Urban Martial Saint

Actually, Northern Martial Zen is quite innocent; he was completely set up by Ye Qing and hadn’t done anything yet.

When the members of the Wanyan Family rushed into this Ancestral Tomb Tower and saw that the coffins of several ancestors upstairs were all opened, they were nearly exploding with anger. Since it was Northern Martial Zen who rushed in just now, the Wanyan Family naturally pinned all the blame on him, and their goal immediately focused on Northern Martial Zen.

Northern Martial Zen had no way to continue down the tunnel to pursue Ye Qing. Moreover, his son, Bei Shisan, had been stabbed by Ye Qing and was now seriously injured. He himself was also hit by a bomb and suffered internal injuries. In such a situation, how could he dare to fight the Wanyan Family head-on?

”Let’s go!” Northern Martial Zen gave a low shout, instructing a few disciples to carry Bei Shisan, leading the charge as they fought their way out.

Although there were many members of the Wanyan Family, Northern Martial Zen was, after all, close to being a Peak Master. Even with so many Wanyan Family members together, they couldn’t stop him and could only watch helplessly as he left with Bei Shisan.

”Northern Martial Zen, this matter is far from over!” An elder shouted angrily, ”You desecrated the ancestral tombs of the Wanyan Family and wounded members of the Wanyan Family. If we don’t avenge this, how can the Wanyan Family ever face the world again? Once our prince returns, he will surely invade the Bei Family, and wherever the Northern Desert Iron Cavalry treads, the Bei Family will be left utterly destroyed!”

Northern Martial Zen, feeling guilty, ignored the elder’s angry shouts and hastily left with Bei Shisan and the disciples. He suffered a huge loss at the Wanyan Family, gaining nothing and nearly losing his son’s life. Most crucially, a deep feud with the Wanyan Family was irrevocably formed this time. He had to return to the North quickly, recuperate, and always be ready for Prince Wan Yan to seek revenge.

Of course, he hated Ye Qing the most in his heart. His downfall was entirely due to Ye Qing’s manipulation, and now he wished he could kill Ye Qing with his own hands. But Ye Qing had vanished without a trace, and finding him now was almost impossible, so he could only set aside this grudge temporarily, to settle it later when he finds Ye Qing.

The most speechless ones were Handsome Fatty Wang and his peers. They had worked hard for three days straight, digging a long tunnel like groundhogs. They had barely infiltrated the Wanyan Family and stolen the Dragon Blood Wood, thinking they were finally going to make a fortune, only to be caught up by Ye Qing after a few steps, beaten up, have the Dragon Blood Wood snatched from them, and left behind as targets.

Failing to catch Ye Qing and unable to stop Northern Martial Zen, the Wanyan Family’s target shifted to Handsome Fatty Wang and his group. In the end, only Handsome Fatty Wang’s group was captured by the Wanyan Family. Their efforts were not only fruitless, like drawing water with a bamboo basket, but they toiled hard like migrant workers for several days. Handsome Fatty Wang’s frustration was beyond words.

Ye Qing, who had taken the Dragon Blood Wood, escaped the tunnel but didn’t leave Jin Village directly and instead stealthily returned near the Wan Yan Manor. He wasn’t sure if Northern Martial Zen had left, but he knew very well that the most dangerous place was often the safest. Northern Martial Zen would never expect him to return near the Wan Yan Manor, so he felt relatively safe staying there.

After hiding in a deserted small clinic for over three hours, the Wanyan Family’s side finally quieted down a bit, indicating that the situation inside had been mostly handled. Speculating that Northern Martial Zen should have left too, Ye Qing quietly exited the clinic and sneaked into the Wanyan Family unnoticed.

Although the Wanyan Family had just experienced chaos, their defenses were not very strict now. After all, it was almost daylight, and who would expect that, after such an upheaval, someone would dare to infiltrate the Wanyan Family again? It was as if they had eaten a bear’s heart and leopard’s courage.

Upon entering the Wanyan Family, Ye Qing bypassed several groups of guards and finally found a lone person hurrying through the courtyard, uncertain about what he was doing.

Seeing no one around, Ye Qing walked directly over, covered this person’s mouth, and dragged him behind the rockery beside the flower bed.

The man was startled and struggled desperately, but he was no match for Ye Qing. After Ye Qing struck several acupoints on his body, he immediately lost the strength to struggle. Ye Qing took out the Wu Hong Dagger, placed it on his neck, and whispered, ”I’ll ask you questions, and you answer honestly. Shout, and I’ll kill you, understand?”

Feeling the cold edge of the Wu Hong Dagger, the man nodded, visibly terrified.

Ye Qing slowly let go of his hand, and the man truly didn’t dare to shout, only looked at Ye Qing in panic. Judging by his expression, he probably did not expect anyone would dare to cause trouble within the Wanyan Family.

”Where are the few people you captured earlier being held?” Ye Qing asked in a low voice.

The man replied softly, ”In... in the dungeon...”

