Urban Martial Saint

Seeing that Master Craft could recognize the materials of the Gold Silk Armor, Ye Qing’s confidence in him increased. Undoubtedly, this Master Craft could certainly imitate both the Gold Silk Armor and the Dragon Blood Wood.

”Boss, let’s talk business first.” Ye Qing interrupted Master Craft and brought up the most crucial matter.

Master Craft placed the Gold Silk Armor on the table and said, ”Ye brothers, this matter is really difficult for me. This pair of Dragon Blood Wood is already extremely rare and impossible to imitate. As for this Gold Silk Armor, it’s even harder to replicate than the Dragon Blood Wood. The materials inside this Gold Silk Armor, our ancestral masters have only heard of over several generations. Trying to imitate this Gold Silk Armor, that’s even more impossible. After all, even if I use any other material to make this Gold Silk Armor, the moment someone holds it, they would immediately notice the weight is off and wouldn’t be deceived at all.”

”It’s not necessary to use the same materials,” Ye Qing said. ”The Gold Silk Armor has no weight, but the Dragon Blood Wood does have weight. You just need to make an imitation identical to this Gold Silk Armor and lock it in a wooden box. As long as people don’t open the box, who would know if it’s real or fake?”

Master Craft fell silent for a moment, then nodded and said, ”That’s not a bad idea, but the outside of the Dragon Blood Wood is also hard to imitate. No matter what material I use to replace it, if someone takes it out and cuts it, it will break easily and people will immediately recognize its authenticity.”

Ye Qing said, ”If one imitation piece is easily discovered, then make several; send them all out to confuse the public, then nothing will happen!”

”Make several more?” Master Craft glanced at Ye Qing and said, ”Making more will probably take some time and money.”

”Money is not a problem!” Ye Qing said readily. He had already planned to spend a significant amount before approaching Master Craft.

”Good!” Master Craft laughed heartily and said, ”In that case, this matter is settled. Ye brothers, I’ll first arrange for you to rest while I rush out an imitation for you to see. If you’re satisfied, we’ll proceed; if not, I can modify it to strive for the best replica!”

Ye Qing said, ”Then I’ll trouble you, Boss!”

”It’s no trouble!” Master Craft smiled and said, ”For you to bring these three items for me to see fulfills my greatest wish in life. I should be thanking you. Uncle Wu, come and arrange a room for Mr. Ye so he can rest first.”

Ye Qing followed the elderly man called Uncle Wu to rest. Meanwhile, Master Craft watched Ye Qing’s figure fade into the distance, and his eyes flashed with a bright gleam. He picked up the two pieces of Dragon Blood Wood and Gold Silk Armor on the table, his face full of excitement.

”Dragon Blood Wood! Gold Silk Armor! Hahaha...” Master Craft continuously let out a chilling laugh and whispered, ”Just these two pieces of Dragon Blood Wood are enough for me to spend a lifetime of wealth. Plus with this Gold Silk Armor, it seems fate has destined me to succeed!”

The young man who had been silent, standing behind, hurried over and whispered, ”Father, are these two pieces of Dragon Blood Wood really worth that much?”

”Nonsense!” Master Craft sneered, ”Someone once offered One Billion US Dollars to buy the piece of Dragon Blood Wood in the Capital but was never able to get it. We now have two pieces of Dragon Blood Wood in hand, and you think they’re not valuable?”

”One Billion US Dollars!” The young man took a deep breath and said, ”In that case, we should quickly sell these two pieces of Dragon Blood Wood without delay!”

”Why are you in such a hurry!” Master Craft said, ”That Ye fellow isn’t a fool; he’s very shrewd. If we just take the Dragon Blood Wood, he definitely won’t let us go and will hunt us down relentlessly, which would be a little too costly.”

”Am I supposed to be afraid of him?” The young man clenched his fists and said proudly.

Master Craft waved his hand and said, ”It’s not about fear; the important thing is that we don’t need to have a direct confrontation with him. Moreover, once we have a direct confrontation and take the Dragon Blood Wood and Gold Silk Armor, it won’t be half a day before people outside know these items are in my hands. By then, forget about whether we can sell these two things; whether the two of us can keep our lives will still be in question.”

”Then what should we do?” The young man shrugged helplessly and said, ”Can’t we just not take these three items?”

”Not really,” Master Craft sneered and said, ”I already have an idea. As long as you do as I say, not only will that Ye guy not find out that we took these three items, but outsiders also won’t know these items are in our hands. Now that is a perfect plan!”

