Urban Martial Saint

Pi Junchao sat unmoved, quietly watching Xu Hongcai, and said, ”Whether I’m the new gang leader or not hasn’t been decided yet, so talking about this is premature.”

The man angrily said, ”Regardless if you’re the new gang leader or not, we’re all members of the Fierce Tiger Gang. When a brother is in trouble, can we just sit back and ignore it?”

Ye Qing stood up, pointed at the man, and shouted loudly, ”Cut the crap, if you don’t like it, you can come over here!”

For the sake of the money, Ye Qing didn’t care about making a few more enemies; he needed to forcefully suppress everyone present.

Seeing Ye Qing’s strength, the man didn’t dare to approach, and could only angrily say, ”You... do you really think our Fierce Tiger Gang has no one left? There are so many of us, just our spit alone could drown you. Don’t be too arrogant!”

”Anyone who disagrees can come over!” Ye Qing quickly scanned the crowd; no one dared to meet his gaze.

That man was immediately dumbfounded; he had gotten up to speak for Xu Hongcai because they were close. He hadn’t expected that everyone would be afraid of Ye Qing, which made his position very awkward.

Ye Qing looked at the man and said, ”If you disagree, then come over, if you agree, then sit down and behave!”

The man’s face turned crimson, but in the end, he sat down helplessly. Alone, he couldn’t do much with no one supporting him, and he didn’t dare to confront Ye Qing directly.

Thus, Xu Hongcai also completely despaired. He struggled to lift his head and said gravely, ”Ye, if you have the guts, kill me right here; otherwise, I swear I won’t let you off!”

”Want to die? No problem!” Ye Qing grabbed Xu Hongcai by the collar, lifted him up, and punched him in the face. Blood immediately streamed down Xu Hongcai’s face.

Ye Qing wasn’t a murderous person; he always had a reason for everything he did. Xu Hongcai kept saying he’d seek revenge against him. Ye Qing wasn’t afraid of Xu Hongcai, but who knew if Xu Hongcai would go after Mu Qingrong and the other women, like Tiger King did. Thus, Ye Qing had already made up his mind to deal with Xu Hongcai; he couldn’t leave any potential threats.

Moreover, since Xu Hongcai was one of Tiger King’s men, he certainly wasn’t a good sort. It was unknown how many atrocious deeds he had committed, so even if Ye Qing killed him, it wouldn’t be excessive!

Everyone, including Pi Junchao, hadn’t expected Ye Qing to be so assertive, to actually start a fight right there. Ye Qing’s punch was so severe that it almost ended Xu Hongcai’s life, leaving him lying on the ground with blood sputtering from his nose and mouth. And Ye Qing showed no sign of stopping as he kicked Xu Hongcai in the chest.

Xu Hongcai let out a muffled cry of pain, his ribs broken, screaming in agony like a pig being slaughtered.

The members of the Fierce Tiger Gang were all stunned, and Zhao Chengshuang was also dazed for a while. After recovering, he immediately gave Ye Qing a thumbs up.

With this action, Ye Qing was able to intimidate everyone present, making it easier for him later when he wanted to extort them.

Pi Junchao had only heard that Ye Qing was skilled, but this time he truly witnessed his capabilities, leaving him even more shocked. Naturally, he also felt fortunate that he hadn’t refused Ye Qing’s debt collection, otherwise, he might have been the one lying on the ground.

Seeing that Ye Qing was about to continue, Pi Junchao hurriedly went over to stop him, saying, ”Mr. Ye, although Old Xu is straightforward, he is still one of our Fierce Tiger Gang. Give me some face and spare his life.”

Ye Qing then stopped, not because he intended to spare Xu Hongcai, but because he knew Pi Junchao wouldn’t let Xu Hongcai off. Since Xu Hongcai was one of Tiger King’s men and Pi Junchao wanted to take control of the Fierce Tiger Gang, he definitely planned to eliminate him, so Ye Qing didn’t need to worry about it.

And after this tumult, Ye Qing had successfully established his authority, at least making those present start to look at him with fear.

Pi Junchao was very satisfied with Ye Qing’s actions. He gestured for a few people to pull the blood-covered Xu Hongcai back to his seat, smiled faintly at everyone, and said, ”It looks like Old Xu won’t be able to leave for a while, so let’s continue the meeting.”

The expressions of those present looked awful. With Pi Junchao’s cue and Ye Qing sparing Xu Hongcai, everyone felt that Pi Junchao had allied with Ye Qing. With the support of Poisonous Mantis and Zhao Chengshuang backing him in Shenchuan City, if he teamed up with Pi Junchao, wouldn’t it add wings to a tiger?

”Back to our previous topic, about the money. Should everyone contribute, or should I pay it all?” Pi Junchao looked at everyone and said, ”There are sixteen of us here—eighty million isn’t a lot, it’s just five hundred thousand each. If everyone is willing to share this burden, I don’t mind.”

Pi Junchao spoke as if it was reasonable, but in reality, most of those present were broke. Although each had their own power, they didn’t have much money; five hundred thousand practically amounted to their entire fortune. Who would want to part with all their money? Pi Junchao was clearly aware of this, which is why he phrased it this way, trying to force everyone back with the money.

