t weak either. Wing Chun’s unmatched close combat relied on responsiveness and the ability to counter. He swiftly swept his right arm, blocking the old monk’s hands, trying to lift his palms away.

The old monk’s arms were blocked by Ye Qing, letting out a light cry in his mouth, he pressed down forcefully. This move made it so Ye Qing’s one arm couldn’t possibly hold up both of the old monk’s hands. However, Ye Qing had anticipated this, and while under this pressure, his other hand had already extended, landing a heavy punch towards the old monk’s abdomen.

Ye Qing was employing a mutually damaging tactic. Even if the elder monk’s palms landed on him, Ye Qing’s punch would surely hit the old monk. Although the elder monk wasn’t weak, he was on par with Ye Qing at most. If both were to trade blows, the one suffering would definitely be this old monk, as he was too old, his physical condition was far inferior to Ye Qing’s.

The elderly monk was quite shrewd, he certainly didn’t wish to forcefully clash with Ye Qing. Therefore, he immediately turned his palms into claws, swiftly grabbing Ye Qing’s fist.

On the other side, Ye Qing also caught the old monk’s other wrist, both of them employing grappling techniques, exchanging a few moves. Such close combat was highly favorable for Ye Qing, as Wing Chun Fist is unbeatable in close quarters.

Having traded a few moves with Ye Qing, the old monk sensed something was wrong. But by then it was too late to retreat, entirely entangled and in a passive position by Ye Qing.

”True Buddha’s compassion!” the old monk shouted, anxiously yelling: ”What are you two watching for? Help!”

The two other elderly monks were still observing, but upon hearing this, they immediately rushed over, surrounding Ye Qing and attacking him together.

The strength of these three elderly monks was far superior to those former young monks. The three of them together surrounded Ye Qing, leaving him completely powerless to fight back.

Just as the battle situation became dire, a long howl suddenly came from outside the abandoned factory, followed by a heroic voice: ”Ye, don’t worry, I’m coming to help!”

Upon hearing this voice, Ye Qing felt very familiar but hadn’t figured out who it was yet. The factory gate had already been pushed open by someone. A tall man rushed in from outside. When he was more than five meters away from the three monks, he suddenly extended his right hand, reaching out towards one of the old monks.

The newcomer was Li Qianqiu, who, after hearing from Li Lianshan about the situation here, hurried to assist.

Seeing Li Qianqiu coming, Ye Qing was already a bit surprised. Watching his move, Ye Qing became even more surprised. He was more than five meters away from the old monk, what was he doing reaching out? Trying to scare the old monk?

Yet the outcome was completely beyond Ye Qing’s expectations. As Li Qianqiu reached out from afar, the old monk seemed to be grabbed by his collar, lifted into the air, and brutally thrown aside.
