Urban Martial Saint

Everyone around was stunned. They had seen Black Bear make his move and thought he was formidable. But to their surprise, Ye Qing’s counterattack was even more ferocious, forcibly dislocating both of Prince’s arms.

Prince writhed on the ground in pain, screaming and howling with rage, ”I... I won’t let you get away with this. You just wait... you just wait, I will not let this go... I’m going to get people now...”

Ye Qing sat down on a chair nearby and said, ”If you’re going to call people, then hurry up. I’ll be waiting right here!”

Prince’s henchmen hurried over and helped him up, leaving the scene. The woman with them glared at Ye Qing and his friends, declaring, ”You just wait! You just wait! My uncle will be here soon!”

Zhao Chengshuang glared and cursed, ”Scram! Don’t think we don’t hit women and you can nag here. Believe it or not, I’ll take care of you too!”

The woman jumped in fright and quickly ran off with Prince and the others.

Meanwhile, the shop owner watched everything in shock and took a long time to snap back to reality. He could never have imagined that Prince, who usually strutted around this area so arrogantly, would be beaten and run off like a stray dog this time. And what was more crucial, these three didn’t seem to intend to leave after beating Prince; instead, they sat down at the table.

Weren’t they afraid that Prince would come back for revenge?

Ye Qing pulled the little girl over to the table. She still clung tightly to that plastic bag, her face full of panic. However, when she saw the food on the table, her gaze was drawn to it. She kept swallowing her saliva, looking very hungry.

Ye Qing did not know how she had come to this point, but seeing her like this, he pointed to the food on the table and said, ”Eat.”

The little girl glanced at Ye Qing, then at the food on the table, but did not go over. She wanted to eat, but there was obvious fear in her eyes.

”Don’t be afraid, go ahead and eat, I’ll pay for it,” Ye Qing comforted her in a low voice.

The little girl lowered her head and whispered, ”This... This food belonged to those uncles before, they... they will beat me...”

Ye Qing’s heart ached, and he said softly, ”It’s okay, no one is going to hit you. You just eat!”

”Whoever dares to lay a finger on you, I’ll break his hand!” Black Bear shouted loudly.

The little girl looked at Ye Qing and then at Black Bear. Finally, unable to resist the hunger, she walked over, grabbed food from the table, and gobbled it up. While eating, she also stuffed food into the plastic bag as if she were stocking up.

The owner, seeing this, became anxious and came over, saying, ”This... This is Prince’s table. You...”

”Scram!” Zhao Chengshuang bellowed, and the owner immediately shut up. These three men weren’t afraid even of Prince, so he was in no position to speak anymore.

Ye Qing remembered that the last time he had called the police, the officers took these people away. Logically, the police should have helped them contact their families to pick them up. Even if they couldn’t reach their families, they should have been sent to an orphanage or a shelter. So why was this little girl out here begging again? What exactly had happened?

These questions seemed to be answerable only by the little girl. Ye Qing watched her quietly, intending to ask her once she had finished eating.

However, not ten minutes had passed when the sound of roaring motorcycles suddenly came from afar.

Many people at the scene looked up to see a sedan, two vans, and about a dozen motorcycles speeding around the street corner. One look at the attire of these people was enough to tell that they weren’t good news. Especially from one of the vans, Prince stuck his head out, his arm somehow; patched up, as he arrogantly pointed in Ye Qing’s direction, shouting something loudly.

”It’s Black Three!” one of the customers exclaimed—they were locals and recognized the identity of these people.

When the owner saw this gang, his confidence surged, and he pointed at Ye Qing, cursing, ”Damn it, you have to pay for this meal. Otherwise, don’t even think about leaving this place!”

Black Bear glanced at him, and the owner immediately turned and ran, not even daring to look back.

Three vehicles and more than a dozen motorcycles charged up to the food stall, with the motorcycles actually driving right in, surrounding Ye Qing and his two companions. The motorcyclists circled around them menacingly, much like gangsters in a movie, projecting quite an intimidating presence.

Out of the vehicles, Prince accompanied a dark and robust man as they approached. This robust man seemed to be the Black Three mentioned by others.

”Damn, in the land of no tigers, a monkey is called king!” Zhao Chengshuang sneered, ”After Old Five Chen died, this Black Three emerged. No matter how grand his entrance is, he’s still just a worthless thug, all bark, and no bite!”

In the midst of speaking, Black Three, along with Prince and about eight or nine lackeys, approached. Counting the motorcyclists circling around, there were over twenty people, quite a formidable array.

Black Three held a cigarette in one hand and his waist with the other, tilting his head back as if he owned the whole sky, and declared with an air of disdain, ”Who’s the badass that dislocated my brother’s arms? Come on, step forward and let me have a look!”

Ye Qing shielded the little girl behind him and took a step forward, saying, ”It was me!”

Black Three then lowered his head and looked Ye Qing up and down before saying, ”You’ve got quite the nerve, haven’t you? Didn’t you ask around about who Black Three is before coming here? You even dare to hit my brother, are you sick of living?”