”Boss Pi, I think you’re a bit off here,” Zhao Chengshuang suddenly spoke up, which surprised everyone in the room, including Pi Junchao who was momentarily taken aback.

Seeing how Ye Qing dealt with Xu Hongcai and how he had given him face, Pi Junchao thought he could use both Ye Qing and Zhao Chengshuang to his advantage. However, Zhao Chengshuang’s sudden objection at this point gave him an uneasy feeling.

”Captain Zhao, what’s wrong?” Pi Junchao looked at Zhao Chengshuang while quietly gesturing to him not to oppose him, implying that he would definitely give him benefits.

Zhao Chengshuang ignored Pi Junchao and said, ”Although there are sixteen people present, everyone’s worth is different, and they own different territories of the Fierce Tiger Gang. How can we simply split this money equally?”

As soon as Zhao Chengshuang said this, he immediately got the support of everyone present, except for Pi Junchao who was clearly embarrassed and said, ”Captain Zhao, everyone is hustling under the banner of the Fierce Tiger Gang, there shouldn’t be any differences.”

”How can there be no differences? Five hundred thousand might mean nothing to you, but it’s different for others.” Zhao Chengshuang looked around at the crowd and asked, ”Do you all think I’m right?”

”Captain Zhao is absolutely right!”

”Exactly, just like Captain Zhao said, we can’t split the money equally!”

”It should be divided based on the size of the territories, otherwise it’s not fair!”

The crowd loudly supported Zhao Chengshuang, making Pi Junchao frown tightly. He suddenly felt that this meeting had already spiraled out of his control. Zhao Chengshuang was not intending to help him but instead seemed to want to take the opportunity to make a different move.

”So, Captain Zhao, how do you think this money should be split?” Pi Junchao asked, having just seen Ye Qing take action, he really didn’t dare to offend these people now and could only give Zhao Chengshuang plenty of face.

”Everyone’s territories and strengths vary, so no matter how it’s split, it won’t be easy to be fair.” Zhao Chengshuang pondered for a moment and said, ”However, I have an idea that I’d like for everyone to consider.”

”Please speak, Captain Zhao!”

”Captain Zhao’s idea will definitely be fine!”

”As long as it’s fair, whatever Captain Zhao says goes!”

Everyone unanimously supported Zhao Chengshuang, nobody was willing to let Pi Junchao get the upper hand. Thus, it had now turned into a coalition of other forces supporting Zhao Chengshuang in negotiations with Pi Junchao.

Zhao Chengshuang inwardly smirked, this was exactly the effect he wanted.

Zhao Chengshuang said, ”The Fierce Tiger Gang has become what it is now, frankly speaking, the situation is indeed a bit awkward. No matter how this money is split, it doesn’t suit. So, I think, the best method is still to compensate with assets, that way no one will lose out!”

”How to compensate with assets?” Pi Junchao looked around at the people and asked, ”I wonder what Captain Zhao thinks would be suitable to put up as compensation?”

”Compensating with assets is just a way of saying, what I mean is...” Zhao Chengshuang looked at the crowd and said, ”The Fierce Tiger Gang has undergone this huge change, and many venues were snatched by other gangs. Although these venues are still under the name of the Fierce Tiger Gang, they are not managed by the gang’s people anymore. So, these venues, they belong to none of the people here.

If everyone agrees, we can use these venues to settle this sum of money!”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone fell into silence. Those involved knew very well that making money is easy, but capturing territories is not. The venues that were snatched were some of the most profitable ones of the Fierce Tiger Gang. Zhao Chengshuang had set his sights on these venues to use them to settle debts, and honestly, those present were unwilling to make this deal.

Because, as long as the venues existed, they could always make money, but once given to Zhao Chengshuang, getting them back would be difficult!

”Do you gentlemen disagree with my idea?” Zhao Chengshuang lazily leaned back in his wheelchair and said, ”If you disagree, then there’s nothing I can do, you all continue to discuss. Ye Zi, the three-day deadline that Poisonous Mantis gave you, how much longer is left?”

”A day and a half,” Ye Qing paused before adding, ”But, I plan to get the accounts handled within two days, and on the third day, I’ll deliver it to her. Otherwise, we just might exceed the three-day deadline!”

These words were intentionally stated by Ye Qing in collusion with Zhao Chengshuang, used to frighten these people. These people might not fear Ye Qing or Zhao Chengshuang, but who wouldn’t fear Poisonous Mantis?

Suddenly, He Boyang slapped the table and stood up, loudly saying, ”I support Captain Zhao’s idea, compensating with assets is most suitable. These venues aren’t under any of our names anyway, even if exchanged, nobody suffers losses; this is the best idea!”

He Boyang was very clear in his heart that his power was weak, and even if he could successfully break away from the Fierce Tiger Gang, he would just be a mere local thug, with no chance to contend with others. The profitable venues were out of his reach, so he readily agreed to this matter.

Firstly, he wouldn’t have to spend money; secondly, it resolved the issue; and thirdly, it also gave Zhao Chengshuang face, a three-for-one deal, so he was, of course, the first to step forward.

”He Boyang, have you lost your mind?” a man burst out shouting: ”That’s the foundation of the Fierce Tiger Gang, you are handing over the base of the gang just like that, are you fucking suicidal? If you dare say that again, I’ll be the first to kill you!”