”So what should we do?” The young man hurriedly asked, ”Didn’t you just say that Ye guy is very smart? If we do this, he will definitely find out everything.”

”Hehe...” Master Craft chuckled complacently, saying: ”Don’t forget, what is your old man good at. No matter how clever he is, can he tell the difference between my forgeries?”

”Hm? Forgeries?” The young man asked in surprise, ”Do we have to make forgeries for him?”

”Of course.” Master Craft said, ”Alright, stop wasting time. Go quickly and find these things for me. Don’t delay.”

The young man took the list Master Craft gave him and immediately dashed out of the hall without saying a word to search for these items. Master Craft also didn’t linger, taking two pieces of Dragon Blood Wood and the Gold Silk Armor straight to his usual forgery workshop.

In this manor, there’s a whole building dedicated to Master Craft for making forgeries. Master Craft took the three items into this building, promptly shut the door, and began crafting the forgery.

In the field of making forgeries, Master Craft was truly unmatched, but he lacked personal strength. Hence, he had no clue that inside this building, three pairs of eyes were quietly observing him. These three pairs of eyes belonged to Handsome Fatty Wang’s group.

Handsome Fatty Wang’s trio had learned the time Ye Qing was coming to meet Master Craft, so they had hurried here last night, preparing to seize the opportunity to steal the two pieces of Dragon Blood Wood. The three had sneaked into the building early and were anxiously waiting for Master Craft’s arrival. Seeing Master Craft really come with those three items, their emotions could only be described as overjoyed.

The man called Rabbit gave Handsome Fatty Wang a thumbs-up, signaling to Handsome Fatty Wang that his plan was indeed brilliant.

Handsome Fatty Wang chuckled proudly and gestured for the other two to be silent, indicating that they should wait for the right moment.

Not long after, Master Craft’s son brought in the materials Master Craft needed. With these materials, Master Craft fiddled for about an hour and finally produced three imitation pieces. From a distance, they looked exactly like the previous three.

Although Handsome Fatty Wang’s trio knew Master Craft’s skill in forgery was high, they had never actually seen him make these things. Seeing him produce these three items in such a short time, all they could do was marvel. No wonder so many people seek Master Craft for forgeries; his craftsmanship was truly exceptional.

After finishing the first set, Master Craft didn’t stop and started working on the second set. This second set was made much more easily than the first, taking just over forty minutes. Next, the third, fourth, and up until the fifth set were completed before he finally stopped.

Handsome Fatty Wang saw clearly that out of so many, only two sets were exactly the same as those before. The remaining three sets, while appearing identical in shape, had some markings scratched on the bottom, presumably to tell the genuine from the fake. However, since he wanted to distinguish them, why didn’t the previous two sets have these markings?

”Dad, why did you make so many?” the young man asked with surprise from the side, ”And why did you mark only three sets?”

”Hehe...” Master Craft sneered coldly, saying: ”The two sets without markings are to trick Ye Qing. As for the three sets with markings, they are meant for Ye Qing to take away. Just think, if none of these had markings, wouldn’t Ye Qing doubt us?”

”You… you mean…” The young man looked at the two sets without markings and whispered: ”Are we going to use these unmarked ones to pass off as real, while keeping the genuine articles back?”

”You’re absolutely right!” Master Craft nodded slowly, saying, ”Only this way can we deceive him, and it will make everyone believe Ye Qing took the genuine articles, ensuring they won’t come looking for trouble with us.”

The young man was overjoyed, saying: ”Dad, your idea is brilliant. I’d better go find that Ye guy now and have him come take these forgeries away.”

Master Craft smiled faintly and nodded, casually placing the genuine Dragon Blood Wood and Gold Silk Armor into a cabinet. Master Craft’s overconfidence was apparent, boldly storing the three genuine items like this in his own place.

Watching from the darkness, Handsome Fatty Wang’s trio saw everything clearly. Seeing Master Craft stash the three genuine articles away, Handsome Fatty Wang immediately turned around, gesturing for the other two to leave first.

The two didn’t understand Handsome Fatty Wang’s intention but followed him out quietly. Once outside the building, Rabbit asked softly, ”Fatty, what’s up?”

”Didn’t you hear? That Ye guy is coming soon. Do we just stand here waiting to die?” Handsome Fatty Wang whispered back, ”Let’s wait here for a while. After all, those genuine articles are just sitting in the cabinet, and they won’t give them to Ye Qing. So we can go take them anytime; there’s no rush.”