”Damn, just a little nobody, trying to act like the big boss!” Zhao Chengshuang complained dissatisfiedly, ”Old Five Chen is gone, who are you trying to scare here?”

Black Three glanced at Zhao Chengshuang and slightly furrowed his brow. He felt Zhao Chengshuang looked familiar, but couldn’t recall where he’d seen him before.

”Old Five Chen is fucking history now, who are you trying to intimidate by mentioning him?” Black Three glared at Zhao Chengshuang and said, ”I won’t waste words with you guys. How are you planning to settle my brother’s account?”

Zhao Chengshuang said, ”I’ve already given him thirty thousand yuan, you better take him to get checked out quick. I will cover the medical expenses, and whatever is left, you can give it back to me another day!”

”Don’t you fucking joke with me, if you don’t want to talk, then we won’t talk!” Black Three waved his hand, and immediately, his little brothers pulled out machetes and steel pipes from their waists.

”Eldest Brother, chop them up! Kill them!” Prince shouted excitedly, backed by so many people, he instantly regained his arrogant local thug demeanor.

The diners around them were immediately scared off, while the owner shouted excitedly from a distance as if he had participated in the action.

”Daring to pull a knife, you guys really have some guts!” Zhao Chengshuang warmed up his palms and fists and said, ”Come on, let’s see who of you dares to flick my finger!”

Black Three waved his machete and roared, ”If we can’t settle this account for my brother, I’ll fucking chop you three bastards up!”

Ye Qing furrowed his brow slightly, too lazy to argue with someone like Black Three. But if Black Three insisted on bullying him, he would have to fight back.

Black Bear had already grabbed a chair nearby, ready to knock down a few people first.

Just then, several cars drove past the roadside. However, not long after, the cars turned back and headed straight for the food stall, stopping beside it.

Everyone turned to look, who was coming at this time?

Black Three also watched the cars, not a fool, knowing from the look of the cars that the people inside were not simple.

The car doors opened, and several men stepped out. Seeing the man in the lead, Black Three’s expression changed immediately, he stopped paying attention to Ye Qing and the others, and hurried over, nodding and bowing with a smile, ”Li, what brings you here? I’m Black Three, formerly under Chen Wuye, we’ve met before...”

The man ignored him and walked straight up to Ye Qing and the others, saying, ”Ye Zi, Black Bear, Cheng Shuang, what are you three doing here?”

This man was none other than Li Lianshan, he was originally going to meet some clients in his venue when he saw Ye Qing and the others from afar and turned around to come over.

Black Three was immediately stunned. After Old Five Chen’s death, he had been wanting to join under Li Lianshan. But after contacting Li Lianshan a few times, Li had never paid him any attention. To him, Li Lianshan was one of the few people at the top of the city’s pyramid, and he didn’t even count as a middle-level person in that pyramid, Li Lianshan’s men were far stronger than he was.

But now, seeing how Li Lianshan was so polite to Ye Qing and the others, he suddenly felt that something was wrong. These three people were definitely not as simple as he imagined. It seemed that he had indeed stirred up a hornet’s nest this time!

”Wow, Old Li, perfect timing!” Zhao Chengshuang immediately smiled and said, ”If you didn’t come now, we would’ve been chopped up by these big bosses here. Look how vicious they are, the weapons in their hands are lethal!”

Li Lianshan frowned, turned his head and gave Black Three a look. Black Three shuddered, promptly put the machete back in his waist, and awkwardly smiled at Li with an appeasing expression, ”Li, they... they are your friends? I... I didn’t know, this really is a case of... the Dragon King Temple being flooded by big water, look how this turned out...”

”How do you want to handle this?” Li Lianshan looked at Ye Qing and asked directly. People like Black Three were no different from trash in his eyes.

Ye Qing pointed to the little girl beside him and said, ”Let them go, don’t scare the child!”

Li Lianshan looked at the frightened eyes of the little girl and suddenly felt a rush of anger. He had adopted a godson recently and had developed a special affection for children, hating to see adults bully kids the most.

Li Lianshan turned his head and glared at Black Three, saying, ”Scram!”

”Li, I... I really didn’t know...” Black Three tried to explain, but a burly man next to Li Lianshan slapped him across the face, cursing, ”The boss told you to scram, didn’t you hear?”

Black Three, covering his face, looked at Li Lianshan, then glanced at Ye Qing, and eventually didn’t dare to let out a single fart. Holding his face, he led his men to flee in a panic.

Everyone around, including the owner, were completely astonished. They all knew of Black Three’s influence in the area, but did not expect that with just a word from Li Lianshan, Black Three and his men would run off with their tails between their legs. The looks they gave Ye Qing and the others went from mockery at the beginning to reverence.

As for the owner, he was so frightened that he didn’t dare to return to his stall, only regretting why he had to be so talkative tonight, why did he have to butt in with his comments?