”Dungeon?” Ye Qing frowned and asked grimly, ”Does the Wanyan Family have a dungeon?”

”It’s... just in the fifth courtyard to the north. It’s the Wanyan Family’s dungeon, specifically used for holding people...” The man’s voice was very low, completely out of fear of making too much noise and being killed by Ye Qing.

Ye Qing turned to look at the distant courtyard, memorized the location of the dungeon, nodded slowly, and asked in a low voice, ”How many guards are usually there in the dungeon, and what’s their strength like?”

”Usually there are five guards.” The man glanced at Ye Qing and said softly, ”Their strength is likely not as good as yours...”

The man’s description was quite vivid. Ye Qing was silent for a moment before saying, ”With those few people locked up just now, didn’t they increase the number of guards inside?”

”No.” The man shook his head directly and whispered, ”The most crucial item of my family was stolen. Currently, the three Great Elders have taken most of the family members outside to search for it. As for the people who were just brought into the dungeon, they don’t have much power, so there’s no need to guard them so strictly.”

”The most crucial item of your family? What is it?” Ye Qing asked.

”I don’t know either.” The man shrugged and said, ”That’s what the three Great Elders said. I didn’t even know such an item existed.”

Ye Qing asked, ”Then, what were you in such a hurry to do just now?”

The man said, ”We just got in touch with Prince Wan Yan. Prince Wan Yan instructed us not to seal off that tunnel yet and to wait for his return to handle the matter. I was hurrying over to tell them about it.”

”Why not seal the tunnel first?” Ye Qingqi asked.

”I don’t know either...” The man spread his hands, looking genuinely ignorant of Prince Wan Yan’s intentions.

Ye Qing also didn’t know what was on Prince Wan Yan’s mind, but he wasn’t planning to ask more. He came back this time to actually save Handsome Fatty Wang. Although Handsome Fatty Wang had set him up so many times, he wasn’t a vicious person, not deserving of death. If he were left at the Wanyan Family, he would surely die!

Seeing Ye Qing remain silent, the man panicked a bit and whispered, ”Big brother, I’ve honestly answered everything you want to know, can’t you... can’t you let me go first?”

”Sorry, you can’t leave so soon.” Ye Qing picked him up and said, ”You have to take me into the dungeon first.”

”Ah?” The man’s eyes widened, ”I... how can I take you in?”

”You’re from the Wanyan Family. If you take me in, no one will suspect you!” Ye Qing pushed the Wu Hong Dagger in his hand a little forward and whispered, ”You don’t want to take me in, do you?”

”No, no, big brother, big brother, let’s talk this over, let’s talk this over, I’ll... I’ll take you in, isn’t that fine?” The man was almost in tears, Ye Qing’s Wu Hong Dagger was sharp enough to scare him.

Ye Qing nodded satisfied, picked him up, unlocked a few acupoints on his body, and whispered, ”I’ll be right next to you. If you dare make any sudden moves, I guarantee I can cut off your head within a second!”

”No, big brother, I... I definitely won’t make any sudden moves...” The man said with a crying face, not daring to say anything, and cautiously led Ye Qing towards the dungeon.

It was late at night, and it was quite dark. Ye Qing followed this man and encountered two groups of guards. They surprisingly didn’t see that Ye Qing wasn’t a Wanyan family member, which allowed Ye Qing to easily enter the Wanyan Family’s dungeon.

Just as the man said, there were five guards in the dungeon. However, seeing this man come in, the guards didn’t notice anything different because there were so many Wanyan Family members that they really didn’t notice Ye Qing wasn’t one of them.

Ye Qing quietly observed the situation in the dungeon. The Wanyan Family’s dungeon was really solidly built, and it was no different from a real prison inside. Both sides were lined with iron-barred cells, with about twenty rooms, and Handsome Fatty Wang and others were locked in one of these rooms. When Ye Qing came in, Handsome Fatty Wang was still angrily cursing him.

Upon hearing Handsome Fatty Wang’s voice, Ye Qing inexplicably got angry. However, thinking about Handsome Fatty Wang’s current situation, Ye Qing suddenly felt joy in his heart. This guy had tricked Ye Qing so many times, and now he suffered a huge loss in Ye Qing’s hands, enough to cost him significantly.

After identifying the positions of Handsome Fatty Wang and the others, Ye Qing quietly approached the five guards from behind. Taking advantage of the moment when these five were not paying attention, he suddenly attacked, simultaneously knocking out the two in the back.

The remaining three guards still didn’t know what had happened and turned to look at Ye Qing. One of them asked in surprise, ”What are you doing?”

He had only said four words when Ye Qing directly punched him in the temple, causing him to faint on the ground.

The remaining two finally reacted, with one drawing the knife from his waist and charging at Ye Qing, while the other hastily turned to shout. But how could Ye Qing give them the chance? He dashed forward like an arrow and delivered a palm blade to this person’s neck, rendering him speechless.

As for the one who drew the knife, he couldn’t withstand two moves from Ye Qing’s hands either, following the others in being knocked out on the ground.
