Urban Martial Saint

A few monks directly threw the bag onto the ground, and the leading monk looked straight at Ye Qing, shouting, ”The person you want is here, quickly let Weiye go!”

Seeing the condition of the bag, Ye Qing’s heart immediately ignited with rage. Previously, when Weiye killed a few of Li Lianshan’s subordinates, Ye Qing already harbored the intention to kill these people. And now seeing Li Lianshan stuffed in a bag like this, with his life hanging in the balance, Ye Qing’s desire to kill further intensified.

”Old Li! Old Li! How are you?” Ye Qing shouted loudly, looking at the blood seeping from the bag, genuinely fearing that Li Lianshan might already be dead.

After a long while, the bag slightly moved, and a weak voice came from inside, ”Ye Zi? Is it Ye Zi?”

Upon hearing Li Lianshan’s voice, Ye Qing couldn’t help but rejoice; Li Lianshan wasn’t dead, which was the best news. Grabbing Weiye’s neck, he walked towards the bag, shouting urgently, ”It’s me, Old Li, don’t be afraid, I’m here to save you!”

”I’m fine, watch out... watch out for these bald monks... their strikes are very heavy.” Li Lianshan coughed continuously as he spoke, indicating serious internal injuries.

”Shut up!” One monk casually picked up a wooden stand and smashed it onto the bag, directly silencing Li Lianshan.

Ye Qing watched from the side and upon seeing this, his eyes immediately turned red. Li Lianshan was like a brother to him, being beaten like this infuriated him to the extreme. Now, these people were brutally beating Li Lianshan right in front of him; how could he possibly hold back?

”You hit my brother, then I’ll beat this bald monk!” Ye Qing kicked Weiye’s knee, causing Weiye to kneel directly on the ground. He hurriedly tried to stand up, but Ye Qing kicked the side of his right knee, twisting his leg, and breaking the leg bone.

Seeing Ye Qing violently beat Weiye, several monks were also furious, shouting they wanted to kill Ye Qing. However, Ye Qing’s dagger was constantly pressed against Weiye’s neck, so they dared not really charge forward.

The leading monk frowned at the situation, his voice stern, ”Let Weiye go, then I’ll let him go!”

”You let Old Li go first!” Ye Qing shouted coldly.

”Impossible!” the leading monk shouted, ”Let them go together, otherwise, I’ll kill this person!”

”Hmph, if you dare to touch him, I’ll return the favor a hundredfold on this bald monk.” Ye Qing lifted the dagger in his hand and said, ”If you don’t believe me, try it!”

Feeling the dagger’s piercing coldness on his neck, Weiye shivered all over. At this moment, he forgot all about the Great Brahman God being almighty; survival was the most crucial now.

”Senior Brother, save... save me...” Weiye called out in a trembling voice.

Seeing Weiye like this made the leading monk’s face even colder. He gritted his teeth and remained silent for a while before speaking sternly, ”Fine, then I’ll release this person first. However, you must keep your promise; once we release this person, you immediately let Weiye go. Otherwise, even if we have to sacrifice a few people, we will definitely keep you here today!”

”Enough nonsense, release him quickly.” Ye Qing shouted sternly.

The leading monk took a deep breath and waved his hand sharply. Seeing this, the monks behind him went over, opened the seal of the bag, and released Li Lianshan.

When Li Lianshan crawled out of the bag, Ye Qing almost couldn’t recognize him. Li Lianshan was now covered in blood, his clothes soaked through with it. But the key thing was, he had no visible wounds at all; only his forehead had a few injuries. Looking at him, it was clear he was tied up in the bag and beaten with sticks to the extent that his skin bled.

Ye Qing knew that this beating method was actually more dangerous than stabbing someone with a knife. Using sticks to beat the skin until it oozes blood, although not many wounds are visible, usually indicates extremely severe internal injuries, as the internal organs are shocked into this result. Internal injuries are often harder to treat than external ones. Furthermore, looking at Li Lianshan’s condition, the fact he could still stand was a miracle, any other person would likely be on the brink of death right now.

Actually, it was fortunate that Li Lianshan had previously taken a Ziyu Chenxiang Pill; the medicine’s effect was still present, preserving his life. Without it, he would have died from such severe injuries.

”Old Li, how are you?” Ye Qing asked urgently.

”I’m fine!” Li Lianshan spat and said, ”These bald monks are really damn ruthless, beating me for over two hours. Luckily I’m tough, or I’d be dead by now. Ye Zi, don’t let these bald monks off; I’m going to fight them to the death!”

Seeing Li Lianshan staggering as he walked, Ye Qing was speechless. He approached Li Lianshan, speaking softly, ”Alright, in your condition, don’t waste your words. Can you drive?”

”Probably,” Li Lianshan glanced at Ye Qing, curiously asking, ”What are you intending?”

Ye Qing handed the key directly to Li Lianshan and whispered, ”Take my car and leave here first.”

”What about you?” Li Lianshan was stunned.

”Their target is me. If you drive away first, they definitely won’t chase you. But if I go with you, then neither of us will get away.” Ye Qing whispered, ”Don’t worry about me, these bald monks can’t keep me here.”

”Really?” Li Lianshan glanced at the monks and whispered, ”Ye Zi, don’t underestimate these monks. There are more than ten monks in the warehouse, and three of them seem quite old, likely the leaders. As the saying goes, many hands make light work; you can’t handle so many people alone. Let’s just drive away together.”

”No need.” Ye Qing whispered, ”Listen to me, drive away first. Even if I can’t beat them, I can still escape unscathed. With you here, I can’t fight freely.”

Seeing Ye Qing and Li Lianshan whispering like this, the leading monk across the way couldn’t help but say, ”Hey, what nonsense are you two talking about? I’ve already released your man, now it’s time for you to keep your promise and release Weiye, isn’t it?”

Li Lianshan still wanted to speak, but Ye Qing pressed his shoulder and whispered, ”No time left, leave quickly; otherwise, neither of us will be able to escape.”

Seeing Ye Qing’s determination, Li Lianshan knew he couldn’t change his mind and stopped arguing. Taking the car key from Ye Qing, he turned and got into the nearby car.

”What are you doing?” The leading monk’s eyes widened, and he said urgently, ”What are you up to? Hey, why aren’t you keeping your promise? Didn’t we agree that we’d release this man once you released Weiye? Stop them, don’t let them escape!”

Over a dozen monks rushed forward, seemingly ready to block Li Lianshan’s car.

Ye Qing immediately grabbed Weiye and lifted him up, shouting, ”Let him go, and I’ll stay here. Once he’s gone, I’ll release this monk immediately. If you dare to stop him, don’t blame me for breaking my promise.”

Hearing Ye Qing’s words, the monks calmed down a bit. The leading monk frowned, looked at Ye Qing, and said in a deep voice, ”Alright, as long as you stay, he can leave freely. But you need to step away from that car first!”

”No problem!” Ye Qing took a few steps back with Weiye, away from Li Lianshan’s car.

By this time, Li Lianshan had already started the car. Looking at Ye Qing outside the car, Li Lianshan gritted his teeth and slammed on the accelerator, driving straight out of the abandoned factory.

Ye Qing kept watching from behind, worried that the monks might try to stop Li Lianshan. However, the monks kept their word and didn’t chase after Li Lianshan. Watching Li Lianshan drive away into the distance, Ye Qing finally breathed a sigh of relief. At least, Li Lianshan’s life was saved.

But now the situation was quite troublesome. As soon as Li Lianshan’s car left, the dozen or so monks immediately surrounded Ye Qing, blocking all his escape routes.

”Now that your buddy has driven away, are you going to keep your promise?” The leading monk looked at Ye Qing and spoke in a deep voice.

Ye Qing gave the group a cold glance and said sternly, ”You bald monks, I respect you as men of the cloth and have been lenient, not striking hard. I didn’t expect you to turn on me and kill so many of my brothers. Just as well, I’ve been looking for you, and here you are. Today, let’s settle old and new scores together!”

With that, Ye Qing suddenly tossed Weiye forward, shouting, ”Take him back!”

In Ye Qing’s hands, Weiye was like a rag doll, unable to resist. Thrown by Ye Qing, he couldn’t stop and collided with the three monks in front of him.

The three monks tried to block Weiye together, but their strength was far inferior to Ye Qing’s. Weiye crashed into them, and the three were knocked to the ground, looking very embarrassed.

Seeing the situation, the leading monk’s face turned icy, and he pointed at Ye Qing, roaring, ”Kill him, avenge Third Elder!”

With the monk’s shout, the surrounding monks instantly rushed forward, encircling Ye Qing and attacking with fists and kicks.

Seeing the monks attack, Ye Qing quickly assessed their strength. These monks were all skilled, none of them weak. But Ye Qing was not the same as before. In his eyes, these monks weren’t even on par with someone like Ghost King Li Ruoyuan. Even surrounded by more than ten monks, they posed little threat to him.

Understanding their strength, Ye Qing felt no worries and rushed into the fray. Using the invincible close combat of Wing Chun, the fierce Bajiquan, and the mysterious Tiangang Beidou Step Technique, Ye Qing moved through the crowd like a slippery eel. Despite the simultaneous attacks of over a dozen monks, none managed to land a blow on him, and instead, he knocked down four.
